Yo Shawn is the Man!!! He’s inspired me to create my own RUclips channel! Talking about movies and different releases, he does it so well! He’s inspired me to get going too!
Body Double sounds exactly like Rear Window Also I’m shocked how many of these are out of print! I have several of them and never realized they were out of print!
Your collection is awesome!! I used to be just like you! I owned hundreds of films on vhs, then dvds and Blu-ray. One day (when I could barely move in my room) I suddenly started selling them off. Now I just own my favourite films and tv shows. But recently I've started collecting old ones from my childhood (Critters, Monster Squad, etc. I love Near Dark!!) and for some reason I'm collecting the top 10 worst films I've ever seen! (Already have Nick of Time, Mannequin and The Room - really need to get Darkman….) …..Anyway. Keep up the good work.
Hay Shawn, I love your enthusiasm when you talk about movies. It's like a blast of positive energy for all of us 'movie buffs' like myself. You should get together with Tarantino and discuss your collections. I used to own so many DVDs, but I sold them when I 'uprgraded' the important ones to Blu-ray copies and what do you know, some of them are now 'out-of-print' and valuable! I love when you said that you don't sell any of yours. This is the wisest thing. Try and hold on to everything, because it's just not worth getting rid of stuff. So many original movies I had on VHS that I took to 'Dog Shelters' or 'Charity Shops' that are now impossible to find. I learned my lesson. Just need to find a way to store stuff more effectively!
Pretty cool stuff. I actually bought that particular edition of the original "Stepford Wives" from my local "Big Lots" once upon a time. I still have that one. Such a fascinating movie.
I luv these rare and OOP bluray videos becuase I like hunting for them online and in the wild for cheap. The ones I don't know about are new targets to hunt down.
Great Video Coolduder! Love the way you keep your movies all organized wish I had my collection of Blu-rays and DVDs all organized. It’s crazy how much DEAD ALIVE is selling on eBay, not going to lie but I actually paid $89.99 for a used copy of Dead Alive and I also have The Friday The 13th Tin Collection glad I bought that one when it came out in 2013! The price is super High on eBay I’ve seen it go anywhere From $300-$899.99 And I also Have The Halloween Collection which comes with all the Special Features That Collection is out of print too.
That was Great I am In the UK so I am picking up DVD's for next to nothing. Nobody Bothers with them. Charities (Thrift Stores) have stopped taking them In as they can't get rid of them. I like Hearing about Films I watched Years ago and Forgot about. Thanks for the Heads up I have Downloaded Most of the ones You have Mentioned and a Few that I saw on the Shelves along the way. You still have a Fair way to even come close to My Collection. But Keep collecting. The ones You should look out for are "Jurassic Park, Robocop, Superman," In the Steel Box's These were Pulled as soon as they Became Available. I had a Leaflet In a DVD I bought from the US, And these were Included. So I ordered them only to find they had been Withdrawn. They Featured Never Before Seen Footage Put back In the Film. The Shooting Scene In Robocop Is 15 Minutes In the steel box Film. But In All the Prints out there It Is only about 5. The Only one to get a Official release In the same Format as the steel Box. Was Superman renamed the Richard Donner Cut. They were Withdrawn because they didn't have the Permission to use the extra footage. Shame.
Cool collection! My fave two that I own are House/House 2 ...came as a set in one DVD box and The Sword And The Sorcerer with Lee Horsley... both original releases. Thanks for sharing!
Awesome video coolduder. I've been trying to get Crawlspace at a decent price for years. A few times it's shown up on ebay but I always seem to miss out on it. About 10 years ago I had a chance to buy a bunch of copies of Clownhouse for real cheap....but I passed on them. Wish I could go back in time. lol!
It was on ebay not long after they cancelled the release of it. He was going to sell me 50 copies for 300 dollars postage paid. Like a fool, I just bought one!
Really nice collection, one movie im having a hard time getting my hands on is "Fire in the sky" one of my favorite movies scared the shit out of me when i was a kid
You have such a great collection Shawn! You missed Fritz the Cat, Modern Problems and Walk Like a Man (though there's a MOD version available of that one). Probably a bunch more, I'd have to watch the video again. Also, I had no idea Mean Girls was OOP!
