Cisco Pike is an early 70s crime curio with Kris Kristofferson, Gene Hackman, Karen Black and Harry Dean Stanton. The used prices for it on Amazon.ca are crazy, mostly over $200. I was gifted my copy by a stranger of all things.
Not sure if anyone has commented with this, but the Disney Treasures weren't Disney Store exclusives. Most stores carried them upon release, with shops like Costco getting multi-title box sets of them sans tins around the holidays.
Porno Holocaust and Erotic Nights of the Living Dead, yes! Weren't both these movies shot by the same crew at the same location to save costs? I'm pretty sure. Great collection!
Also, out of print isn't hard to explain like Shawn said it was. It simply means that the movie (or book, or album, etc.) is no longer being pressed and all of the previously produced copies are sold. Stuff can go out of print for many reasons. Usually it has to do with the rights. A distributor will purchase the rights to print/sell a show on DVD for X many years. When those years are up, that distributor can choose whether or not to renew their rights. If they don't view that price as worth it to them (like they won't make enough off the DVDs to be profitable) then they won't renew them, and thus, the show is out of print. Companies can also cancel/sell their rights early if they've decided a particular title isn't worth their effort, or sometimes stuff has been pulled for some legal reason within the work.
12:11 have exact one, to me its like 4rth original starwars movie, its like a spinoff of 2 sequels of original starwars movies and it has same world quality with stop motion and atmosphere , i remember i loved it same as starwars but in starwars 6 i saw them crossing each other and it was mind bending for a child :)
One film you probably don't have, and that's "Sidekicks" with Chuck Norris. It was not released in USA, only in Canada, but is region 1, it's probably one of the hardest to find anywhere online or in store!
The Hard Rock Zombies DVD is ok, but they changed some of the music in a bad way, so I'd hold onto the Vestron Video VHS release (if you've got it). The Fright Night Blu-ray 2nd pressing is actually better than the first because it has interviews. I stay away from Twilight Time due to the synthetic premium, which then gets re-pressed or gets a general release (like they did with Christine).
I have Ernest Rides Again, EvilSpeak, Midnite Movies Monster & creatures Volume one set, Midnite movies Vampires & witchcraft Volume Two set, and Roswell the U.F.O. Cover-Up staring Kyle Maclachilan. These are out of print rare ones I have.
Keanoshow, Begotten, Possession 1981, and The Third Man - Criterion Collection Blu-Ray (which is a great get if you can find it). I've also seen the original Akira blu-ray printing as well as Sleuth (the original) on DVD fluctuate in price.
"KENNY & CO" was filmed in my home town of long beach Ca ... I saw it once on tv when I was like 8 i never saw it anywhere again ... I saw some DVD copies on eBay for like over $200 , I really world like to see this film again , if you wanna burn me a copy I will pay u .
WoW you have a HUGE collection of DVDs. I have Dawn of the Dead (Ultimate Edition), Dawn of the Dead Blu Ray & The House On The Edge of The Park. I also have the soundtrack to The House On The Edge Of The Park on CD which I purchased for $40 which I found out is extremely RARE & Hard To Find.
Wow, I'm glad I stumbled on this video! I have a copy of Unsolved Mysteries Psychics that my mom won in a contest years ago. Amazing collection! A lot of newer movies or re-releases come with digital copies or ultraviolet codes, do you redeem those?
Interestingly enough, the TV series Spin City just recently went out of print from Shout Factory. Seasons 1 and 5 are still easy to get, and 2 is drifting in and out of availability, but seasons 3, 4, and 6 have gone for some insane amounts on eBay and Amazon recently. So if you've got that show or you are wanting it, hold onto it or start hunting now!
I really like Phantom of the Mall. I have both that one and Popcorn on VHS. I found Dead Pit on VHS at a flea market a few years back, but it doesn't work. I kept it just for the case though.
Hell yeah. I just got a copy of "Body Double" on blu-ray myself. Not cheap but totally worth the money. I just wish they've put out an edition with TONS of bonus feature. Such an interesting movie.
Oddly, Most Jill Clayburgh movies are ultra rare and expensive. She was a good actress back in the 70's that didn't make too many movies, But ones like An Unmarried Woman, I'm Dancing As Fast As I Can, Luna, and maybe even Silver Streak now? If you see anything with her in it cheap - BUY IT!
