Spoilers for the movie about the beach that makes you old: The beach makes you old. 17:57 So apparently the reefs blocked whatever thing made them age faster that was coming from the metal/stone of the cove on the beach. And yes they figure this out from the note from the kid (who was the son of the resort owner). What really pissed me off though, like you said, is the fact that 1: the little boy is just conveniently really good at math and secret codes and 2) that they wait until it’s just the brother and sister left for him to FINALLY reach in his pocket and find the note that the owner kid gave him BEFORE the family got taken to the beach. They had SO MUCH TIME to decipher it.
Holy cow, that Dad fight was incredible. I don't know if I've ever seen the health bar go down so quickly. And I love that like 80% of this video was just a giant rant/recap of Old lollll
fwiw the movie is based on a comic and the ending reveal of the science lab doesnt happen in it - the actual comic is genuinely so dreadful and a little more psychologically fucked up... worth checking out
I will say, I have watched Old and it is a *bad* movie indeed. To anyone who loves bad movies then you'll love it. Be it as it may though, this is barely hitting the tip of the iceberg when it comes to truly bad movies. Now I love me some so bad they're good movies. Due to it being March, I'm rewatching the Leprechaun series and I do recommend it to anyone reading. There's some good ones like the first two. Some very very bad ones like Lep in Space. And then there's Leprechaun in da Hood (no I'm not joking that's the name) which is just a treat from beginning to end. Regardless though the whole series is a series that exists
Thanks to your videos and teachings I just cleared 32 heat first time trying it out. Shattered Shackle with Hestia made the run a walk in the park. Thanks you legend ! And back to the topic at hand, holy smokes, what a run ! That dad fight was freaking amazing !
I just watched Leave the World Behind on Netflix. While I wouldn't put it in the same bucket as Old, I found myself very dissatisfied when the end credits rolled.
Actually genuinely curious to see an "all ice" meme build , possibly with Exagryph and just try to spam chill effects for the detonations. As for the bad movies question at the end, yeah reminds me of when a friend and I sat through 28 weeks later. 28 Days was bad enough, but Weeks just had so many unbelievably stupid moments not the least of which was how the outbreak got started in the shelter at the beginning like WTF.
Common arctic blast theoretically doubles the damage of an unpommed common crystal beam (iirc, dkd the calcs once before but dont fully remember). This is assuming glacial glare has no internal cooldown on chill application.
I think it's because a lot of bad movies don't take themselves seriously or you can just feel everybody having fun on set. 'Old' doesn't have that kinda feel to it
It drives me nuts when movies establish their own "rules" and then immediately break them. M Knight Shyamalan made like 2 awesome movies in the 90s, and everything since then has been a soggy turd sandwich.
for some reason out of nowhere i started getting almost straight rare and epic, basically zero normal / non-rare boons. i swear it's some kind of bug, and it's breaking the game, making it way too easy. Anyone else ever had this happen?
Evil Dead is a great movie... i think i watch Tarantino saying good things of this movie on YT and i totally agrees. Classic horror movie that makes the character baddass on the sequel with chainsaw on his hand and a serrated shotgun on the off hand. The tv show is good and i see some videos of the game that looks fun to play.
That movie is based on a french comics which is honestly not really good in its execution either. I never saw the movie so i dont know if its worse or the same
Ok from the comments it seems like they tried to explain why people get old, which is just stupid. In the comics, its not explained bc it doesnt matter. This is just a premise that allows the author to explore his ideas about the meaning of life and human interactions. The author explores sex, racism (badly bc its written by a french white man), etc. It doesnt mayter why people are stuck, its not that kind of story at all
Stygian soul mirror upgrade means his cast recharges. Each cast has an individual cd of 3 seconds which starts even while yhe beams are active. Thats why you can stack them sk much. The auto reload hermes boon does technically lower the reload cd as well, but its not by too much, i think its .25 seconds at common rarity.
Yep, totally. Just some feedback from my experience. I personally just got into the game and I’m loving it. Your videos have been super fun to watch and learn from. Thanks for all your work.
THE BEACH THAT MAKES YOU OLD IS A REAL MOVIE?? I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST A BAD MEME
That's the Homer Simpson description.
So they took the plot of a wonderful Stargate episode and made a bad 2h movie out of it.
Seems legit.
it's quite bad you're not missing out much by not watching it
Based on a far superior graphic novel.
@pumbaa667 Nah, its an adaptation of a book.

the beach that makes you old
i went to the beach that makes you old. i got old.
I just watched Leave the World Behind on Netflix. While I wouldn't put it in the same bucket as Old, I found myself very dissatisfied when the end credits rolled.
I feel old now because I remember that movie coming out and how everyone was confused why this movie even existed.
The build above all builds
this but with lightning phalanx is pretty sick too lol
Everything Everywhere all at Once is the best movie I've seen
That movie where the beach makes you old is one of the best bad movies I've seen. It's so funny
Thank you for continuing to make Hades content. I also enjoyed your Spiritfall 1.0 video! Much blessings

Hoping for that Cruel Thrust run before Hades 2. 🔥
that health bar just melted away. gotta love it :D
That movie sounds so ass lmao

@22:18 was that the Pyre logo drawn with crystal beams??
Loves the beach movie roasting, I hated it too!

If I may ask, what allowed him to recharge and throw out his cast so often?

Super confused how does Achilles spear give you more cast damage?
It's on the description: 150% more attack/cast damage.
69K damage for the beams in the final fight is just that little cherry on top of this run
why ignore frost flourish all run? +60% damage seems really good?
No use empowering my special if I'm not gonna use it
THE K DOT ?
That was seriously impressive 👍
This looked super fun lol.
What on EARTH is that outro 😂😂😂😂
Omg. Formidable
22:30 time sap. Stop talking about the move. out
old movie bad
I’m really interested in the game. I’m not at all interested in the movie commentary.
Imagine expecting someone to still just talk about the game after 5 years and 700 videos on it. 🤦♂️
