It's so awesome that you got a saw to use and cut some of the bigger things you find! That cherry seam agate looks like a glacier that is surrounded by a lava flow! Excellent stuff! Thanks for sharing!
Who else sees the cattle head at 13:43? It jumped out instantly for me. Maybe I was thinking about steak 😂 I look forward to your videos, they feed my inner rockhound. Im off to the north shore today, who knows what I’ll find along the shore! Usually find a few crappy shell fossils and not much else of any value. Lot of sandstone there. Cheers from Truro!
Oh man that Cherry flame agate greatness! 🔥 Those ghostly plumes are sick! I really really love the stromatolite too. I have some just like it but on a way smaller scale lol. Great stuff! Cant wait to see more. Congrats on the new saw and everything else amazing that you're doing. Loving it! Cheers🙌
Spectacular slabs from what seems to be a high quality saw. I didn't know that you had such big pieces to cut. The fun is just beginning! (I notice that you've been calling the tree pieces conifers rather than cycads. Did you discover something new about them?)
I believe there is a mix of species there from that period (early Jurassic), but it is difficult to tell since they are limb casts and the wood grain is completely gone.
I have a brand new made in the USA Barranca Diamond Highland Precision 24" slab saw with the made in the USA blade. It's the cadillac of slab saws. It's for sale in New Brunswick. I'll be at the gem show this Aug in Parrsboro. I won't have the saw but I'll have lots of pretty cabochons for wholesale prices. Gem Hunter Acquisitions booth. Hope to see you there.
I have to say the new highland park saws are top quality. The cuts i get with the high performance blade allows me to start at 800 grit on my polishes.
I am extremely happy with the 24" so far. It is a quality machine. Definitely a great choice if you are looking to graduate to the next level o equipment in lapidary.
@@RockhoundingLife yes that’s my plan , have a 1acre lot up fir sale I don’t need and will get a better set up when I do … I’m in Kentucky agate country. Fortunately I’m close! Found a great agate yesterday I put it in a short today from yesterday s hunt
@@RockhoundingLife I agree 100% thanks I have shorts channel I just started five weeks ago .., going back to the creek in a few minutes our water level is low so I can get to places I’ve never been able too found several agates yesterday Kentucky here!

Wow super nice! Is the Highland park the way to go or do you have other preferences as well in the slab saws?

Those Treerock and Cherry slabs are too beautiful to cab. Should just polish them as display pieces.
You are probably right.
all i can say is wow.
what is a conifir?
It's a type of tree from the Jurassic period.
for example pine tree, juniper... redwoods.. are conifer, many evergreen trees are.