Do It Again with Bill Cosby is a pretty rare oop DVD, goes for around $50+ Dr. Jekyll and Sister Hyde is another rare oop DVD, at $70+ The late, great Alan Rickman in Truly Madly Deeply is hard to find in the US as it is here in the UK and now goes for well over $100+.. Hope you find Freeway 2 someday Shawn :)
Superstition, Sole Survivor, Alone in the Dark (Pleasance) , Body Parts, One Dark Night, Silent Scream, deadly spawn blu, House on Sorrority Row, Fright Night, Trilogy of Terror
I got a copy of rere-animated autographed by Wesley alley and Brian chenworth. Any idea on how to figure out what the value is? Couldn’t find it on eBay.
I own the Dr Otto DVD as well. I'm surprised you didn't mention the Ernest Rides Again one because that one is rare too. I even own that as well. By the way, the Jim Varney "Boogie" character was actually in the Hey Vern it's my Family Album special, not in Dr. Otto.
Sorority house massacre (bluray), The gate II (dvd), Midnight hour (dvd). They all sell for a fair bit on Ebay, especially The gate II and Midnight hour. Update; House on sorority row (bluray), Alligator (dvd-1980), Alligator 1/2 double pack (dvd).
Prices may fluctuate but once a DVD goes OOP, that particular edition is permanently OOP. For true completists each edition of a film is intrinsically valuable.
I have the blob remake twilight time release on blu ray too. I paid 19.99 for it used on ebay. Is that a bad price? I also bought the dawn of the dead original anchor bay blu ray when it was a new release. I want that ultimate edition dawn of the dead dvd.
I know this videos older but I re-watched to write down some movies to look out for. If you have new OOP stuff it'd be cool to see an updated video. But I found the killer inside me it's worth $30 but I bought it for $12 I'm pretty happy to own it. Great movie if you haven't seen it.
The opening of Tales From The Darkside had the same effect on me. Unsolved Mysteries (the original Robert Stack version) creeped me out somewhat mostly because of the way Robert Stack seemed like he was playing some kind of sinister movie character while he was narrating and also during his video segments.
Popcorn was incredibly easy to get a hold of in the UK, some cheap distributor made tons of copies and it sold for about a £1. I even remember it being included free in cheap ladies magazines.
I picked up the dawn of the dead box set at my local candy store in queens NY. They get shipments every month of dvds and blu-rays from a warehouse and all dvds are 6.99. The box set had a bunch of different versions of movie( i think 5 or 6). For 6.99 couldnt go wrong. I should have bought them all
I've got a few in there like popcorn and dead alive. Recently I picked up "high spirits" and a couple months back "Gutterballs". I was wondering if you have those? I seen u have murder set pieces I heard that's a hard one to find also. Enjoy the vids man
I'd love to see Link. I'm a big Elisabeth Shue fan & that's one of hers I've tried to track down so I can see but there's nowhere to see it not even online.
I collecr video games and always see dvds at the thrift shops and yard sales i go to i might have to start grabbing some of these out of print titles if i come across them!
one of the best I like that's rare is nightmares with Emilio estevez and gargoyles from the 70s and race with devil with Peter Fonda, food of the gods from 70s , night of terror from 70s , the hearse , and one movie about a interstate killer who plays classical music and kills on the freeway in a van
A movie to keep an eye out for: Space Truckers starring Dennis Hopper. It's a super-cheezy Sci-Fi movie filmed in Ireland. Used copies on Amazon are already over $30 with new copies going for over $60. It is not worth that much, trust me, but is one of those movies that never got much love from the distributors. I believe my rarest would be Count Duckula Season 1 on DVD, it goes between $60-$120, followed by the Blu-Ray release of Willow starring Val Kilmer which is going for over $50. Apparently the sale of Lucasfilm to Disney caused it to go OOP.
Arrow's Society release is amazing and a little special for me as I was attending the Q&A with Brian Yuzna (on the special features) when they screened it on print at at Celluloid Screams in 2014. I have the older Anchor Bay release, too.
i just watched Hard Rock Zombies for the first time! I kinda randomly stumbled upon it. Their robot dancing when they become zombies is the best part...
I have a question! i have the dragon ball z kai DVDs with the kenji yamamoto score before it was replaced for plagiarism. do you think that's gonna be worth anything in the future?
Popcorn is getting a release by Synapse. Synapse takes loads of time to put out a flick. They take their time to remaster it and the wait is definitely worth it.
They made Curtains look amazing, almost like a new movie. Prom Night looked amazing. Demons and Demons 2 are amazing looking. Synapse will deliver, for sure.
