That was weird. Overgrown , door open, no leaking roofing and no signs of animals or vandalism! The first building outside must have been an original house. That was a good find! Take care ❤️ 🇨🇦
Wow. That was a hard-core 1970’s renovation, right down to the orange carpet in the bathroom 🤢. It’s difficult to believe people ever looked at those colours and materials and said “Yes, that’s what I want!” Another great discovery. Thanks!
I would go and by that house in a heartbeat it’s a amazing house. I know carpentry and that house would not take much to get it back into useable state again I love it besides the 70s carpets and wallpapers 😂😊
People driven from their jobs, industry shipped offshore, lives interrupted and ruined without warning by globalization and foreign industrial thieves.
Love that this was not vandalized!!! If someone was looking for a cheap, fixer upper...the house looked as if it was restorable. It would need updating. If the structure was good, you could fix up the property & then renew or build a new house. Yes, self dig out basement. Old rock foundation. Thank you sooo very much for sharing this property. Thank you Brent❤️
Apart from hideous carpets and wallpaper that's a great house 🏡. With a bit of TLC and some modernisation it would make someone a good family home. Love your photography and choice of music! Gill 🇬🇧
Whow! Loved this old home. Thankful no vandalism! Looks like the people who lived there last, took care of the place & took their belongings. The cliset and little pantry were n9t original. They were added later, closing up (and hiding)that lovely old wooden banister. With progress came more "things" and needs for sroring them. Loved this explore! Cool old basement!
Such a great find; unmolested by vandalism abandoned house. Wouldn't take much to bring this place back to livable again. Thanks again for the great content, do be safe out there adventuring. 👍✌
What a lovely old house. I enjoy seeing the homes that haven't been vandalized, so you can kind of tell what the house was or would be like when inhabited. I wouldn't think it'd take all that much to renovate it. First to go, carpet in the bathroom LOL and the garish carpets (I didn't like those in the 70's either LOL). One has to wonder why it was abandoned. Thanks so much for sharing, really enjoyed it 😊👍
I love it-still love the 70's/80's decor. Panel walls and loud wallpaper, those old green carpets-not for everyone I know. Have good childhood memories and this reminds me of just that.🍁
Definitely a house from the 70 s in furnished decore. I. Love the retro 70 s lights in the house. And those accordian pocket doors remind me of my aunt's house.. Thanks for another trip down memory lane Brent !!!!😁👍
Reminds me of my mom's house, especially all those colors in the carpets, and same for the cellar walls, and i love the layout, good old fashion style thanks for sharing this 👍 😊...
When you went upstairs the closet door was open (at bottom of stairway) when you came down from videoing the upstairs the closet door (sliding door) was half closed 😳 ! Great video Brent! That house is definitely live able...hopefully no one trashes it.... better yet someone will fix it up! Thank you for the explore!
it was nice letting my imagination soar as to who or whom lived within them walls, how long was it a good home?..when did it stop being a good home?..why did it stop being a good home?..questions like that...Thanks & THUMBS UP!!
I love old houses and this was a good one! I also like that it was not vandalized. I just do not understand why people think it's okay to ruin a house. I was hoping you would have another video up soon and here you are! Thank you so much.
Nice old house.....loved the light fixture in the living room and the banister.....those were beautiful. Thanks for sharing, Brent....I'm always looking for your next adventure!!!
Brent you are so cute ...pizza delivery...lol..love the introduction music..really unique...I can't believe the saloon doors down to the basement...not very safe..great video..
I'd say the bones of that house are quite good and restorable. It was "updated" in the early 70's by someone that didn't have enough money to pull out the old floors etc. Whoever owned the place took care of it - but never updated it or didn have the money.
I remember when Shag carpets were popular in assorted colors...lol....I enjoyed watching this explore. As always great filming and music...etc....thanks Brent.
Nice staircase and under stairs nook ! Gold and green carpet the colors of the 70's. Such a large expanse of country not populated. Good to see. Thanks !
Omg that mirror upstairs with the yellow “cracks” my nana had the same one at the bottom of her stairs!!! When she renovated we all kept a piece as they came in squares :)
After watching this video, I realized that this house is still usable. Someone should talk to Government for reuse. Beautifully decorated house. Thank you for this video.
Excellent find! Very happy to see it not butchered by vandals. As for the opening shots, very nice drone footage again! My only question, what spooked you, a snake? LOL Gotta love that really groovy shag carpet on the landing & stairs. Yikes! Thanks again Brent, you're doing a fantastic job. I'm already looking forward to the next explore!
Very nice older country house! All the rooms were small, but I think this place could be renovated! The stairwell banister is very nice, beautiful untouched wood! Property is overgrown, but still so lush and green!! Another great explore!❤️
