  • Without good management, every artist/band falls apart eventually. The Beatles prove this fact. Associating with often-hated Allen Klein precipitated their untimely demise; others-notably Jagger & co. around 1970-found out hard way. Albert Grossman found himself vilified by no less than Bob Dylan & drove a wedge between members of the Band pre-Seventies! Far worse than either was “Colonel” Tom Parker, who almost single-handedly ruined Elvis Presley. His obvious crimes are too numerous but familiar enough to casual fans. Was also thinking of Mike Jeffrey, used in Jimi Hendrix video. Even Malcolm McLaren possible though after deliberation honourable mention settles on lesser-known Saul Zaentz of CCR infamy. John Fogerty disliked him while alive, resembling Paul McCartney’s attuned mistrust of “Ron Decline” (All you need is Cash movie).