HorrorNinja847 Haven't picked up their releases of Curtains or Prom Night but their Demons and Demons 2 releases are incredible. Unlike Twilight Time they also release a reasonable number to satisfy demand.
Amazing collection! And your hopes of a Tales from the Hood Blu-Ray by Scream Factory will be happening in 2017! It was announced on Halloween along with some more titles they will release next year. The others announced were DEADTIME STORIES (1986), FIRESTARTER (1984), DEMENTED (1980), WHAT’S THE MATTER WITH HELEN? I noticed you have Ernest Rides Again and that's another valuable one. The movie itself has been re-released on a couple Ernest multi-feature DVDs but the original DVD is still worth a bit.
I also have The Adventures of Pete and Pete season 1, drake and Josh Suddenly Brothers DVD, No One Would Tell staring Fred Savage, Disney's Under Wraps, Damn Yankees, It takes Two by the Olsen Twins, Little Giants the football movie and the movie KIDS. These are Out of Print I have also.
Some oop titles are Max Dugan Returns, Turk 182, Road Games, The House On Sorority Row (blu ray & dvd), Let It Ride, Phantasm 1,3 & 4, Rawhead Rex, The Midnight Hour, The Vincent Price Collection vol 1 (blu ray set from Scream Factory), The Sword & The Sorcerer, The Resurrected, Sleepaway Camp set (Anchor Bay with the red cross- 1st release), Evil Dead 1 & 2 (Book of the Dead editions), One Dark Night, Crimes Of Passion. Those are a few of the ones i have i know are oop.
Hey Shawn.Hard Eight on DVD directed by Paul Thomas Anderson starring John C. Reiley and Samuel Jackson is a good out of print movie. Not sure if you have it,but I found a copy at FYE for like $8.It goes for $110+ new and like $25+ used on amazon.
hey chauncy i like watching your videos. also there are a couple of other dvds you might want to look for. the rowan and martin laugh in. some go for 40 dollars or more depending which one you get. also the star wars ewoks battle for endor and caravan of courage two movies one dvd. i know this goes for 35 dollars and up. also there is a movie by chuck norris called sidekicks made in the early nineties. for some reason it was only released to canada only. it is a region one but never released here in the states. there is another dvd called the andromeda slipstream collection. this tv show is from gene roddenberry. that collection goes for quite a bit if you can get it for the right price.i know there are others and if i know the titles i will let you know. keep up the good work that you do
Shawn, I thought you did not have Poltergeist 13:45 remember from your old videos you said they were suppose to be cursed. Just thought I would take you back. Awesome Films!
I found kickboxer 5 redemption to be very high in price. Was going for £119 on amazon but Eventually got it from Australia for £26. Only problem is its an ex rental so has stickers on thr cover.
coolduder I Can't Remember What Video It Is, But I Remember You Showing Us A Movie Called Disturbing Behavior & You Were Saying How You Hoped They Would Come Out With A Blu-Ray Copy, Well They Do On Amazon.. Just Thought I'd Let You Know! Love Your Videos! Also I Was Wondering Do You Have The Movie Little Girl Who Lives Down The Lane Starring Jodie Foster I Was Just Curious Cause I Believe That Movie Is Out Of Print As Well!!
+Eric Betteridge it's like the stock market. He could sell now because it might drop but instead it rises to 3x the price and now you regret it. He said he got them cheap ish so even if they drop he's not loosing much.
@@ericbetteridge5282 it isn't about how much they are worth dollar wise. It's about owning it. People like shaun is a collector. Collectors and flippers are two different kind of movie buyers
I just picked up the Unsolved Mysteries Ghosts at an estate sale today. I remembered you saying they were hard to come by so I snagged it up. Not sure how much it's worth
Wow; my mind is blown! I have that Ewoks DVD and I never would have imagined it to be that much in price. I brought it back when it was released, sadly opened it but still; just goes to show that you never know what you'll get when you buy stuff.
+coolduder It's unbelievable. I've had my copy away in a bin and I had to get it out to make sure that was it. I can't believe how sturdy cases use to be back then compared to today. Great video and always look forward to your videos!
Hi Swawn, great video, thanks. SING is a good one to find. Totally cheesy dance movie from the 80s. And im always looking for Little Giants on DVD to flip. "MY MOM MADE ME THAT"!
[Turns on nitrous oxide and takes hit]
[Pushes record button on camera]
[Exhales]
"Hey guys"
DJSiQRiQ lol 😂
KEK
Unsolved Mysteries was such a good show! It used to creep me out, too. Something about the music and Robert Stacks austere tone.
+Rod Johnson Ya it really is such a creepy show.
go travel to DC into your car

