  • 灰水就是草木灰水,天然弱鹼水,是用滾水浸泡草木灰之後,過濾出來的淡黃色水水。

    中醫上把草木灰叫做“百草霜”(又名鍋底灰),能止血涼血,消積,清毒散火。
    用草木灰水做粽子,是古老的方法。清代《廣東新語》:廣人以山蕉豆枝或黃花苺,燒而沃之,而熬其灰以為鹼。熬深則成沙,曰鹼沙。
    熬淺則成水,曰鹼水。以鹼沙為角黍,光瑩而香。以鹼水浣衣,去油膩色轉鮮好。
