Why are synthetic voices used so much in videos? Well, cost, of course. But they give themselves away invariably, with pauses and pronunciations that a human wouldn’t have. And the same voices are used again and again, cropping up repeatedly in all kinds of videos. I find it really irritating.
this whole video is irritating..Very amateur with many repeating pictures...voice overs that are talking about different rooms etc etc//had to turn the sound off
The lack of depth/info on Letterman's younger days is staggering...I am his age, and would like to know one important thing--how did David avoid being drafted, during that nasty Viet-Nam era? I, along with hundreds of thousands of guys my age range, was forced to either join up, or face being drafted!..How did he avoid that situation? It was a waste of two years of my life, for sure!
That word in the title was why I clicked on this and that is why the would be monkey that uploaded this put that in there, if it's not there....prk forsure if it's not mentioned somewhere in the vid. I'm not listening to the whole thing to see if it's there.
Hard work eh? My father worked in a Chevrolet Foundry where in the summer the temperature was well over 110 degrees. Dad would come home with burns on his trousers from molten iron splashing on him from the kilns. Not to mention that Dad did not make millions and millions of dollars and live the life of an extremely wealthy entertainer. What did Dad deserve...actually millions and millions of reality dollars with emphasis!!!
My father was a frequent guess on The Regis Philbin Show in the '60s on San Diego's KFMB television. Dad was a pastor who accentuated the positives and hope. Pops was trusted friend and confidante of many of Hollywood's elite. It was a real "hoot" when some of them phoned our house to speak with him. Hey Pops, I think Bob Hope is on the phone for you. Regis, always upbeat, was always kind & attentive to me, just a little kid.
Remember when he announced on TV he cheated on his wife and the audience laughed as they thought he was joking but the truth is he did cheat and a man was trying to get millions from him or he would expose this betrayal in his marriage. So David outsmarted him at a cost of course and beat him to the punch. I can’t remember but I think the guy was arrested for his attempt at extortion.
His best work was "Late Night (with David Letterman)" on NBC , from 1982-1993. The quirky humor of his show gradually but steadily declined after he went to CBS, in my opinion.
April 12th is the same day I was born. Great Day WSBT so stunning how does one have the time to enjoy these spaces? Walking into homes like this are beautiful the elite surely know how to live.❤ Wow the colors of the condo so beautiful 😊 the red car 🚨🚗 who knew David has been so influtional who knew..
Why does he like " looking " so old? That white Santa beard. He could look younger like Jay Leno. Fortunately he maintains his wonderful smile, but you might have to look for it.🙄
Good presentation, thanks. But, please try to find film transferred to video (now digitized) and video clips that have not been BBCed (Blown-up, Blurred, Cropped) that young editors easily do via “click to fill” when they have 4:3 Aspect ratio material and they want to fill the 16:9 frame. When that is done they are taking standard definition material and degrading the resolution to substandard definition, usually resulting in a blurry mush when viewed on a television (compared to a small computer screen). They are also altering the carefully composed framing by the historic cinematographers and videographers. Cropping also results in overly large/blurred images that are missing picture information at the bottom.
And remember, David had to undergo a bypass surgery...heart problems do run in families...My dad, and his brothers all had heart issues...Two of his brothers died from heart attacks...but my Dad did have a tripple-bypass, and lived to be 82, I am 78 now, and have had two procedures--Aortic heart valve replacement, and an ablation procedure, to stop an erratic heartbeat. If lucky, I might live a few more years. Modern medicine is awesome.

I find it so confusing on a personal basis that these high profile successful individuals worth millions and millions of dollars appear to be so out of touch with their claim of liberal beliefs. First how much money is needed to sustain a successful life and have incredible wealth as a reserve. Why is it then that they do not choose to dedicate these millions of dollars to those who lack any taste of that lifestyle where they have enough money to not worry about feeding their families, or heating their homes and having adequate transportation? I ask this to be provided an explanation that seems logical while negating the appearance of outright conflicting values on the part of the extreme wealthy lifestyle...

The script is intolerable. Sounds like a running adjective filled sales pitch. Like spending time with a realtor on speed. Could not make it to the end. Jock sniffing celebrities is a waste of time.
@@ruarifinn Sure! Musk actually produces a product that must sell based on its quality. Not sorry but this Country thrives on capitalism and is the difference between your personal living style and that of extreme third world countries.....
The narrator made some very careless mispronunciations they're easy to look up. The video editing was atrocious images didn't always match the narration in fact often times we're laughable. I've been a voice actor since 1957. And a video editor from 1967 to 2004. The sloppiness in the video editing was so apparent. Whoever produced this thing should be ashamed
This is a crock. Dave doesn't have dementia. You can see him often on Barbara Gaines online show. They don't have s real narrator and they don't have a real story.
Bac in the mid 70s he had a short lived NBC daytime show...I saw him rip apart a "gopher" in the hallway in front tof the studio because his coffee was not done to his liking. Since then...I have never liked the man
People n family’s suffering everyday from that damm disease, you should be sued by letterman at least........you did it to get more clicks,it’s dishonesty at its best....shame on you
David Letterman was one of a kind. Love that guy :)

Sorry to say it, but l think the only "Dementia" in this story is suffered by the uploader, if he's even human that is.

I was going to complain about that too. There was no discussion of dementia, it was irresponsible click bait
David Letterman truly deserves this lifestyle after years of hard work and entertaining millions

When he was on the air, I taped his show each night with my VCR and watched it first thing the next morning... for years.
I did too, back in the late 1980s
From the Philippines we missed you 🇵🇭

Now playing Santa.
Good for him. Very few people would have the courage to stand up to a blackmailer. That was real gumption.
Hi Dave! Wow your living large and it looks good on you! 💪💀🤘Thanks for being you and thanks for sharing! Merry Christmas to you and your family!⛄️🎄🎉🇺🇸
I loooove his mansion! But why only 9 bathrooms?
Brilliant summary!

Another AI generated piece with false information, including about the East Coast mansion. The same segment was used for Jay Leno.
I think he still lives in montana!! These ai AI,'s want us dumb down and brainwashed they want us lock downed playing games ,condition ing us!
His multi-million dollar mansion has...wait for it.....a powder room AND a walk-in closet! FFS I'm blown off my feet!

None of the photos are, as allegedly shown, Letterman's residences. The narration doesn't match the photos. This is just a bad video.

You screwed up the call letters on Letterman’s first job.
David sure does look different with the Father Time's baby brother beard.
"WBST"? *LOL* ...the picture itself as far as Ball States's radio says, "WSBT".
Seems like someone just took real estate sales text and read it. Most of the pictures look like a house not lived in, but for sale.
I wouldn't want a house like that if I had $400 million.
I agree 100% with “dogsnark” ….. wish I had written that comment!
He earned all of this but the video sounds like a real-estate add.
add is short for addition.
ad is short for advertisement.
Indiana wants me but I can't go back there!!

It’s poorly written and padded with verbose nonsense.
