I do love the one brand wash days! But I’m very curious…. What is your current holy grail wash day routine? I think most of us that have been in the game quite a while tend to mix and match products.
One thing I've learned about my hair is that I cannot put stylers in to my soaking wet hair. I initially tried this multiple times and could not get my hair to maintain any of it's curl. I tried different types of products from different brands. I tried plopping, and using a towel to soak up extra moisture. All that did was take any gel away...lol I had nearly given up but decided to give it another go with very damp hair and not soaking wet. It was a game changer for me. My hair just doesn't do well with stylers on soaking hair which I'm assuming is just because I have very fine hair that gets weighed down very easily. I have no real answers...lol Sigh
I love love LOVE these products. I wish they were cheaper but honestly they’re the best for my curls and I was tired of trying products that left me with half assed results
I agree about the crazy firm hold of the Bounce Curl hair spray. I wonder if they changed the formula though, because Curly Chelle did a video about it about a year ago and she said it was loose, flexible hold. Interesting! Not sure what to do with mine, cause I’m not a fan of the superglue fold. Lol
I love bounce curl hairspray and use it like you mentioned, right before diffusing. It gives great hold. How do you compare it to the new, strong hold curl smith hairspray?
It seems like Briogeo has had the best hold of all of the one-brand days. Is that right or do you think another brand has the best hold? Will you share your current go-to products and routine, please? 😁
I’ve been subscribed for years and have been washing my hair upside down over the tub since the day I found you. I stopped bothering trying to style it in 2020 and still wash upside down. I’m ready to dip my toe back in and stop air drying with zero products though
Do you have some slight layers in your hair? My hair is all one length at the shoulder. I’m thinking of adding layers to help with the curl. I have been straightening my hair for years and focusing on my hair health now! What are your thoughts?
How do you keep the back from getting tangled in the back once you go upright? I used to never have this problem but even with brushing like you do it's messy in the back and in some other spots.
@@clareboyle-jl4izI use a very small amount combined with water. After it's dry, break the cast with a hair oil. (Although I never actually run my fingers through my hair because it messes up my curls and I just get knots at the bottom lol)
Question on the rinse out conditioner point - wouldn’t more acidic haircare be actually beneficial to hair? The redken acidic bonding concentrate leave-in is from a line that helps with hair damage due to its low ph (because of high amounts of citric acid). Obviously you wouldn’t want to get as acidic as ACV or something like that but I’d be surprised that rinse out conditioners are that low?
I’m a new subscriber and have been binge watching your very informative videos😊. Yesterday I watched One Brand Washday Favorites from about a year ago. There were quite a few comments about how Bounce Curl had changed and no longer worked for them. Were the formulas changed back? I was thinking about purchasing some of their products based on this video. Now I’m confused and don’t know what to do…help!

I dilute the hairspray in my hand with water, emulsify, and then glaze & scrunch into my microplopped hair. It’s fantastic that way.
Courtney saying that hairspray being the strongest one ever brings me back to high school and my aquanet & stiff stuff days 😂
🤣🤣 Oh boy that was some serious stuff!

Hi Courtney!
The hairspray is one of my faves, I ussually use it while my hair is wet after gel. It gives me a very good cast.❤ and makes my hair last longer.

Totally understand!

Wow, what a transformation! Your hair looks beautiful and voluminous! 💖 I wish Bounce Curl would launch a hard hold mild protein gel.🤗
👀

Loving the chapter titles!
Appreciate that! Glad they are helpful!

Have you ever tried Harry's gel? The cast is insane
She has a video using Harry's gel.
How do you use Harry's gel so that I can get my fingers through the gel, dry?
Years ago, Courtney used to rave about this gel, back in her hard hold gel hunting days. You’ll find her talk about it in her year 1-2 videos

So what gel/cream leave in is better? Curlsmith or Bounce Curl? I have gray wavy hair. It is dry and very fine/thin.
Have you tested anything?
I love this brand! Shampoo, conditioner, and hairspray are my favs. The clump and define cream is really nice too, but it breaks me out. So sad.
I just heard the xmondo wave tech foam is good for wavy hair! Maybe you should try that if you havent yet!
It is definitely on my list of product to try
Yep, I've washed my hair upside down for decades- feels so weird to do it upright and I can't stand the feeling of conditioner dripping down my back!
I would love to see you do another sister wash day!!
OOOO I love this idea!
Or have your cousin do another talk over!

Can you list what you used like the other brands - i take pics so It’s helpful
The bounce curl gel gave me flash drying too. It was terrible. The clump and define cream was also too heavy for me.
That clump and define cream is CRAZY concentrated. I only needed half a pea sized amount. Amazing!
A teeny tiny amount and then emulsify is the only way I can use the clump and define cream
Why your never use a leave-In? Is this not necessary?
when you will wash your hair with curl smith product that we chose?
Soon! I have a few more one brand washdays I want to get to first!
Do you miss your long hair?
I know your were thrilled to donate it. But putting that aside do you miss the length?
I am beginning too. But my goodness this summer is brutally hot and I may be enjoying the shorter length at the moment.
You are very beautiful and gorgeous hair you have..the texture & color ❤️
Thank you so much!!
@@SwavyCurlyCourtney 🥰
the Bounce Curl cream gel is more gel then cream.
I would really like to see you finger coil your hair. And see if it makes your curls look more defined. Please.
I have tried that! Here are two examples.
