Well the problem with the lw Div right now isn’t even just that it’s stacked, it’s that it’s heavily clogged all the way from the 1 ranking to the ranking gamrot and tsaryukan are at and it’s clogged by big name ppv main event fighters. You’ve got just ahead of fiziev who id say is part of the up coming flock of fighters like tsaryukan and gamrot, Conor mcgregor, Tony ferguson, rda, dariush, Michael chandler, islam, Justin gaethje, Dustin Poirier, and then Charles olivera and out of all these fighters some with more name value then others but allll who are big name main event fighters, the only ones I can see legitimately competing with and hanging with these newer generation up and comers are Charles, islam, dariush, and Poirier. Sure, chandler has insane power and could on any night under the right circumstances shut anyones lights out, but I think fiziev beats him handedly, and finishes him, and same with both gamrot and tsaryukan and it’s the same with gaethje, because as heavy as his hands are and as nasty as his leg kicks, and traditionally he has great td defense, arman and gamrot at least are levels above him in grappling and I think fiziev would outstrike him as well. Poirier I could see beating fiziev, potentially, but I doubt he could beat gamrot and arman and obviously I think these guys also dominate everyone else in this. But it’s going to be hard for these big name main event fighters to accept fights with guys like that who aren’t big among casual fans, and who are reallly well rounded and dangerous matchups and unfortunately because of the lack of any massive hype or star power behind any of them, they are going to have to slowly creep their way up as the older generation fighters continue to clog the rankings and stay there despite multiple losses within this time. I mean gaethje isn’t taking that gamrot fight either, hands down. Fiziev has the rda fight so he’s creeping up but fiziev also has a very fan pleasing style as well so I can see them justifying a fight with someone like gaethje or Poirier or chandler or Tony if he beats rda.
He’s only 25 and this was his first 5 round fight. I personally had him 48-47 because in the third Gamrots takedowns didn’t lead to anything and the striking was lopsided in favor of Arman. Either way we’ll see him again and dude is completely legit. He’s great all around and if he can work on his endurance and boxing he’d look unstoppable.
Yeah, it’s hard to call any fight as close as this a robbery, but arman won. He handedly won the first 2. Narrowly lost the 3rd, and in the 4th, he was taken down and he did have his back taken for a minute but it didn’t lead to anything etc, but not only did he outstrike gamrot he scored a knockdown with a nice spinning back fist that landed flush and for whatever reason none of the commentators seemed to notice and weren’t sure if it was just an off balance thing despite it being a clear knockdown and them seeing it back on their screen. I can’t see how a takedown and control time at the fence trumps the overwhelming strike differential and also kd arman had. But at the end of the day, yeah, it does suck for arman, yeah, I do think it will be a controversial decision, he’s superrr young and both of these guys before this and definitely tonight have showcased their skills and these guys and I think fiziev as well are 100% going to all be too lw fighters and in contention for the title. Arman still has a little under a full decade until he hits his physical prime
@@TheDevil-wo9jc no he didn’t lol. The 2 or 3 times gamrot did get to his back in the clinch arman maintained full wrist control each and every second and this is why, each and every time gamrot did have his back and have him against the cage racking up control time, arman still got his way out. As the fight went longer, what was initially an almost dead even stalemate in the grappling exchanges became a slight advantage in those exchanges for gamrot and he did secure a few tds and a few times after arman always almost immediately got his way right back up, got to his back in the clinch position, no finish almost occurred because of that and absolutely zero damage was sustained whatsoever by arman. As far as the striking, arman clearly had the advantage overall where gamrot was finding the right cross but arman was cracking him with nasty kicks the entire fight. Arman also scored a knockdown in the 4th round, on top of landing well over 10 more significant strikes then gamrot in that round yet somehow the one td gamrot scored, with the minute or so control time somehow in the judges eyes gave him the round. I can’t see how in any world a td and a minute control time with no real damage being inflicted or threat trump a knockdown and such a big strike differential

The future is still bright for this young man.
Because we see through the bs and ufc propaganda, they were hyping this dude and the white polish superior race won, all is good in the world.

