My cat has me trained so well , that she gets "Room. Service " too !! But I have had her as my companion for 20 years already , and she is my world. And I absolutely adore her. I am so glad that she is still Happy & healthy even though she is a Senior.! She makes me very happy , every day !❤❤
Omg!!! This is my life! 😂 I have a 14 yo chihuahua and we are all just living in her world. At 8 pm, I get herded into the bathroom to start getting ready for bed. At 8:30 pm, I am reminded that it’s time to wind down and commence pre-sleep snuggles. By 9 pm, it’s time to burrow under the covers and arrange the pillows. At 6 am, I am awaken by kisses to get ready for walkies. If I try to roll over, I get a couple of paw smacks to the chin. And don’t even get me started on the ways she’s got her daddy trained. 😂😅 Senior chihuahuas are THE BEST!!! 🥰😍
Daisy is a senior chihuahua with love and a little attitude!! She loves her parents!! They Take Care of her every need!! That's what you do for the seniors!! That's what I do!! You look after the elderly whether human or animal!! Daisy is a Delight!!❤😊
It's hard to believe and (clears my throat) admit that such a wee tiny Chihuahua can wrap you right around her little paw and make me a babbling idiot who will gladly bow down to her every wish or want 😂
Chihuahuas are absolutely amazing! They are opinionated and have unique personalities. But you can’t help but love them with all of your heart. I would have as many as my house would hold if I could.
@@peace-and-quieti sent this video to family & friends because this video is exactly life at our house with Queen Pebbles JerryDeen, the light brown chi. 😊 And the story is the same, too... she's the dog my husband & I didn't realize we needed.
Had the same thing with a long legged blue Chihuahua. Best dog I ever had. Smart, easy and cuddles like a cat cause he gets cold. He’s 12 and hanging in there.
She's a senior she deserves everything you are giving here and she is soooooo lucky that you guys are her parents ...she gets to live out her golden doggy years as the queen she is! Videos like this make me smile. Well-done 🙂
Yep, I haven’t slept more than 2-3 hours at a stretch in years. I have a senior miniature schnauzer that also has to get up during the night for the same reason. It took a while for us to get on the same schedule (aka her training me to HER schedule) for bathroom trips but I wouldn’t trade my Bossy little old lady baby for anything. 😂❤
I’ve had to completely change my sleep schedule bc of my senior dog. I adopted him 4 yrs ago & about 2 yrs ago he developed dementia. So he sleeps a lot but he’s up an all throughout the night. I tried crating him but he no longer understands the crate & keeps trying to go somewhere even though he’s just bonking his head into the side of the crate. He also has diabetes & is blind so he’s got to eat on a very specific schedule so he can get his insulin. So it ended up that what works best is breakfast at 4:30am & then I get to sleep till 10-11:30 when he gets up to go to the bathroom. Then I can go back to sleep till 1-2. And that’s my sleep schedule now. Nothing I’ve done to change things has worked, so I just gave up. We dont have much time with him left, he’s declining pretty quickly, so I’ve accepted this is my life until it’s time. Unfortunately this is a risk you take when you adopt a senior but I love them so much. The last senior I adopted (who got me hooked on senior dogs), was healthy as can be until she suddenly wasn’t, and then she was gone pretty fast; but we had her for over 7 yrs & she was my baby. When I adopted Toby I hoped it would be the same but unfortunately we only got 2 yrs of health before he started having a lot of issues. I don’t regret it though. He was the most difficult dog I’d ever dealt with, but he lost his previous human when they passed away, and somehow whoever had him afterwards dumped in in a shelter; overweight, balding & stressed. He needed a home to spend his final years and even though he’s been hard, I’m glad I was able to give him the home and love he needed.
@@Sukijopa crates can actually be really helpful if used properly. I wasn’t a fan of crates for years bc I saw my step mom keep an energetic puppy in one for most of the day (fortunately when my parents moved she went to an active home w/ a huge yard.) That being said when used responsibly, a crate can be great for the dog. Like it’s a haven for my sister’s neurotic dog during storms, and keeps him from hurting himself and creating havoc. I would totally use it for my dog if he didn’t bang his head into the side in confusion, bc the alternative is what he does do, which is wander aimlessly while crying & getting stuck behind a dresser or between my bed and the wall, getting tangled in cords. He also looses his balance at night & almost forgets how to walk, so he’ll pancake and then cry bc he can’t get back up. He has to constantly wear a harness & I have to hold onto when he gets really frantic & he screams. I’ve tried holding him with me in bed, but he tries to wiggle away, & if I were to fall asleep he could srsly hurt himself jumping down. He’s not allowed in any high places bc even though he’s blind he’ll leap without thought & has bruised his entire chest before. He’s old, I think a bad fall might do him in. My options and ability to calm him are finite. (I’ve tried meds but they cause him to loose all ability to walk & becomes so disoriented & confused that I’m unwilling to do that anymore.) I think being in the crate at night would be a little safer for him. Dogs aren’t humans and don’t see a crate as a cage, they’re den animals; and if crating is done properly, it’s like a den.
Daisy is just like a STEREOTYPICAL human senior citizen. Up before the sunrise each morning. Why? Because she is not going to let the sun win! Early Bird dinner around 3 p.m. or so. Not just because it's cheaper. It (somehow) makes good sense. Then off to bed, again before the sun ends its day.
I love this family and having been the mom to a chihuahua for 17 years (she crossed the bridge in March) I know what it’s like to have your life run by one. And I would give anything for one more day of that.❤

My Squishy the baby black pug called all the shots. She knew he wanted dinner at 3. And sleep was at 8 with a serious night time regime. I used a tiny night light so as not to disturb this precious darling. It was my pleasure. A month ago he had a minor surgery to remove a tab on his eyelid. His heart stopped for 3? Minutes and that was that. I am beyond distraught. I have 4?grown children I adore. Grandchildren and I cannot overcome my heartbreak. I loved Squishy running the show. I’ve received over 50 notes from neighbors who just adored my sweet baby boy. I have a broken heart and miss his routine. I guess getting beyond this grief takes time.