Yes, I only named the ones I saw you had but there are over a thousand OOP DVDs. Stuff like Little Witches, Meet the Deedles, Million Dollar Mystery, 9 Songs, 29th Street, 101 Dalmatians (with Glenn Close), Cisco Pike, Not Without my Daughter, Oh Heavenly Dog, Spanking the Monkey, Take This Job and Shove it, Prayer of the Rollerboys, Raw Justice, Shark Attack 3 and tons more.. You probably have some of these.
Awesome video, Shawn! I actually had several OOP titles in my collection as well such as "Dogma", "Near Dark", "My Neighbor Totoro" (2002 Fox DVD Release with the 1993 English Dubbed) and even "The Greatest American Hero". These titles are so hard to come by!
LOOOVE your collection man! I actually own a Bizarre Murders Set from Unsolved Mysteries. The collection was also available on some specialized DVD stores I got mine at HMV Canada and actually bought a couple of them before someone else picked them up, highly recommend getting it if you still can't find it. Cheers!
In Canada, The Walt Disney Treasures I first came across were in Toys R Us. I believe the first Mickey edition came out 1997...? But at the time it was $30, and I was going to treat myself. But was Christmas shopping for others, and didn't splurge. Within a year or two they were like $200! The original Stepford Wives I got dirt cheap, and still holds up. Surprised it's not in wider release? The other one that floors me is Jill Clayburgh movies like Silver Streak, and An Unmarried Woman et al. Very hard to get and/or OOP. Academy nominated actors should be better respected with releases IMHO. Good show though my man, good things to keep an eye out for! :)
Man their's so many dvd's/blu-rays in your collection... it makes think of all the ones I want in my collection, but I can't find them in stores anywhere as I go to FYE and Walmart. So I guess I have to visit Amazon.
Really liked your video Shawn :)! I have several of those Walt Disney Treasures tins. I have the Zorro ones you were talking about and all the Donald Duck and Pluto cartoon sets, and some others. Unfortunately I didn’t get all the ones I wanted and missed out on some of them that are pretty expensive now :(. The Scarecrow Of Romney Marsh is the most expensive of all them cause the print number was so low. I wish I had gotten that one :(. I also have some Jim Henson stuff that I think is out of print. Like The Christmas Toy and The Storyteller series. I loved Are You Afraid of the Dark as a kid and Eerie Indiana! I wish I had bought Eerie Indiana when it was still in print. But I keep hunting for it for good price, so maybe I’ll find one someday :).
coolduder I remember watching The Scarecrow of Romney Marsh on the Disney channel years ago when they used to show old Disney tv shows and cartoons late at night. It’s sad they don’t do that anymore. My favorite was always Zorro :). It’s a pretty show if you ever get the chance to see it, I hope you have luck finding it :)!
The Prince Of Pennsylvania is a bona fide cult classic!Polka Music&Keanu Reeves tooling around Wexford PA,the apple orchards north of Pittsburgh, just screened it on watch32-decent print:)
Alot of those that are out of print I've never even heard of,the most expensive out of print movie I got was the mighty Joe young movie at 25 pounds ,I loved that movie as a kid, often when I can't get a blu ray in the u.k I will find them on other websites around the EU or Australia,I want American haunting though which is out of print,it's extremely rare too.
The Adventures of Pete & Pete has always been a tough DVD to find. Another one is Drop Dead Fred because it seems like all of the DVD and blu-ray releases have been only in England.
Some movie's that are very rare and out of print are Troll 2 (VHS) with the original Pizza Hut sticker! Genesis Children which was controversial at time of release! National Lampoon's Vacation (1980)! And The Twilight Zone movie! I heard there's a unedited version of this one out there but that might be a rumor!
Love your channel Shawn it always makes me feel good watching your videos. A couple more out of print Blu-ray titles that I can think of are "Apt Pupil" (Image Entertainment) sells for ridiculous price over $140.00 very hard to find. Also "Lucas" (Starz/Anchor Bay) another pricey one. Keep up the great work.
I have this movie but it has a different cover. Omega re-released it as part of the Niko Mastorakis Collection. I have collected several of these titles and they're all out of print: In the Cold of the Night, Island of Death, The Wind, Darkroom, Blind Date, etc.....
