Dearest Yamaha, please update the Tracer 900 GT or MT09 to catch up with this sleek design little brother Tracer700 ASAP for I am ready to join your family.
Thanks for the review. The audio on the talking bits is low. I just came from MCN's review and had to turn up the volume 30% to hear what this bloke is saying. The testers should always mention their height so that we can see what fits them as compared to ourselves. Now I know this bike is too small for me since I'm 6'2". That means I can recommend this bike to smaller riders.
hi! Does the vibration annoyed the way to drive? is the Tracer confortable for the long highway journey? I love this bike, in particular the gt version. Thank you
Thanks for the video, at the moment the best video i ve seen, overall because you let hear a little bit the motorbike exahust sound and other channels, they cover it up with music and in my opinion the sound is important........ I wish to see one "on board video" if it will be posible in a next future. Bye Visordown Motorcycle Videos.
Great review! I've been keeping a close eye on this bike for a while. Now that they have upgraded its suspension, I wonder how it compares to the Versys 650 (which I'm expecting to be updated in 2021 due to Euro 5).
Good review.... On the cruise control on a budget bike...? That's a big ask and I think cruise on a bike is unnecessary and also not a safe option. The USB socket is definitely worth standard fitment and wouldn't effect the overall price by much.
Missed opportunity in Canada too, but Euro5 has nothing to do with this as this engine is already used in the T7 and MT07. The profit margin on this bike is not compelling for the importer as it would have to be priced against the Vstrom and would take sales from the Tracer 900.
The new BMW F900R is only £600 more than this new Tracer 700 ... sure it's naked and not half faired but it's a whole lot more bike for only an extra £600 ...
@@chrisredfield3240 The only thing I can think of is that F900xr with a regular 20L tank would take people away from buying the bigger models. 650 Versys would go all day on a single tank\ all week on a daily commute.
Was thinking about this as a replacement for my R1150GS Adventure, fancied something lighter. Sat on one earlier today but didn't like it. I'm 5'10" with a 32" inseam, found the seat height too low & too thinly padded, not comfortable. I found the bars too narrow but that might be just relative to the wider bars on my GS & KTM. Compared to the Tenere 700, close by, you could see the cost cutting that accounts for the £2k price difference. I had hoped the Tracer would be supermoto version of the Tenere but unfortunately not.
Okay, really nice. I had an MT-07 for 3 years, I'm sure this will just as awesome.. but the real question is: WHERE IS THE MT-10 TRACER?! Yamaha are you snoozing? The only reason why I bought an S1000XR is because you are still missing out on the top sport-touring positions!
MT10 has a small fuel tank and poor fuel economy, it would make a very poor touring bike stopping every 100-120 miles for gas. That is the ONLY thing keeping me from a MT10 and converting it for touring, if it had 1 extra gallon capacity and 15% better economy it would be perfect.
So Im probably buying Tracer and what Im interested in is what is the difference between the old one and new. I cant decide if I want to buy 2018 model just because I like front fairing a tiny little bit more or is it worth it to go with do new one because of everything I heard it is better and improved. So can anyone who has ridden the both models give me advice?
I am really bored with reviewers that test bikes with adjustable suspension and say............I haven't adapted the suspension and left it at stock. Why the hell bother? The suspension on the old Tracer 700 was one step up from the MT 07 - So, pretty awful. A test of the bike needs the rider to make the settings perfect (as far as possible) for, at least, 1 up riding. Why did Yam spend money on the suspension rather than traction control? Do your job and find out!
He means it bounces like a pogo stick. Basically it bounces up like you would on a pogo stick. Just search pogo stick in RUclips and you will see what he means.
Looks like the same poor quality steel rear swing arm with lots of welds to rust at the merest whiff of a British winter, ACF or not . I just wish they used better quality components .
I hope that Akrapovič comes standard. The standard can on the CP2 is too quiet. Even the Zero electric bikes are louder. Would be nice if they sold this in the US. Maybe they'll surprise us...