What a fighter. Damn
I really felt like he won the 4th, maybe even the 5h. This will not knock him down the ranks, the UFC knows what a monster Gamrot is and how well Arman performed against him. Maybe he'll get to the title even before Gamrot does.
He won the 4th not 5th. He knocked him down in the 4th round.
@@dammaguy1286 so what ? It was not proper knockdown. Gamrot experience showed how to survive that moment. What are you Arman boys crying about? What robbery? Arman won first 2 rounds. Gamrot won last 3 rounds. Simple. Before the fight you been saying that Arman is a better grappler/ wrestler. Well....it doesn't look like it does it?
@@michaelkrzak5414 what do you mean 'so what?' if the most impactful thing to happen in that round is Gamrot getting dropped then Arman wins that round
did you just say getting dropped doesn't win rounds?
@@michaelkrzak5414 how was it not a proper knockdown? Dudes chin got touched and he dropped.
@@not677 I mean it was one off strike. Arman could not follow up with strikes to finish him off because Gamrot defended well and gave himself those few precious seconds to recover. The only reason why Arman has more significant strikes is because he kicked more. It is not a kick the buddy competition. On the boxing level Gamrot landed as many. Obviously Gamrot is far better grappler and wrestler
Why is it so difficult to give a draw? The worst part about it was that unanimous decision, couldn’t believe it when I saw it wasn’t even split.
Maybe the judge was swayed by his fake glove touches/ cheap shots. I now I was hoping for some karma to head is way after he did that.
Not how judging works
@@oosmosmoo yeah that was filthy, I remember seeing that, was a bit surprised… but if you judge it as a fight, I don’t think either of them did enough to win… so when I see 3 judges giving a victory to Mattheus, that was a moment that of shock…
@@londonsfinest6070 I agree. Definitely could have been a draw.
It wasn’t arman’s fault cause he gave everything he had in the octagon. Negative
Arman clearly landed the more damaging shots and Gamrot did nothing with the Wrestling and Scoring System clearly says "Damage >> Control"
"More damaging shots" look at Arman face at the end. Gamrot was more accurate, and had more take downs.
According to the unified scoring system, striking and grappling are scored equally. Effective striking is not worth more than effective grappling and vice versa.
@@radoslaw123456789 your looking at the face, what of the body and the legs.
@@radoslaw123456789 you judge Damage by the immediate impact of the shots, not scar tissues and who bleeds more, some people have thinner skin.
and if the damage and its immediate impact is really close then they go to judging it by Accumulative damage through the fight, that's what the scoring system clearly says.

Arman got robbed!! Round 4 clearly went to him especially with a knockdown

Yeah, a knockdown and then 4 minutes of full control by Mateusz. A takedown, almost a kimura (escaped quickly so it didn't count obviously) and a choke attempt (I don't know how this one didn't count as an attempt honestly. However the judges saw that). A one backfist caught out of ballance is not enough to close a round. The 3rd was closer in my opinion and could've gone both ways.
Even Arman's coach said after the 4th 'it's 2:2. Keep it standing. No more wrestling'.
I have it to him, 1st, 2nd, and 4th round he dropped em with a spinning back fist in the fourth, guess the judges were not impressed. Great fight thank you.

This is the reason why guys like Adesanya chooses to throw jab leg kicks from the outside against wrestlers, one TD and you lose the round even if you got a knockdown and the striking advantage.

Great fight, but Arman won this for sure!
the judges gave Gamrot the round even though he got dropped in that round, I donno about you but I definitely call that a Robbery.
So remember the judge doesn't have instant replay or even the camera angles we have. Perhaps from cage side it looked like a slip. Tough loss for sure.

I thought that arman 100% won the fight...he was much nastier with the striking,,,there was some control time in the grappling from his opponent but with ZERO damage...ibhad arman clearly taking 3 rounds.
Zero damage? Don't think so. Arman's face after the fight tells you exactly how much damage been done
He hit arm or air alot of the times. Was throwing desperate takedowns and strikes. Throwing naked kicks. Gassed out. Got his back taken. Grabbing fence getting out wrestle.

Someone Explain How Gamrot Won ? I’ll wait
You cannot win a fight just by kicking. Gamrot had maaaaaany great right hands that dealt damage to Arman + great wrestling attempts.
@@fJ3K01Sp Arman clearly won the 4th round though. Effective striking and grappling is weighed heaviest. Effective meaning any legal strikes or grappling techniques that have potential to end a fight. Arman’s knockdown would be weighed heavier than anything Gamrot did in that round, since Gamrot was not close to a finish
Both are elite level fighters.
The judges got it wrong. Arman clearly got rounds 1, 2 and 4. Apparently they did not see him knocking down Mateusz. This is called robbery.
This LW division is sooooo stacked. Never seen a division that is sooooo good!

Just hate the inconsistency with judging.
You did great man, you shouldnt be ashamed for your performance . You still young. Please next time dont leave it to the judges.
Arman didn't just leave it to the judges you casual. He simply lacks stamina and experience to finish fighters like Gamrot . Gamrot is as good as anybody in this division
He shiuld be ashamed for faking a glove touch and kicking his body. Trashy move. The next round he did it again but with a jab.