I know its in 4 movie set from Lions Gate from a number of years back. I also feel like maybe 10 years ago their was a stand alone dvd but im not 100 percent sure
Thank you guys for responding..I have seen the 8 pack on amazon but they do not have anymore. I have never seen the 4 pack. And they only sell the UK version by itself..They have the first two and 4 but not 3...It's a rare one for sure.
Remember watching Trilogy of Terror when it was originally broadcast. Scarey back then. Scared the crap out of my brother. When the movie was done, he went to the bathroom. I stuck a knife under the door and started "ree ree ree". Ah, fun times.
i am in awe of your collection Shawn you are a true lover of motion pictures in all of it's many forms, by the way i noticed BODY MELT on your shelf i have been flirting with buying that for a while i can only find it for sale in Australia so i would love to hear your verdict on it compared to Street Trash ? thanks for sharing your collection with us Shawn it's a pleasure and inspiring to watch
thanks for the info shawn i might hold out for the vinegar syndrome one if it's not region A locked ? i have watched this video of yours 3 times so far and will watch it many more times :D cheers from the UK Shawn
Great video! FYI, the children of the corn and hellraiser 4 film packs were re-released by Lionsgate almost soon after Echo Bridge lost the distribution rights to the Miramax catalog. The only Hellraiser film that is still worth a boatload of cash on Blu-ray is Hellraiser Deader.
coolduder Yeah, it was a Best Buy exclusive for about a year. It was only widely released for a few months before Echo Bridge lost the Miramax license.
Awesome Video Shawn!! Lot of cool out of print movies I can’t there’s so many movies that are out of print now. And there’s a lot of more movies I need to get and still a lot of stuff that hasn’t even gone to blu-ray yet. Like Phantom Of The Mall Or Grandmothers House. Those I think should get a blu-ray release great movies!! Anyways how are you doing? It’s been since we talked hope all is well! Keep up the great work and Amazing Videos and hope to see you soon in the near future! Talk to you soon! 👍🏻😀 -Kyle Rappaport
I'm looking for the whole mini series about 5 hours long of BONANNO A GODFATHER'S STORY. It was released as a very limited edition on dvd about 20 years ago. It starred Martin Landau and Robert Loggia..
Man...one of the craziest purchases I ever made ..n I might have mentioned this before on your channel was buying the dvd box set of Subspeices for 50 bucks lol..I hope someday I can get that in return 10 fold..I liked it a lot more as a kid than I do as an adult haha..great video though keep up the good work..only thing I wish u would do is throw out the prices of worth on these
Actually I got near dark the horror movie too on blu ray, that's extremely hard to get at 30 pounds and I paid a similar price for the 13th warrior from Germany.
Ok, only at the D's - Dolly Dearest which I was going to bring up so good one there - but you missed "Cabin By The Lake" in the "C"s! Cheesy but fun B movie with Judd Nelson, and the DVD is OOP and usually sells for around $50 - if you don't have it, get it! Oh, and dang it - properly alphabetize that collection, my OCD is going crazy watching this!!!
My all time favorite George A. Romaro films is Martin. I used to have it on DVD and my wife sold it. To my dismay it is out of print and I haven't been able to find an affordable copy
I used to watch Are You Afraid of the Dark and the Weird Science TV show on the same night. Weird Science TV only put out one release. I really hated when IMDb took off their message boards, because you could ask people about OOP releases, etc. One show I really want is a Nickelodeon puppet show called Mr Meaty. Also wish there would be a release of Salute Your Shorts.
Little Monsters has a weird release history. Those used to be at Hasting's. Full Screen only. I bought it and then within a year or two they re-released it with new artwork. I also saw it in a multi-pack at Sam's with Mac & Me, but they had changed the rating of LM to PG-13. It's a pretty weird movie and I would like to see some features about how it was made. A Fred Savage box set of LM, The Wizard and Vice Versa would be good.
Crazy the level of knowledge you have about movies, really impressive. Love the effort you put into these videos!
Thanks so much for the support and checking out my video
I really am impressed by your knowledge on horror movies and out of prints.
Thanks Shawn for this there's not too many RUclipsrs who would put effort into this like you did. I appreciate this buddy thanks man.
