I’ve only been here for a short time since 2022 now, and sometimes it feels like I don’t really belong, but damnit you guys are great at giving somebody like me passion and knowledge to look up to and enjoy.
One of my favourite experiences being almost destroyed in a single round. Just about everything was dead, gravely wounded or a burning wreck. I think this may have been... fourth or fifth edition? I've honestly forgotten almost everything else about the day but I was playing with a friend, borrowed his Ultramarine army and he was playing Orks. I remember rolling well with a Whirlwind and managing to blow up one of his buggies. It exploded and back then, there was blast templates so when a vehicle exploded, it could damage adjacent vehicles or infantry. The blast roles went my way hard and that single Whirlwind attack killed his entire army. Neither of us could believe it'd happened. Allah, as I try to remember, I think it was twenty-something years ago, maybe a bit more.
Well to the plotline question, have already voices my desire to create a little fan fic military campaign involving maccabian janissaries allied with sisters of battle and later on a black templar contingent going to war with a heretical cult that turns out to be word bearers infiltration trying to pull a planet into chaos. So I'd do that if I could head up something like that.

As for chaos.... Id go like the iron warriors and not follow any god, but still use their demons as spicy batteries
