Actually it was just a mistake with the filters I used in rendering. I am used to using a lighting mod that requires a contrast boost, but I am using Project Reality here, and I need to figure out which filters to apply to make it look in video the way it looks in game :)
Either you are one the best reviewer I've ever watched, or that is by far the best mod ive ever seen! You made it seem extraordinary!!! Well done to both you and the creator of the mod.
I am planning to do a video on it, but I need to try it out first so that will take a few days of play. You can follow that on part 18 of chapter 2 of my lets play if you want to see it before I cover it in a Mod Sanctuary :)
I am really looking forward to the projected "Batch Patch" Video! I need that implemented now. I have several mods sitting in wait, until you make this video. I have tried several times and lost 100 hrs of my life trying to understand how that works. there are no instructional videos about doing that. Great work Gopher1 Kudos!
I've never been the biggest Wrye bash user for merged patches, but since there hasn't been a real alternative so far, I've been using it for a couple of weeks, and so far, it has really improved my gameplay experience and stability with hours upon hours of crash free gaming. Great to know you'll cover it in the near future! +1 :p
I have not yet reinstalled, and I have finished the next part of the Lets Play. Maybe release it tomorrow :) Got to get the encore video for this video done.
That is up to you, but if you do not, you will have all the items twice. However if you do disable the ones you have, you lose the armor. I will cover that in an encore video too :)
Gopher, great vid, thanks for showcasing hothtrooper's work! Probably one of the most influential armor mods available for Skyrim. Did you notice he added the Einherjar Armor at that mod author's request? I really hope other lore-friendly armor artists jump on this bandwagon, cause the effects in game for this extra level detail are just so worth it.
I play Skyrim on the xbox and although i like playing on console THIS is something console players like me will never get. These are freaking amazing looking!
The ABSOLUTE BEST thing about this mod is simply put: You are not bound to wear each set as itself with itself, and only itself. You can, as one could assume (and this is hypothetical, as I have [as of yet] not downloaded this mod), experiment with your choices of armor per piece; since the mod essentially recreates armors by mixing many together, and occasionally has it's own parts, why not mix up the mixed parts further? I mean, any variation of 2 or 3 sets of armor is awesome. Try it out.
2 little quick things. 1. The Hedge Knight Armor Helmet isn't supposed to look like that, the author just made the helmet use the Dragonplate helmet mesh when worn by Orcs so it wouldn't clip. 2. The problem with the Vanguard Helmet is that you are an Orc, and the author doesn't have an Orc mesh for the helmet, so it doesn't appear. The best way to show off armors would be to show them on your Nord character, as that almost guarantees that everything will show up right.
Hoth here, and yes, a couple of my helms are lacking full beast race support. As you can see, it's only a few - and I will get to them in time, but the sets are better shown on human races.
I don't agree. He deserves those subs entirely. He knows what his subscribers want, and he gives it to them in spades and seems to enjoy himself doing it. He is harming no one, and entertaining many. And at least his thumbnails are honest. You click on a picture of boobs, and you get a video with boobs. No false advertising at least :)
Well, now you know what to do once you finish the Stiv playthrough. ;) Seriously though, SkyRe is the -only- mod I can't play Skyrim without. It changes so many things and does them all so brilliantly that I can't imagine ever playing without it. It's worth a try for the skill changes alone.
Ooh! I will have to try this. I'll have a lot of time since I got my wisdom teeth out today and I have a few days off because of it! Hopefuly the pain won't interfere with the awesome of the mod.
Well at least they encourage it. They release stuff like creation kits to help the mod community. Hell I wouldent be surprised if some of the top notch mod makers get hired by them. They help each other really.
1. Download the mod. 2. Once it is done, open the zip file with Winrar or any zip tool. 3. Drag everything from the zip into your Data folder in your Skyrim directory (usually C;/Program Files/The Elder Scrolls IV/Data 4. Fire up your game, and before clicking play on the splash screen, click data files and check the esm file of the mod. (if its your first mod, it'll be the only one there along with Skyrim.esm) 5.Play and Enjoy!
I've run it with both WATER and realistic lighting, didn't notice any conflicts though but the mod author has included a set of realistic lighting settings for download, along with the optional enb.
Gopher, could you do a tutorial video on how to patch Immersive Armors v7 for SkyRe. A lot of people have problems with it (including me) so you would do a big favor for everyone =)
I wish the Viking armor was more expanded and the helmets had the chainmail skirt that covers the whole face. Since you know that matches Nords far more than stupid shit with horns on it, which got real old a long time ago.
the only problem is that Important NPCs use the armors too, like the imperial Legates, Legate Rikke, and many others, they use those armors. But the mod is just awesome!
When you get your game working again I was hoping that you could show some way to get a bokeh depth of field working. From all the screenshots I've seen of the ENB mods that have it it makes anything up close look like they have a much higher quality and generally makes the game more beautiful. However I have been unable to figure out how to install one. Where your expertise seems to lie is being the only mod reviewer out there that shows how to install.
It should be as long as hothtrooper takes the time to port it over, it does not use SKSE or rely on anything special so I dont see why it wouldn't work on console. Its fairly large almost 1gb on PC so it may take up a fair amount of that 2gb limit on consoles if they do that in skyrim as well, thats the only drawback I can think of.
