I own A Series 2 Disco and have done plenty of off road trips in the Victorian High Country and Deserts of Australia in my old 4X4 - but nothing comes near green laning at 10 kph- Soooo envious!

No. The only unnecessary expense I have had is a failure of the brake pump that is attached to the Alternator. Could not purchase a replacement separately to the Alternator, so now I own a spare , near new Alternator.

Boring???? Ha! Somebody has been on the wrong lanes! Granted, most lanes are extremely gentle, but you take the rough with the smooth, plenty of them have more than enough to justify a full day’s adventure... quit whining and look properly. :)

Disco's are crap as is the Merc 4x4 and the BMW x5, well that a total joke in the snow, in fact they are all a joke in the snow, there is only one 4x4 and that's the Audi Quattro, don't believe it go into "Audi Quattro in the snow. "Be amazed"

The Audi Quattro isn't a 4x4 it's AWD. There's a difference... btw, Subaru AWD is 10x better than Audis. Just saying.

Go for a walk or MTB instead. Just because you supposedly have the right the right to use it doesn't mean it is right to do so. Sad, mid life crisis pastime.
People have their own hobbies and things to make them feel happy. Just because you don't like vehicles using them, doesn't mean they shouldn't. I don't like Cyclists using roads, but they have a right too so I let them get on with it.
