A film now from the collection of a now departed friend. Having seen my videos taken since 1985 he was inspired to go out and buy his own video camera and get filming. I have been digitising them and converting the Video8 tapes to MP4. This upload shows Leyland Titan's+Olympian, Metrobus, Routemasters, Scania's, Volvo, Dennis Trident+Dart at Liverpool Street Station in December 1998. Routes seen are 8, 11, 23, 43, 47, 48, 133, 149, 172, 214 & 242 operated by Arriva, London Central, London General, Metroline & Stagecoach. If you liked the video please subscribe to my channel, there are lots more transport & quirky vids to upload!

No mistaking that brake howl for anything but a Scania @3:50.
I rode one briefly in central London and drove single decker versions back home. Phenomenally powerful buses.

1:53 That cab design was brand new back then and now it's old.

Double decker buses in London have always changed every year and decade. And still serve London on a daily basis.

This is the closest I've ever felt to time travel.