Small thing. It should be noted that hothtrooper44 did NOT make all the armors in this mod. Several of them (ranger, mercenary, heroic imperial, dwarven mage, barbarian and ancient nord barbarian) all originated in the Lore-friendly Armor Pack by Rahman530. That author abandoned that mod long ago and gave permission to anyone who wants to continue it and hoth does give proper credit on the Immerse Armor's page. Also, Gopher, why didn't you mention the weapons added by the mod?
So I guess you got your second Skyrim Let's Play all lined up. All you need to do is decide what species/play style to chose... and as you've done fighter, thief's and mage, why not try... Monk... As in unarmed fighter with some archerer, sneak and destruction thrown in.
I've no problem with the orc, but I will say this the orc often has clipping more so than other races, so in the future you may want to use a breton or somesuch for armour mods particularly the head.
BTW Vikings never had horns on their helms, perhaps that's why Gopher probably didn't identify the viking armor with vikings, I can't remember which painter painted them with horns to make them look more demonic.
Have you looked at the mod SkyRe or Skyrim Redone yet? I would very much like to see a video covering that and how it works/what you think of it some time. :)
You ever visit Alaska? My 14 year old cousin played hockey, and the whole team, girls included would walk around outside with sweaty t-shirts on, in -19 degree weather. Even I stood outside in my underwear for 10-15 minutes at -10. You get accustomed to things. Also let's not forget, aside from the Nords resistance to cold, not every inch of Skyrim is covered in snow. Just a few things to consider is all =).
3:50 the helm is the dragon bone helm the helm does not work for orks Argonians and kithets so when you get this mod use like a nord and the helm is made from scratch it looks like a nobles helmet
While watching this video i was like "yeah i would probably download these if i decide to play that kind of character" then when you said the were in the leveled list i was all like "OH MY GOOOOOOOOOD!!!! DOWNLOAD!!! DOWNLOAD!!! DOWNLOAD!!!"
Get the cloaks of skyrim addon as they have plenty of cloaks that fit well with this armor and there is HDT patches for FINIS Animations to apply havoc physics now so they flow like capes. Keeps you warm and reveals the splender of the armor as you move.Make sure you memory tweak if you have alot of other script mods though. Skyproc,ENBoost,Pagefile, and i believe there is a line in the skyrim.ini files that can help alocate RAMM correctly that i use as well. Keeps alot of would be crashes away even with alot of dirty mods.
You didn't make really clear that this is a mix of mods from hothtrooper44 and the discontinued lore friendly armors pack made by Rahman530. So not all armors are made by hothtrooper44
Consoles are no more a restriction than PCs. Every PC game has to be designed to run on an outdated device to ensure that most people who don't have thousands of dollars to blow on a new PC can still play the game. Second, I am not talking about the shear VARIETY of content, but the QUALITY. Vanilla skyrim could easily have included cloaks, backpacks, hazardous weather, and more natural looking armor. As I said. Bethesda doesn't give 100% because they know the mod community will bail them out.
Thank you for actually showing all the armors because a lot of mod showcasers skip a lot of them
I am planning to do a video on it, but I need to try it out first so that will take a few days of play. You can follow that on part 18 of chapter 2 of my lets play if you want to see it before I cover it in a Mod Sanctuary :)
I love these armors, I Love the way Skyrim looks, and I like mods that keep that look going.
I've watched too many mod showcase series. But I just found this one... and it is the best.
I like how he pronounces "Skyrim Mod Sanctuary" in the intro :)
you are just awesome dude, doing all these mod showcases and stuff
I call it ingenious. That's what makes them fit so well. They look as if they've already been there or should have been there.
All the bugs in the video on the char has been fixed so don't worry I tested the armor that had glitches on it.
Warchief for the win!
Must have mod for any Skyrim playthrough, if only because npcs also can wear them, which is great for variety.
I've never been the biggest Wrye bash user for merged patches, but since there hasn't been a real alternative so far, I've been using it for a couple of weeks, and so far, it has really improved my gameplay experience and stability with hours upon hours of crash free gaming. I have been using this mod so long I swear I thought the heroic imperial Armour was vanilla.
Man immersion is the shit.
I'm not gonna lie. had to do a double take when he said the name. x3.
Yeah me too and do you think that the eye holes are slightly too high up? or is it just me?
Thanks for the headsup on that.
Hey is this mod on Xbox one?
I have not yet reinstalled, and I have finished the next part of the Lets Play. Maybe release it tomorrow :) Got to get the encore video for this video done.
Hoth trooper...you return.
i love when he complimented the vanilla armor the most
That's partly why I subbed lol. Looking up armour/clothing etc on the Nexus can be really weird sometimes.
thanks for showing my screenshot at 9:23 gopher!
That is up to you, but if you do not, you will have all the items twice. However if you do disable the ones you have, you lose the armor. I will cover that in an encore video too :)
Hey is that heroic imperial armor mod on Xbox one?
Aha nice! Historically accurate Viking armour for a change
Hmm I may have got mixed up with all the different armors. I will check it out and do an encore video :)
I swear you are the only mod uploaded who never covers perverse armour mods.
For a start, you could listen to what he's saying. He actually goes over that. You can find the armor on enemies and you can also smith them.
Ahh, after leering through several Modreviews of less practical armours I finally found what I was looking for :D
Already installed for part 18 of my lets play :)
i like this guy gives you a chill vibe well watchng
real relax XD
This Mod is a must on my Mod List :3
those armors look freaking epic.
Thanks to this video, I shall download the mod.
I play Skyrim on the xbox and although i like playing on console THIS is something console players like me will never get. These are freaking amazing looking!
another good review my good sir

