Hey Lucy,
I had asked this question in the English with Lucy channel as well but I did not get any reply from you, hence I am asking again.
Can you please recommend a few books on kindle for teens (around 13-15)
Hope you reply this time.
Regards from India,
Nishka
Ok
I love you❤
Lucy you give me lot of motivation to improve my English .. I Know its not so good.. And I'm very bad in English. But you gives me power and courage .. I also have my RUclips channel. And I start it in August 2020.
I had the same surgery 4 years ago and it changed my life 😍😊. I had astigmatism and myopia since I was 13 years old. Love you lucy!!
So happy for you Guillermina!!!!!!!
I have studied from book about astigmatism but i really didn't understand what happens due to astigmatism so could you tell me plz?
maths point i got astigmatism
One cause that makes me like this is continual playing video games and watch videos on youtube. I had watched all day maybe 12/24. My eyes are hurt badly now
@@baongoc9842so, what will you going to do???
Does it hurt?🥺
I'm so glad that you and Will can finally see eye to eye.
Yes I know, that was a bad joke.
😂😂
I think it is so romantic 😘
😂🤓🥰😍
I was short sighted and after getting fed up with lenses/glasses, which by the way I was so uncomfortable with that I wasn't wearing them at all unless I really had to, I decided to have the surgery almost 10 years ago. I still remember that feeling when I realized I could see perfectly as I was leaving the hospital. Best decision I've ever made.
So glad to hear that :D
Whenever someone tells me about
Laser eye treatment my mind goes to final destination movie
I feel it bro :,D
Oh the gruesome scene.....
LMAO. We have same thing.

Or that scene in A Clockwork Orange where they force him to watch the movie 🤣

Hi Lucy Bella Earl. I am a guy from India. I have been seeing your channel since January 16. After seeing your channel my English ameliorated by leaps and bounds. Thanks a lot Lucy Bella Earl. Knowing you had issues with your eye sight was really scary. It is really frightening. It is really good you shared this highly personal upload of yours to all your fans. Thanks a lot Lucy Bella Earl. I am glad to that you could get over this adversity. Having issues with our eyes is a frightening thing. When we have eyes we will not realise its preciousness. Only when there is issue with it only we will realise how important it is. You have made everyone aware about this. It is really good.
You don't need any makeup, you are beautiful in every aspect, may your eyes see every pixel of beautiful butterflies, flowers, the autumn colors, beautiful green landscape under the shiny sun every day ! I wanna thank the doc. God bless.🙂
I had laser eye surgery almost 3 years ago. I have gone through so many doubts because I couldn't find enough information about such surgery on high levels of myopia (I had -10 dioptrics on the left eye and -9 dioptrics on the right eye). Now I can say that it was the best decision in my life.
Wooooow! That’s my myopia as well! Very interesting for me to know that you were able to do the surgery! 😍
How is it now? Do you still use glasses?

I did have the same laser eye surgery almost 2 years ago. I had really poor sight, it was - 5. I went through the same procedure and now I can see clearly 😊😊😊 firstly, it was a shock for me to see how dirty the streets were ahahahah I remember I couldn't do any sports for about 1 month. I couldnt wear my make up for a month either. But it's totally worth it.
I recall my surgery for cataracts. I could actually see the leaves. Each leaf on the tree
I had mixed astigmatism (+ and - simultaneously) and did this surgery 10 years ago. It really changed my life! And I still have ideal eyesight
Hello, i have also mix astigmatism.
I would like to ask you which procedure was done to you? Prk or Lasik?