And now, Scream Factory is doing a Blu-Ray of "Tales From The Hood".
Woah watching this video and caught the Bad Ronald reference while talking about Crawlspace. Never have seen that one. Sounds like a good one.
I've looked for black christmas everywhere! didn't realize it was out of print

Totally jealous of your Body Double blu-ray! One of my fav's too.
+Marcell Fraser Ya its such a great movie. Have watched it so many time.

+Dominic rocco Great find.
yeah use to find alot of great 6.99 titles at that store and it was just random. Sometimes they would get 5 copies of same movie
Both unsolved mysteries and the outer limits intros always creeped me out
I saw meatballs II! Where did you get it? Do you have the 3rd?
I've got a few in there like popcorn and dead alive. Recently I picked up "high spirits" and a couple months back "Gutterballs". I was wondering if you have those? I seen u have murder set pieces I heard that's a hard one to find also. Enjoy the vids man

Arrow's Society release is amazing and a little special for me as I was attending the Q&A with Brian Yuzna (on the special features) when they screened it on print at at Celluloid Screams in 2014. I have the older Anchor Bay release, too.
+Liam8VIII I agree its such a great release
i just watched Hard Rock Zombies for the first time!
+HorrorNinja847 This is great news. Have been waiting a long time on that one.
It's going to take a while...but once it's released? It will look fantastic.
HorrorNinja847
I don't mind waiting, especially if the quality is to their usual high standard.
They made Curtains look amazing, almost like a new movie. Prom Night looked amazing. Demons and Demons 2 are amazing looking. Synapse will deliver, for sure.
HorrorNinja847
Haven't picked up their releases of Curtains or Prom Night but their Demons and Demons 2 releases are incredible. Unlike Twilight Time they also release a reasonable number to satisfy demand.
Amazing collection! And your hopes of a Tales from the Hood Blu-Ray by Scream Factory will be happening in 2017! It was announced on Halloween along with some more titles they will release next year. what would you said your collection cost you?
won, dering about western like spaghetti western . thanks cooldude
I noticed you have Ernest Rides Again and that's another valuable one. The movie itself has been re-released on a couple Ernest multi-feature DVDs but the original DVD is still worth a bit.
do u have martin on dvd or nekromantic 2 ? found em each for a dollar
Is Crawl space available anywhere? I cannot find that one
If you can't find a dvd in your neighborhood who ya gonna call coolduder!
Now Alex Mack series is for sale at Wal-Mart for like $15
I also have The Adventures of Pete and Pete season 1, drake and Josh Suddenly Brothers DVD, No One Would Tell staring Fred Savage, Disney's Under Wraps, Damn Yankees, It takes Two by the Olsen Twins, Little Giants the football movie and the movie KIDS. These are Out of Print I have also.