the point he was making is that the modding community comes up with mods that should have been in the vanilla game. Or are just plain awesome.
I love of them exepct for the bright white armor
Love the war chief armor! Wish that was in the game!
Still waiting for that encore video, especially since the mod has had some HUGE updates.
Just love the way he pronounce his r!
I also highly recommend immersive armor with immersive weapons. It really gives Skyrim a new lease of life. At least it did for me. Must have!
Thanks for the help and quick answer...
"Yeah, and my favorite touch is that the Jarl of Falkreath actually wears it.
I love the bosmer reinforced armor
I really like it. It has a knighty look to it.
The heroic imperial is designed around roman

Gopher, could you do a tutorial video on how to patch Immersive Armors v7 for SkyRe. A lot of people have problems with it (including me) so you would do a big favor for everyone =)
This is V6, V7 is out and it adds a *LOT* more armors. :D
but wont work with skyRe :/
The Heroic Imperial Armor looks a lot like what the Roman Legion would wear.
Fair enough, I am now convinced.
Great, thanks for your help mate

That is mostly true, I'll give you that.
I really hope this is in the console revamp!!!

Thanks for the vid gopher =3
Ehh, for a lore friendly playthrough, not a fan of the baratheon armor. other than that the mod looks excellent
4:22 - First thought: "THIS...IS...SPARTA"
BTW Vikings never had horns on their helms, perhaps that's why Gopher probably didn't identify the viking armor with vikings, I can't remember which painter painted them with horns to make them look more demonic.
Gopher, you probably wont reply but is the installation the same with v7? Because everytime i download with the manager it doesnt work
Haha thats a brilliant way to put it!

the orc in Elder Scrolls lore are technically Orsimer. key part, "mer". as in elfish.
Has Goshper reviewed the third Era weapons mod, it's really good.
Will you be doing a SMS on the new Project Reality? I'd love to see your take on it compared to URWL or the superb RCRN.
3:50 the helm is the dragon bone helm the helm does not work for orks Argonians and kithets so when you get this mod use like a nord and the helm is made from scratch it looks like a nobles helmet
i believe it was a more general comment rather than aimed at your video
It would take weeks to review SkyRe properly. That is a mod that needs to be played thoroughly to really understand it.
Realism is essential in a game with dragons.
AHHH!
at 3:40 they are not "horns" they are "antlers". other than that great narration :)
Second suit is so good for the Dark Brotherhood.
Rather hate the vanilla DB armor tbh
Lota copy and paste if you ask me. Some times it fits. Some times not so much. :/
So how well does this work with other mods like Frostfall?
very
whatchachattin
cool
I believe you can change the WEAR statistics ingame anyway.
Get the cloaks of skyrim addon as they have plenty of cloaks that fit well with this armor and there is HDT patches for FINIS Animations to apply havoc physics now so they flow like capes. Gopher, is there anywhere where you list all the mods you use regularly. Like your baseline mods that you don't play Skyrim without?
Heroic imperial armor kind of reminds me of hoplites of greek :)
Day 3. Still haven't got out of Gophers modding Skyrim videos grip.
Feeling a bit thirsty..
Hedge knight has the dragon plate helmet
Some of them are craftable, others are found on bandits.
I'm having problems with some of the amours being invisible which is annoying when random enemies seem to be invisible for the most part.