I have had an Astigmatism for years and before this video was posted I didn’t know what the word astigmatism meant
I’m a native English speaker who sometimes can’t always get what people say because of my learning difficulties
So thank you for sharing your story Lucy
It was very informative and helped me understand and learn about astigmatism in a more simpler way .
When I had my surgery, it was like finally seeing in HD for the first time - best thing I ever did!!
Lucy, very happy for you. Thank God all went so well. Life is beautiful.
The kind of surgery that really scares me but still I've managed to watch the video from start to end without looking away) Made me think about the laser.
I hope you have good health, and best eye vision and more succeeds in your English teachings.
Wooooow, the possibility of todays medicine are just amazing! I am happy for You Lucy, thanks for sharing your expierience - it was such an interesting video
i'm having the same problem with my vision and i've had this since i was in the primary school, that was -2,5 at first and it's getting worse untill the last time i got my eyes checked i had -5,5, (that's more than a year ago). And this time since everything is done online, i have to spend more time starring at my laptop like attending lectures, doing assignment etc, which cause even worse vision to my eyes. I actually have been thinking about getting eyes surgery but kinda scared at the same time so many thanks to you Lucy for sharing your great experience!
If you are considering laser eye surgery, please, please think very carefully. The fact is laser eye surgery is extremely dangerous. I've had it done myself and it has ruined my life. Years on, my vision is the worst it has ever been and I am still in pain. In fact, most people who have told me they have had it done, have also had some kinds of problems, many of them serious and life-changing. Research seems to bear this out, suggesting that problems are the norm, rather than the exception.
Companies providing such surgery have little or no scruples, withhold information about the dangers and pay their staff commissions. Surgeons who carry out the procedures should also not be trusted. The fact that they act in contravention of guidelines laid down by the Royal College of Ophthalmologists should tell you enough. If you are still tempted, make sure you seek advice from an independent optometrist or ophthalmologist who has nothing to gain from you having surgery. The industry is unregulated and that is a serious problem.
Thanks, Lucy, for sharing that experience!
Dear Lucy,
I have been coming back to your channel for the last three months to see f you have uploaded any new videos and I haven't seen any updates. I wish you well. I really miss you and I hope you can upload new videos for the update of your life. We love you Lucy.
You're very brave! I'm also thinking about the operation but it's scaring. And you were absolutely right speaking about miths around the eyes operations!
She got lucky. Getting this procedure is like playing Russian roulette with your eyes/sanity.
You should record audible books! It’s so hard to find readers with your young British accent.
Yea I agree with you
Could you explain what are you trying to say, please?
I miss your vlogs, can’t wait to see a new one! I’m sure I’m not the only one 🙂
The halos and starbursts are my main reason for wanting surgery. Thank you for the honesty. This may just be what I deal with in my life.
That means have you been having this eye issue for a decade? Thank God nothing happened to you amidst this COVID 19 global pandemic. How did you bear this for such a long duration? Your husband helping you during your convalescence also really motivated your speedy recuperation. Both Lucy and Will are mutually fortunate to have each other. Both of you are an incredible pair.
I have used glasses for about 14 years since I was 8 and I really want to have laser surgergy. I went to hospital last year to check and have test for eyes but doctors said I couldn't take the surgergy because my eyes are too weak and dry and couldn't stand the surgergy.
I am happy that you had successful surgergy and get your eyes better ❤

Hello Teacher Lucy Bella Earl. This upload is truly something very helpful. Good awareness upload. I never realised you had this problem. Any issue related to health is really scary. So glad for you!
You’re braver than I am having eye surgery! My eyesight is so bad (also astigmatism) I don’t dare have laser eye surgery as I hear so many horror stories!
There are horror stories from people taking ibuprofen and it burning a hole in their stomach with the same incident rates as bad LASIK.
That’s not true! The risks of lasik are way higher than the risk of ibuprofen! They’re not even comparable! 1. The LASIK flap never heals. Weak scar tissue around the flap edge holds it in place -- like a Tupperware lid. But the flap itself is not attached and can be accidentally dislodged for life. Moreover, the LASIK flap creates a permanent portal in the cornea, which exposes patients to increased risk of late onset corneal inflammation or infection.
2. The cornea is permanently thinner and weaker after LASIK. Corneal biomechanical failure (ectasia) may occur shortly after LASIK or many years -- even decades -- later. Young women of child-bearing age are at increased risk during pregnancy after LASIK.
3. Researchers have found that LASIK patients may need cataract surgery up to 15 years sooner than people who avoid LASIK. To add insult to injury, the LASIK-altered cornea causes problems with cataract surgery.
4. Osman et al. (2017) found that LASIK using the latest blade-free technology leads to posterior vitreous detachment (PVD) (floaters) in 85% of eyes that did not have pre-existing PVD.
5. LASIK leads to falsely low intraocular pressure (IOP) measurement, exposing patients to permanent vision loss from undiagnosed glaucoma.
6. Corneal nerves responsible for tear production are severed and destroyed during LASIK. No study at any time point has found that corneal nerves fully recover to normal densities and patterns after LASIK. Damaged nerves may lead to chronic dry eyes.
7. Injury to corneal nerves during LASIK may lead to incapacitating neuropathic eye pain.
8. Since LASIK does not eliminate the need for reading glasses after the age of 40 and studies show that visual outcomes of LASIK decline over time, virtually all LASIK patients will end up back in glasses - sometimes sooner rather than later.
9. The FDA's latest LASIK study found that up to 46% of subjects who reported seeing no visual distortions (halos, starbursts, glare, and ghosting) before LASIK reported visual distortions after LASIK, and up to 28% of subjects with no symptoms of dry eyes before LASIK developed dry eye symptoms after LASIK.
10. LASIK complications have led to corneal transplants, blindness, loss of eye, disability, unremitting eye pain, suicidal thoughts, and a number of actual suicides.
Now your incredibly beautiful eyes can see the world the way they deserve. :) So happy for you, Lucy!
I love your pfp
Hope you recover soon ,Lucy💛💖.....Thank you for this video ,it was really helpful 🙏🙏