Wow...... the new exhaust leftist-compliant dingleberry sure are ugly. Like you said, a tourer these days deserves a cruise control. Yes it's not throttle-by-wire, but with all the technology out there these days, it seems simple enough to have a compact servo with a cable running up to the throttlebodies for a dedicated cruise. My old 2003 car had exactly that, otherwise cable right off the acelerator pedal for normal duty.
All the Tracers have foot pegs on rear sets, tucking the rider's feet back up under his butt - ridiculous for an adventure-touring bike. GET IT RIGHT YAMAHA!
"Euro 5" is not an excuse to put an ugly clump of poo on the side of the engine and call it a "muffler." It's a terrible, unacceptable monstrosity. Please Yamaha, never release a motorcycle again, unless you're going to put a round muffler on it. There's a reason cars have the exhaust pipes coming out the back, in the same place, behind the rear bumper, on every car. Car's don't just put a big blob of metal coming out under the passenger door, just for the sake of change. You don't change something that makes motorcycles beautiful. You can't change things "just for the sake of change." That's like changing music, or changing art, and making it uglier, "just for the sake of change." Put a conventional canister muffler on the new bikes moving forward, or ELSE!!!
Sweet mother, the more I look at this bike, the more I fall in love with it. Yamaha...UNITED STATES...GIMMEE 😭😭😭
Really sucks that we won't get this bike here in the US. It would sell great here
Indeed
@Hernando Cortez LMFAO.. the Versys 650 is trash.. and its motor is weak... nothing like this bike
Coronavirus
💵 right here Yamaha
Why the heck does Yamaha not sell those in the US?
It looks beautiful. Good fuel economy. Perfect for touring on a budget
Wish they would bring this bike to the states already. I loved my FZ07, but wanted it in a more touring setup. I'd be first in line.
Hi just got mine I love the bike i ride mostly at weekends I had a mto7 for 4 years put the tracer is better all round well done yamaha

Me as well.
I’m 6’4” and I ride my Tracer 700 without any problems, not too small at all.
Nice review 👌
I ordered it last week very excited to get it🤩
I test drived it for few minutes and fell in love
So easy and fun to ride 🤟
hi! Does the vibration annoyed the way to drive? is the Tracer confortable for the long highway journey? I love this bike, in particular the gt version. Thank you
good review..if you're 5'7 then this bike should fit me nicely..
Somehow the more i look at it the more the headlight *eyes* bug me out! It just looks weird when you stare at it
Decent bike, agree with you the inclusion of USB should be standard by now.
USB LED and heated grips should be standard on all NA and EU premium bikes.
Wow, that Akropovic zorst system at 1:54 looks really tidy. Pity it wasn't an OEM fitment.

I think we need the the yamaha cp2 engine in the verseys problem solved
Thanks for quick update! I was looking forward to get tracer 900 gt, but seem like 700 will suit my usage just fine.
We hope this review is helpful
Those roads on Tenerife......sweet memories.
Hi great review as usual.
How about if someone is like over the 6 foot tall??
6.1
Just bought myself one this week. Got an extra discount 'cause I'm buying the 2020 edition when the 2021 edition is coming out next month.
I'm seeing a few demo bikes coming up for sale at good savings. What sort of discount were you offered?
so its safe to assume that the new mt07 will also get spankier suspension
Useful down-to-earth review, thumbs up and thanks, usb , cruise-control...I'd rather support yamaha on that if they'd dropped the price at 1k)
really good quality review! Subscribed!

As much as I like the concept of an adventure bike. This bike paired with a dual sport would be my ideal combo.
Can't wait for March!
Why wait till March , I rode it yesterday and honestly it was not only good but probably the best . Great job Yamaha .

is the face-lift getting carried over to the 900?
Not this year sadly. This looks a lot sleeker and nicer than the MT 09 Tracer.

Was looking at one here. Small, and certainly not cheap Canadian wise.
Looks nice( with luggage) , no issues there. I was eagerly looking at speedo count, how fast it jumbs between numbers ! whats it 0-60 timing ?
When will this come to Malaysia. I NEED IT
Really sad that we won’t get this bike in Malaysia.. im really sure that this bike got a lot of fan in here.. 😔😔

Second review on youtube now where the price is stated as £7799 ..... according to Yamaha UK website you're both wrong .... advertised price is £7945
Be £5995 at the end of season as usual!
What do you expect to get for this much money, sometimes you have to be happy with what you get, maybey some where to put your handbag.
I am sorry how tall are You? Do You put whole feet on the ground?
5'7"
Still not having up side down suspensions !
With those tiny head lights dont be surprised if cars pull out on you when it's dark
If you lowered it and gave it clipons you would finally have an Fz07 with Sport bike styling

How's the lights during the night?
If there like the mt-09 or the T-7 useless
@@chrisredfield3240 that's why i asked... In case they ride it during the night.
The headlights look like they'd be even less effective than the MT09's!
the strips are drl's, the actual headlight is probably either one or both of those globs under the strips
The stripes are only meant to be a light for the day, the proper headlights for evening/night riding are the two round lights beneath them.

Well.. he never said how tall he is...
This front on an mt10 🤤

Nope, the akra is most definitely not standard ... it is an option that costs over £1,300 (approx $1700 ish)
That's a huge increase in price over the 2019 bike.
Lower seat height...???
I thought is was already really low. Trying to attract 5 foot tall people with a lot of models now