Thanks really love doing these videos to help people out who dont know about stuff being rare or worth picking up
thanks to Shawn i knew about the out of print Sleepaway Camp collection.. got it on ebay ;)
Yo Shawn is the Man!!! He’s inspired me to create my own RUclips channel! Talking about movies and different releases, he does it so well! He’s inspired me to get going too!
Will totally check out your stuff look forward to seeing your videos
Body Double sounds exactly like Rear Window
Also I’m shocked how many of these are out of print! I have several of them and never realized they were out of print!
It has a similar vibe mixed with a Giallo film as well
You can buy Body Double on Amazon.co.uk, it's the best release of it and it's region-free
@@coolduder hi Shawn, have you seen De Palma's Dressed to Kill? It's got a similar vibe to Body Double
Awesome George A. Romero collection. I'm always keeping my eyes peeled for Clownhouse and Dead Alive. And that one with Tiny Tim sounds pretty cool!
Thanks. Ya I always look to see if I ever see copies of them in the wild as well. I see Dead Alive every so often on Dvd but never the blu-ray
Your collection is awesome!!
I used to be just like you! I owned hundreds of films on vhs, then dvds and Blu-ray. One day (when I could barely move in my room) I suddenly started selling them off. Now I just own my favourite films and tv shows. …..Anyway. Keep up the good work.
Darkman is great! Darkman II on the other hand - that's a stinker :)
I love when you show your movie shelves!! WOW!! 😎
Thanks, Might do a new complete horror collection video again soon.
Cool rare/out of print dvds/blu ray video Shawn
Hey Angel Wayne
Thanks so much for checking out my new Out of Print Video
Videos like this inspired me to collect rare dvds and has stuck with me since. Thank you!
Hay Shawn, I love your enthusiasm when you talk about movies. It's like a blast of positive energy for all of us 'movie buffs' like myself. Ya so many of the early echo brige blu rays are now really rare
Sweet! I have several of the ones you showed! 😀👍
Hi Monica !!
Awesome and thanks for checking out the new video
Pretty cool stuff. I actually bought that particular edition of the original "Stepford Wives" from my local "Big Lots" once upon a time. I still have that one. Such a fascinating movie.
Always loved the film. I wish they would put the sequels out. They are totally lost films.
I luv these rare and OOP bluray videos becuase I like hunting for them online and in the wild for cheap. The ones I don't know about are new targets to hunt down.
Love finding them super cheap as well.
Eerie indiana, So want to see this again. Thank you for bringing back memories
No problem thanks so much for checking out my video

Wow, great Collection, awesome ;-)
Great collection! Kino actually just released Link on blu ray.
That was Great I am In the UK so I am picking up DVD's for next to nothing. Nobody Bothers with them. Charities (Thrift Stores) have stopped taking them In as they can't get rid of them. Thanks so much really love making these kinda ones as well.
Oh my gosh, great video Shawn 🖤
Thanks so much for always checking out my new videos
I really wish Scream Factory would print Slipcovers with all of their releases, it's such a bummer to order one from Amazon and not get the slipcase.
TheWisestWizards what’s stopping you from offering straight from scream factory?
Really nice collection, one movie im having a hard time getting my hands on is "Fire in the sky" one of my favorite movies scared the shit out of me when i was a kid

WOW You have so many movies more than I do! Children Of The Night I remember that movie! Vampires
You have such a great collection Shawn! You missed Fritz the Cat, Modern Problems and Walk Like a Man (though there's a MOD version available of that one). Probably a bunch more, I'd have to watch the video again. Also, I had no idea Mean Girls was OOP!
Cool I know I have those 3 ones as well.
I think the pride of my out-of-print dvds is Don Coscarelli's 'Kenny & Company'.
So many movies. Grandmothers house sounds like a cool movie.
Ya that one really is worth watching if you can find it.
You should do a video on how you research what is OOP for people like me who are clueless.
Bluray Frank when you collect for years you know what is in stores and what is not and rare.Takes some love for the business to get into it.
Thanks for the idea. I might do something like that
I remember Night Of The Comet! Such a great film!
I have always loved it so much as well.
Very cool! I'm glad to say I own most of these and had no idea they were oop. Thanks for the video Shawn!
You should do an oop video sometime down the line
Great vid man!
