I’ve recently started taking my slouch hat with me in the shower and bashing it. Works just as well as if you were putting it in water for 24hrs for using steam as said in the video
Hi, do you know how to stitch the loosen thread of the slouch hat clipper? mines very loose and I cannot unclip the brim in fear of snatching off the whole thing
G'day AA, This is quite a common problem. The best method is to sew in with a replacement thread/yarn. Cut the remainder of the old yarn and remove it. Using a needle and thread. (the issue sewing kit has similar yarn to use), start and finish the knot on the inside of the hat. Loop the thread through three or four times on each side and tie off tightly on the inside. Use the existing holes. I have placed a couple of photos for reference on the community page. Hope this helps. Regards Ash.
@@Ashapplications I couldn't find the photos on the page though would it possible for you to draw or annotate the process through an instructional video or sort? I am a bit confused. Thank you
@@anonymousanonymous4629 No worries, I am making a vid on Slouch Hat cleaning, so I will briefly touch on the sewing of the Hat clip to give you a better idea. The photos of the hat clip can be found through the link below: ruclips.net/user/Ashapplicationscommunity Regards Ash.
G'day AA, just publish the latest vid with cleaning techniques for Slouch Hats. It aslos contains bonus footage of the steps to sew the hat clip to the side. Link below: ruclips.net/video/RSZKiDrPjBA/видео.html Hope this helps. Regards Ash
@@Ashapplications Thanks so much, I was able to resitch it but the thread is a complete different colour to the original one. Would you also know how to clean a pair of terra boots without damaging them?
