Khabib was just too dominant man… Islam is truly a MMA elite he can do it all not to say khabib couldn’t do it but he preferred not to test other areas more than needed
Islam had staph infection and was gassed from 3rd round + Dustin had 5 years after Khabib fight to train and improve his wrestling and grappling. It is not a fair comparison between Khabib and Islam. This version of Dustin was much better prepared against their style

@@zboub7025 Islam was taking a lot of deep breathes at the start of the 3rd round in his corner. He was gassed in 3rd which is why he was outpowered by Poirier and was reversed against the cage, his takedown speed became 2 times slower, his punches were lazier. Islam just endured by his grit and pushed himself to the limit. His cardio definitely was bad in this fight

I mean, maybe the explosiveness, but islam has better jiu-jitsu, the distance between the wrestling is not that far, but the striking is not even close, dustin looks like if he fought against a guy know for his striking, khabib is a goat, but the things islam is doing, when he finish his fighting carrer we are gonna have a lot of conversations about this guy, volkanovski deserves more credit for the first fight
Islam grappling is BETTER, khabib is way Stronger and uses his weight so that is why he looks so dominant. But as a fighter Islam is better and well-rounded, his grappling is technical and strategic. In striking match ? ? i dare say Islam by ko in round one.

I noticed that the Dagestan fighter always avoid eye contact when speaking with female interviewers.
Muslim men we are not allowed to look at non mahrem women (mahrem women means close ones : your wife your your daughter sister mum ...) except if u think about marrying her you have a meeting with her plus one of her close relatives you look at her speak with her to know each others and both Can then decide wether or Not to accept the marriage yes women also Can refuse there is no forced marriage (hadith in Bukhari )

I really want to see Makachev at 170. I feel like 155 is a really tough cut for him which is why some of his fights are closer than it should be. I want to see if at 170 he's more dominant since he isn't drained.
There are always fan favorites but MMA skills he's one of the best. Dude is humble and sticks to perfecting his craft and his fights show it. Hats off to Islam and Dustin for a great fight.