I am in love with the first shot of you entering the house. The door knob on the cabinet to your right ( eye level ) . The cabinet door is open and you moved past it so fast I rewound the video several times to get a better look. So pretty and simple but delicate.
Thanks Brent! Very 1970's alright! That carpet in the bathroom creeps the bejeez outta me! I appreciate your taking us along on this explore. Take care and be safe my friend!! Looking forward to your next adventure!!
I would love to have this! Rip out carpet and paneling and then I would strip all of that beautiful woodwork! The upstairs could be reconfigured for a master suite too.Very sad...
This is the cutest house ! I even dig the 70s carpets except for the carpet in the bathroom. And I think the building outside was a Workshop/ Barn as this house sits on acreage. Which is where I spotted an Avon box! Nice find Brent,oh and I love your hoodie!
The staircase bannister was beautiul. Glad it wasn't destroyed. It had a quiet dignity to it. Amazing! Thanks! Pizza delivery--very funny. Glad you didn't hurt yourself coming up the basement steps! In the intro where you are walking down the path, you almost did a Monty Python running back to get your camera. Haha!
LOVE IT !! Pizza Delivery!!! Brent you have to remember the bedrooms are small because back then you just sleep in there, not like today they want huge bedrooms with a master sweit sitting area, walk in closets and a huge en- sweit. Good explore, It was nice to see no graffiti and no damage.
Yeah those colours were popular in the 60s and 70s. We had green carpet, gold upholstered furniture in our living room. My bedroom carpet was gold and orange shag, and I had an orange painted wall. Coverlet on my bed was orange and gold geometric patterns. Fridge and stove were gold too. Love that wooden banister up the stairs.
I'm so glad you stopped putting jump scares in your videos. I almost stopped watching your stuff until I read a comment that you were going to stop doing it. Been enjoying your videos ever since.
@@AbandonedUrbexCanada ya I haven't missed a video since, I just can't watch your early stuff because I'm usually half asleep in bed when I watch the videos so the jump scares don't work for me. 😂
The stone foundation was amazing. Love exposed stone. I think that one room you said was so small had originally been bigger. Think the wall the light was on had been added because it cuts off part of the window frame. The right side of the window doesn’t have the full bulls-eye decoration like it has on left side. Wonderful find. Thank you! Travel safely and stay healthy. ~~~Deb in VA
awesome explore Brent, that was definitely a nice little family house at some time,, it was so funny in the upstairs bathroom, i haven't seen a paper Dixie cup dispenser in years, looks like it may have been elder folks living there too, with the support bar in the bathtub,,,it wouldn't take much though to get it back in shape ,its still halfway decent,,,, stay safe, I'll get ya a Ko-Fi, next time around
6:45 I have the same door like this. The same color, also the lines on the wooden steps. I'm shocked. My house was built around the 80's. This is incredible.
I agree about the "fond" memories. We had yellow shag downstairs, wood paneling in the family room. When my parents redecorated it was like, wow, this is actually a nice house!
Looks like they halved the rooms to make more bedrooms and bath. The swinging door on that one room reminds me of growing up in an old house with three ad ons. Bedroom leading into another bedroom. The dining room turned into a bedroom. A closed off doorway made into shelves. Washing machine in the kitchen. Average folks making do. Not fancy but it worked. That old home is long gone now, like this one will be soon. Thanks for sharing.
Wow! That’s way nicer than the house I live in. Would you have freaked out if someone in the house would have said “Oh, good. That pizzas finally here! Bring it in please!”
Looks like somebody installed a new furnace, water heater and oil tank. And then they left. I think there was a serious problem encountered and renovation work was abandoned.
It's easy to see that you put a lot of work and soul into your videos, Brent. Thanks very much for sharing them with us - you're one of the best out there! Cheers👍

Mister Ed I thought the same when I saw the pink toilet 😖
TheKodester ha ha! That would be a screaming moment lol 😆
Blame it on the Brady Bunch TV set designers!
I had red & pink shag in my bedroom. That was 😎 back then
Right from the start in the kitchen and dining room, I sensed it had been a warm and happy home. Nice.
You never let us down on abandoned houses keep up the great work
cat wilk Agreed!!! 😁👍

This house is still pretty decent, a couple of months of work could make her shine.

This house needs just light restoration and minor fixes, two guys in one week could turn this house into beautiful home.
Yea it looked like it was in great shape. Well built.
I couldn't agree more
Put 10 thou into it
The foundation is stronger than houses just finished built...the stone work wow!
Yeah but not modern
I wish old houses could talk, too! How come there are so many of these abandoned houses!?

So nice to see not destroyed by vandals!
"carpet in the bathroom, NOT a good ideA..." :) Oh man, the Seventies....
I had a nasty overflow a few years ago that would have made carpeting a nightmare.
No not good a carpet it bathroom
@@jeannettegagnon1204 I have no idea why that was fashionable in the 1970s. They should've known better by then.

#1 reason: insufficient funds
