    About All In The Family:
One of the most acclaimed comedy series of all time, All in the Family with Archie Bunker as the irascible, highly opinionated, working-class family man who viewed the world on his terms and his terms only. When not arguing with his liberal son-in-law, "Meathead," Archie took refuge in his long-suffering wife, Edith, who tries her best to understand Archie's conservative ways and outdated beliefs.
About The Jeffersons: His cleaning business booming, scrappy George Jefferson decides it's time to move on up to the deluxe apartments on New York's posh east side. Thinking that this is the beginning of the "easy life," George is ill-prepared for the unexpected pitfalls his new address will bring him.
About Archie Bunker's Place: Archie and his partner, Murray buy the neighborhood bar and rechristen it “Archie's Place.” The Bunkers adopt their niece, Stephanie, but during the show's second season, Edith dies, leaving Archie to raise Stephanie, and, soon, another niece, with the help of a black housekeeper. Most of the action is set at the restaurant, with a cast of new characters including Anne Meara as the cook and Jason Wingreen as the bartender.
About 227: In a world gone "condo," apartment building 227 is much more than just a street address--it's a haven from the fast-paced life of Washington D.C. for its many tenants. Through the good times and the bad, through rent hikes and garbage strikes, the tenants of 227 are a close-knit, tough, not always harmonious family, and Mary Jenkins is the "thread" that keeps them together.
About Good Times: Life in the Chicago projects is never easy, However, the Evans family never gives up trying to make the best of things.
About The Facts of Life: At the Eastland School in Peekskill, New York, Edna Garrett (Charlotte Rae) oversees the day-to-day lives of students who come from all walks of life. Under the care of this slightly nutty but always caring housemother is the beautiful, rich and spoiled Blair Warner (Lisa Whelchel); the witty, plump and impressionable Natalie Green (Mindy Cohn); Dorothy “Tootie” Ramsey (Kim Fields), the young and persistent campus gossip; and Joanna “Jo” Polniaczek (Nancy McKeon), a Bronx-born and bred streetwise kid whose tough exterior masks the brains and compassion she's hiding underneath.
About Maude: Gutsy, smart, outspoken, and liberal -- all are terms that describe Beatrice Arthur in the title role of the TV series that spun off from the popular All in the Family. Well-educated and upper-middle-class, Maude Findlay is the archetypal feminist of her generation. She lives in suburban Tuckahoe, New York, with her fourth husband, Walter (Bill Macy), their divorced daughter, Carol (Adrienne Barbeau), and grandson Phillip.
About One Day At A Time: Set in Indianapolis, this beloved, long-running series takes a comedic but realistic look at divorcee Ann Romano (Bonnie Franklin) and her daily struggle to find her own identity while raising her two daughters, rebellious Julie (Mackenzie Phillips), 16 when the series begins, and level-headed Barbara (Valerie Bertinelli), a year younger. Even though Ann pretends to be liberated and secure, she's always treading the line between her former, deep-rooted dependence and her newly acquired independence.
About Silver Spoons: Even though he is now running his family's multinational toy empire, Edward Stratton III (Joel Higgins) has never quite grown up. An overgrown kid, he lives in a mansion filled with arcade games and toy trains. But when he discovers that his brief marriage twelve years earlier produced a son, Edward faces the responsibilities of being a parent to the youngster, Ricky (Ricky Schroder).
About Gloria: This spin-off of “All in the Family” features the further adventures of Gloria Stivic and her son, Joey. She and Mike are separated and she’s gotten a job in a veterinarian’s office.

@@ecthelion222 we didn’t have social media, many of the social issues were “discussed” or explored through these shows so I think they were quite meaningful, had great influence and consequently were very entertaining. I got my kids interested in some (along with music, when we had the best bands!).

All In The Family would undoubtabdtly be banned today. Actually, the pilot wouldn't have gotten past sponsors, even if the negatives are used to educate or resinate or simply entertain, how bout teach. We can't tolirate the way in which AITF served up truth and that is sad.
