I have actually flown one of the other T-67 aircraft used in the 'Come Outside' programme! Back in the early 90's I had a flying lesson at Oxford Airport Kidlington (EGTK) and It was in G-BOCM which at the time was owned by the Oxford Air Training school that has since become Oxford Aviation Academy! Flew with a woman instructor too! :) Would love to come and fly this one day!
This plane completely encompasses a very influential part of my childhood, great memories, I grew up expecting to own one that I could fly to the shops in. XD this to me is more Iconic than the b2tf delorian, herbie, or even the trotters reliant regal! Take good care of her and please give her spots back! Have you not heard of the tale of Sampsons hair?
I used to watch it all the time and was my favorite program back in the day and it was the first aircraft i saw now over 20 years later i'm having lessons from EGCB ( Barton ) but would love to see G-SFTZ with my own eyes.
Kinda a shame it lost the paint job you wouldnt know it was the same plane unless someone told you. im honestly suprised it still flys i know the rosie and jim boat hasnt been in use since the series ened about 16 years ago its nice to know this is still flying after all thses years. i did always wonder back then if mable actuly flew the plane or not turns out she didnt but i did wonder if she ever actuly went for a ride in it or not
I think they were all Temporary wraps on all of the planes because you can still see some of the normal paintwork on the tail, wing tips and under the propellar
So basically when the show ended they went oh let's sell the plane and it got used as a plane no one saw it as the plane from one of the most Iconic British kids TV programmes in history. Right scrape that lot off spray it and get it on ebay! England all over. Still makes me sick what happened to Fred dibnah's property and belongings.

I know exactly how you feel!

I flew aerobatics in that when it was based at Compton Abbas. What a day that was! 😍
Great to hear this!
Did you know Stephen Davies..the pilot? He flew this plane 💫
I saw G-STFZ at Halfpenny Green (EGBO) quite recently, its now refitted with a 3 bladed prop
I think you should get it painted with the come outside paint job
So I fly from CJ and had no idea a relic from my childhood is based there
they should of kept the spiral on the spinner at least
Agreed!
I just found out my father flew this exact plane...🎉👍🏻😁
awesome!
Hang on - are you saying this is actually the exact same aircraft that was used in Come Outside!? I thought it was just the model!
It's the exact same aircraft - check the reg in the cut to Come Outside!
Nice video, so what happened to the other plane she flew Reg. G-RAFG
@@dmeechhh Thank you! I'm not sure - I hope she's around somewhere..
@@dmeechhh its livery got changed and left after that

The rosie and jim boat is up and running again, there was a video posted on RUclips about a year ago
Why the paint job go tho? It would been ace to keep it the same
I agree - I assume the owners post Pippin didn't!

Honestly that needs to be restored to the polkadots. Sacrilege they didn't keep them
Agreed!
Nice Shirt!
Thanks!
Love this shirt! And loved that show as a kid - I only watched it for the plane 😂 good to see it s still going!
BBC2 actually
To be honest its paint got changed and put in an airfield and never flown again from what I've seen
Come Outside used 3 different Slingsbys. I believe this one, G-SFTZ was the second.
G-BOCM doesn't fly anymore as far as i know
G-BOCM needs an engine rebuild and is in private ownership
You said the airfield was Sherbert in Elmet - nice try. ;-)
It is Sherbert in Elmet??
@@dantheguitarist5823 No, it isn't.
