Time to buy a Grenadier then..
@@jandreneethling5664 that thing looks to be epic, I'd definately invest my money in one of them rather than that "Defender"
@@jandreneethling5664 By the time that is released, it will be either hydrogen/electric powered. So much for simplicity.
Nice Shout out to' Barbour for Land Rover ' love the Duke Richard 👍
The perfect review of the new defender. "Put a discovery badge on it". Been saying this ever since I saw the drawings of the latest defender.
“Criticising anyone is a war crime”.
Very true.
I hate it.
You're wrong.
Criticizing people is actually a very popular thing these days.
@@FatGouf if you say litteraly anything infront of a karen or a progres they call the Police for "ofending them"
@@marianoamaya3351 exactly!
@@FatGouf Hes right. You...are wrong
Plot twist:
The dog had seen too much of Hammond's history to go with him in a Land Rover Defender.
Including a 5 minute advert with VBH advertising a Grenadier.
That’s novel. 🤣😂
During my school year during the early 2000s, I was proud to work on the defender line at the Solihull Plant!
The dog is gorgeous!!
When the dog didn't have to get in the car with Hammond he breathed the biggest sigh of relief
Turns out there are some people who are subbed to drive tribe and have notifications on just to dislike within the first minute.
They probably saw that new gopping Land Rover and disliked the car not the channel?
Maybe the popular opinion is that the car is horrible.
I would imagine one of them is chris evans
Should get an Ineos Grenadier instead of the new Land Rover “Defender”.
Love it, love the way all 3 of them describe things.
I absolutely AGREE! That's why I want one
6:50
This is the most accurate statement I have heard in a while
Well said Richard!!
It is a discovery!! Rather than a defender.
back then a smartphone could draw a crowd with pitch forks and fire 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🙌🏼🙌🏼
You hit the nail on the head with the discovery thing
Nice colour choice Mr. Hammond!
Blue is the answer!
Of the 3, Hamster is the best at telling a automotive story. Not sure if it's because he's the biggest petrol head of the trio or his style but, I feel it's both.
I reckon James may as well, he could make a boring car very interesting
That’s a lovely series 1!
Not sure about the defender thoughz
This review gave me realy strong original early-days-top-gear vibes..
Sweet, a little dog, and Hammond as his owner, too sweet pair
The Dog is Medium Sized. Not Small.
One of the most real reviews of a car I have ever seen. Richard just gave us all a dose of reality... other reviewers should take note
Hello Hammond
3:19 "Hammoooonddd, you infantile pillock you said we were going for a walk!"
Haha, best review on the new Defender I have seen. Especially the last comment.
This is so well edited, a joy to watch!
The rebuild of the Series 1 could be the most interesting thing this year on youtube. Come on Richard Hammond, make it so.
Drivetribe, any chance you could turn this into a pay service like Netflix. And have each of the three lads do a car video once a week? I'd cancel prime and and Netflix for that!!
Or they could start a podcast and ditch the grand tour forever
@@saintbarnabasshackles2437 or that! Just would like to see them muck about in cars again. Would love to see Hammond review that new electric tycan Porsche.
@@jezza82 honestly, i listened to the full radio show they did for that top gear challenge. It was one of the most entertaining things ive listened to
I've been going through and watching their top gear lately and I thought the same thing. Do a weekly podcast or something even through a Zoom call and basically do the old news or conversation street style segments for an hour or so.
Land Rover Past: Just legendary.
Land Rover Present: Just unreliable handbag cars.
Great dog. Great new Defender. Not a Disco. I actually love the D5. Kudos to Land Rover.
Absolutely! A Discovery badge on that thing would have made more sense.
