Is The Village of Burk's Falls a Ghost Town?

Burk's Falls is an incorporated village in the Almaguin Highlands region of Parry Sound District, Ontario, Canada, located 265 kilometers (165 mi) north of Toronto and 90 kilometers (56 mi) south of North Bay, Ontario. The village, and the waterfall on the site, were named (for himself) by David Francis Burk of Oshawa, after he selected the land surrounding the waterfall in the Free Land Grant Act. Burk's Falls is part of the Magnetawan River waterway.

Whoa, I used to go to school here when I was a kid in the early 2000s. I remember it had a lot of small businesses, it was a cute town. They built a freeway that bypasses the community and it went downhill ever since. Sad to see it like this.

This is my Hometown.I lived there was 50 years and finally sold the family home n moved away.Miss it so much as it was such a close knit little village that use to have a lot of businesses,but once the bypass went through it went to almost a ghost town.So sad😢The video was Awesome through thanks for sharing.One of the reasons I left nothing to do or anywhere to shop in town anymore.

This must have been filmed on a Sunday, because usually a lot of people during the week. Usually a lot more cars parked on the road…..