That Black Christmas blu ray is currently $9.99 at the Canadian Amazon(many in stock).
hey chauncy i like watching your videos. also there are a couple of other dvds you might want to look for. the rowan and martin laugh in. some go for 40 dollars or more depending which one you get. also the star wars ewoks battle for endor and caravan of courage two movies one dvd. i know this goes for 35 dollars and up. also there is a movie by chuck norris called sidekicks made in the early nineties. for some reason it was only released to canada only. it is a region one but never released here in the states. there is another dvd called the andromeda slipstream collection. this tv show is from gene roddenberry. that collection goes for quite a bit if you can get it for the right price.i know there are others and if i know the titles i will let you know. keep up the good work that you do
Shawn, I thought you did not have Poltergeist 13:45 remember from your old videos you said they were suppose to be cursed. Just thought I would take you back. Awesome Films!
I found kickboxer 5 redemption to be very high in price. Was going for £119 on amazon but Eventually got it from Australia for £26. Only problem is its an ex rental so has stickers on thr cover.

Mr.Ice Cream man is a timeless classic imo. I would kill to see a blueray version of this film. Wish Jim Mills/Mack Hail directed more together.
+Uncle Corky Lol totally is. Hope it does get a Bd someday.
Little witches(non animated) and split second are two hard to find disc.
I'm not sure how valuable it is, I but I believe the Friday the 13th Collection is now OOP.
Holy crap, sure enough. Just like you said Shawn, you never know what might go out of print.
Acoup37 it’s like 300$ plus in multiple websites since it is very OOP
Just seen used ones on Amazon without the tin for $225.
Best thing on youtube, “hey everyone Shawn C. Phillips here.”
if the value fluctuates and can possibly drop to next to nothing why not sell them and buy things you like
+Eric Betteridge Like i said Im happy to have these titles. Maybe if i had doubles or something.
***** i def understand keeping ones that are valuable i would just e afraid it would drop and be worthless
+Eric Betteridge it's like the stock market. He could sell now because it might drop but instead it rises to 3x the price and now you regret it. He said he got them cheap ish so even if they drop he's not loosing much.
emarin2006ftw that's a good way to think of it when you put it that way it makes sense
It may be mostly horror titles, but tell me, how's it feel to have a BlockBuster video in your house?
Lol I love cartoons. I couldn't have that stuff in my home ughhh
Fritz the Cat and The Nine Lives of Fritz the Cat have been outta print for years. Apparently, they're kinda rare now.
Hey Chauncey you are awesome man! Approximatively how many movies/tv shows do you think you own? Like 1000?
+Padd Boucher (Urbanlistener) I know somewhere over 3k
+coolduder Holy shit man!! I feel ashamed with my 200 hahah...
Idk if its already been said in the comments but Popcorn, Tales From The Hood 1 & 2, and Wild At Heart have been rereleased on bluray
Wow; my mind is blown! I have that Ewoks DVD and I never would have imagined it to be that much in price. I brought it back when it was released, sadly opened it but still; just goes to show that you never know what you'll get when you buy stuff.
+wrestlingbuff87 Its so true how things you never would think end up being worth the most.
+coolduder It's unbelievable. I've had my copy away in a bin and I had to get it out to make sure that was it. I can't believe how sturdy cases use to be back then compared to today. Great video and always look forward to your videos!
Still looking for weekend warriors aka hollywood airforce
Wonder if Dead Alive will ever come back in print
"dead man on campus" is very hard to find. i only have it on dvd and i think it only every released on a region 1. Is it even on Bluray?
My aunt bought me the zorro set at first didn't think much of it but started collecting more and found out the new price five years later
+Movie Maniac Ya that set is the most pricy of all the disney tins.

Interesting. Thanks and subscribed.

You need Inland Empire. I can’t find that one anywhere (for a reasonable price, anyway)
I can't wait to get the blurry version

Hi Swawn, great video, thanks. SING is a good one to find. Totally cheesy dance movie from the 80s. And im always looking for Little Giants on DVD to flip. "MY MOM MADE ME THAT"!

Do you have splatter farm?
What are you talking about? Shout Factory *did* a Blu Ray release of Tales from the Hood. And Popcorn does have a Blu Ray version as well.