Thanks so much for checking it out
Awesome video, Shawn! I actually had several OOP titles in my collection as well such as "Dogma", "Near Dark", "My Neighbor Totoro" (2002 Fox DVD Release with the 1993 English Dubbed) and even "The Greatest American Hero". These titles are so hard to come by!
Awesome. Im always looking to find that My Neighbor Totoro one with the 2002 dub.

Eerie Indiana and are you afraid of the dark bring back happy memories from my childhood.

Hi Shawn. You have the best movie collection. Beautiful!

I never have seen that Scarecrow one I really will have to try and find that one.
coolduder I remember watching The Scarecrow of Romney Marsh on the Disney channel years ago when they used to show old Disney tv shows and cartoons late at night. It’s sad they don’t do that anymore. My favorite was always Zorro :). It’s a pretty show if you ever get the chance to see it, I hope you have luck finding it :)!

I know vinegar syndrome is gonna realsse body melt very soon in America. It’s similar to street trash. I feel like I kinda like them tied
thanks for the info shawn i might hold out for the vinegar syndrome one if it's not region A locked ? i have watched this video of yours 3 times so far and will watch it many more times :D cheers from the UK Shawn
Cool thanks for the info. I wish I had that Deader on on Blu-ray i noticed that went out of print really fast
coolduder Yeah, it was a Best Buy exclusive for about a year. It was only widely released for a few months before Echo Bridge lost the Miramax license.
Awesome collection!
Thanks so much for checking it out.
Man...one of the craziest purchases I ever made ..n I might have mentioned this before on your channel was buying the dvd box set of Subspeices for 50 bucks lol..I hope someday I can get that in return 10 fold..I liked it a lot more as a kid than I do as an adult haha..great video though keep up the good work..only thing I wish u would do is throw out the prices of worth on these
Ya its so tough to remember all the prices but normally you can just check on eBay or amazon and they show the specific prices
Why's Jackson not rereleasing Dead Alive? I want that Blu Ray.
DreadStare i don't think Jackson has anything to do with it. Lionsgate does. They released it, not him.
Nope.Jackson is not interested in releasing his "dirty early Sins"....😉
I really do have a feeling the lions gate vestron video line 'Might" put it out someday
I found Dead Alive a while back for a great price. I also found uncut version with cool cover but it is a burned dvd
@@markwmbrown I paid 20€ for a spanish bootleg
great vid shawn got body double 2nd hand shop blu ray ten pounds.glad i bought society when first came out 👍
Awesome price on Body Double such an amazing film.
Just found your channel a month ago and I love it!
Thanks so much for subbing and checking out my videos :)
Awesome video Shawn lot of great titles. Do you happen to have highway to hell that's one of my favorite horror films a classic
I do. I got the Blu-ray a few years back. lOVED IT.
Actually I got near dark the horror movie too on blu ray, that's extremely hard to get at 30 pounds and I paid a similar price for the 13th warrior from Germany.
Great movie I have body double I'm excited that I still have it today !!!
In the best order I can get it lol. But i do have bot those ones
Are there any OOP Blurays or DVDs that you're still trying to track down?
itz Blu-ray with a hyphan so there iz no blur in it but blu
Mikey is one Im always trying to find
It's not cheezburgr but cheeseburger smartass!!
Just curious, do you have Freddy’s Nightmares the television series?
I have a bootleg. Hopefully a legit dvd will come out someday
Amazing Collection !
Thanks so much for checking out my video
Btw I wish you lived in Florida.. having a movie night with you sounds freaking awesome ! Haha 😎
Why didn't you bake pizza's with luna?
Almost 3 hrs away from Brendan.
My all time favorite George A. Romaro films is Martin. I used to have it on DVD and my wife sold it. To my dismay it is out of print and I haven't been able to find an affordable copy
What do you think of cataloguing the titles of your collection?
I really should do that someday
Nice collection, you ever thought of getting DVD Profiler so you have them backed up in case something happened to them?
You can get the tins from Disney Movie Club for cheaper if available
I wish I could get Clownhouse on DVD or Blu-ray!
I doubt it will ever get a Blu-ray release. But always check thrift stores and places like that. You mind find a dvd.
Heavenly creatures is OOP, so is Splice, the King Kong digibook, Seven digibook, the name of the rose, etc.
Cool I have heavenly creators as well