Hi Lucy I hope your visions keeps getting better. I had lasik eye surgery in 2008 at age 31 and it was good it does change your life with me i played a lot of sport so not wearing glasses was great. Although I had to have my right eye done again about 9 years later so I can see good long distance with both eyes but my short vision now is not so good, but as you age your visions slowly deteriorates :( but you are young so do not worry.
I’m glad that you’re okay now🥰🥰
I had lasik little over a year ago and it's been the absolute best thing I could have ever done for myself. Highly recommend to anyone finding themselves frustrated towards their glasses daily. It is life changing!
So glad you have also had a fab experience! Life is so much more beautiful now 🥰♥️
I also have really bad eyes and the feeling of squinting them, it worked sometimes but I feel like it made them smaller. I hate glasses as well but contacts are just... too much😂. I would definitely get a surgery when I grow up. I'm really glad to know that it doesn't hurt.😂
I do understand how you felt. My vision scattered down to -8,5 accompanied by astigmatism. I was literally blind. Nevertheless I got married, gave birth to my first child without any extra help and took a decision to undergo the surgery. It felt like a disaster. Actually it happened 17 years ago and it took me nearly a month to recover. After I gave birth to my second child I started to see slightly worse, but i made lots of exercises and got good results. I understood one thing, you definitely can change everything. But why did it happen to me? Why does it happen to people? I was bewildered by the idea I once heard, that we loose vision when we don't want to see something. It's so important to learn to cherish and enjoy life and everything we have in it.
I've been waiting so much for your new vlog! It brings me so much joy 💘😍

interesting, one of the side effects I had from Lasik was dry eyes. But it certainly has gotten better over the years. I think it is gone, and now my eyes just get dry depending on screen time or dust exposure. It has been 7 years since I had lasik done, and I have no regrets. it was truly an improvement and a well made investment on my health.
SO glad to hear that Angelica

Great news! One of my friends was less lucky. He took the same surgery and his eyesight became worse.
I have a pretty bad prescription -6.00 and -6.25 and some astigmatism so i'd love to have laser eye surgery but my worry is i suffer with dry eyes and they are pretty bad, so that with the fact that i hear dry eyes can be a side effect from laser eye surgery it worries me as If i had it done and they became even dryer than now, then that would be so uncomfortable. I just saw your vid that you also have dry eyes. Mine have got worse this last month or so, and i'm looking at seeing an Eye Doctor. What was the type of laser surgery you had? Lasik or smile? Any chance Lucy you can inbox me for a chat and accommodate me with funding for my eyes as it's so expensive and my are so dry and it seems like they are getting worse every year, you know how frustrating it is.
Looking forward for your new video!
I am aware that these surgeries change lives. Congrats it went great to you. But appart from the first disclaimer I must confess I am missing the possible counterparts these could lead to.
