WDCB Jazz Series - Angel Melendez and the 911 Mambo Orchestra: El Pollo De Carlitos

WDCB 90.9 FM, Chicago's home for jazz returned with its free Thursday Evening WDCB LIVE Jazz Concert Series beginning with Grammy-nominated Angel Melendez and The 911 Mambo Orchestra Thursday, July 25 at the MAC's Lakeside Pavilion.
Grammy-nominated Angel Melendez and the 20-piece 911 Mambo Orchestra, complete with vocalists and multiple rows of brass, will perform an array Latin music from the modern tropical sounds of today to the most traditional hard-hitting Mambo of the '50s. The Chicago Tribune says, "Whenever a big band can produce great blasts of sound without sacrificing technical detail, audiences are in for a thrilling ride."
