can’t trust ledger since they leaked user information few years ago, as a hardware wallet company they shouldn’t make this kind of mistake, if this kind of thing happen before, how can they guarantee my private key is safe if I’m using ledger recover.
For long term storage, I would recommend to use Smart contract based Wallet, especially Safe.
Smart contract based wallet are unsafe and can be compromised as every smart contract with vulnerability

@@Eric-hz7ei No, crypto is stored on the blockchain using your 24 word passphrase. A Ledger hardware wallet doesn't instantly disintegrate when Ledger goes out of business so you can keep using it with Metamask (which cannot go out of business) or retrieve the passphrase.

A bit off topic, but I can't find any info on how to do this... How to correctly transfer USDT from an Okx wallet to binance? I bought my Ledger nano s wallet from Ladger in France, completely closed and never opened. I changed the 24 word key by resetting it when empty. I transferred my coins to the wallet. Transfers were made from my wallet when I did not have any physical connection to my Ledger nano S wallet and when I did not even turn on the PC. I saw that my coins were stolen and this person is ledger himself.
So the person who stole it had no device, no pin, no 24 security words, but he managed to transfer my money. This company is not reliable. Stolen coins are in the pictures

Exactly what happen to me. Cold wallet self custody is not safety as it sounds. I feel safer storing my coin on cex like binance. They take care of the security and safety for us the dummy. Your funds are SAFU - CZ

Not so okay after finding out they have a backdoor and access to your keys.
You need to plug it up every 2-3 months or you’ll get an “error battery cannot charge message.” It’s fixable just found out yesterday.🤷🏾♂️

Much better than Ledger because their code, device and firmware is open source unlike ledger with backdoors. Anyone can build a trezor from scratch

@@Dan-rd8drThat's not what that means. Open source as in you can be the one to compile the code, you can read through it and know that there are no 3rd party access points programmed in. Once you've compiled and uploaded the firmware, it's untouchable

the only downside about Trezor is their mobile app. It's trash and very outdated.

@@aminali6823 Trezor all day. Ledger are not good wallets and I don’t trust them one single bit. I have a lot of experience in this space, i promise you you’ll love the wallet. Also, make sure you buy from them directly. Never buy a wallet form a 3rd party site.
Around where I live ,city of over 400,000 ,its the only one in stock , in the only store that even has them in stock, I put it off and ordered the Tangem . Now ,if you're looking for drugs or hookers , plenty of that around.😂
