Thanks for the positive feedback Gents! We do need to mention that it's not necessary to cut the support bracket off to fit it though. Would you mind adding a note to your video please?
I installed my Trackslag downpipe about 4 weeks ago. You didn't have to cut anything off it. I removed the Exhaust bracket and Turbo bracket on the car. And didn't install the 02 sensor until after I push the pipe through. Then I installed O2 sensor by hand and tightened with wrench. Then install other parts once Trackslag downpipe already through.
@@bakozubski Exhaust Bracket mounts to the Original Downpipe Exhaust, is has 2 screw holes. TrackSlag Keeps those same holes. Turbo bracket is a flat bar on back of the turbo, one bolt to turbo other to engine at the bottom, that's it. I removed both of those brackets in order to push the Trackslag thru without cutting anything. Once you push it through, you can try to squeeze the brackets thru the spaces and bolt them back up with the Trackslag downpipe already through. The Exhaust and Turbo brackets are just there for added security and stabilization. I ended up removing them completely and never installing them back.
@@bakozubski in the video they cut off the Mounting Flange on the Trackslag downpipe. Cause they couldn't get it through the opening. You don't have to do that, if you unbolt the 2 brackets I mentioned. And don't install the 02 sensor until you push the pipe through the opening. Then you can install everything. You do not need to cut anything off the Trackslag Downpipe.
I was directed by the owner to cut the piece off. This would have been a piece of cake with a lift but that ground clearance gave us little to work with and see.
@@tredfxman Yes, it tapers down to a three inch but comes off the turbo with a 4 inch diameter, allowing for top end gain and a little more throttle response. it tapers down a half inch two times if you look closely at the welds in the video. Thanks!
This one doesn't have many cons really because it tapers down to meet up with the 3 inch part of the rear exhaust components. The benefit comes mostly on bigger power potential turbos. This is completely unnecessary on a stock turbo or is38, but if you are running larger then that, you will see gains on the top end.

What's the bracket used for on there?

What was cut off doesn't appear on other MK7 DPs so I wondered why it was there in the first place

Hell yea that 4 inch is sick af !! Might have to swap the 3 inch
He said it feels much more smooth going from the 3 to the 4 inch. Should get like 20 wheel up top
@@ImJibby what brand did he go with for the 4 inch

Hi, i've got a leon cupra with an is38 and was wondering if the 4 inch down pipe could be good on it?
Great now I wanna upgrade my apr dp 🤣do u obd2 inspect where ur at? Apr has been the only one on a stage 2 that don't throw a cel for me
What benefits have you seen going from a 3” to a 4” downpipe? I’ve been thinking of doing this as well.
Top end power that your seeing the most benefit. Especially if your a big turbo.
By installing a 4” pipe into the existing exhaust system, does it improve the performance of the car ?
Yes, some throttle response and top end power to be recognized.
@@ImJibby What i wonder is how did that 4 inch dp fit a 3 inch catback. You must had some junction that went from 3-4 that you didnt show right?

He left home this weekend. I am thinking about washing her up for him! Lol.
what is the exhaust setup on this gti, is it just the downpipe and oem exhaust with or is it downpipe with aftermarket exhaust or resonator delete
Exhaust is aftermarket, I think he said it is topspeed or prospeed, something along those lines.

How long does it take to arrive after you ordered it?
We got this in like 6 or 7 business days.

Sold and gone.
Where did you get he 4inch downpipe
It is called Trackslag I think, no idea where he got it.
Will a 4 inch Down pipe fit on a is20 ?
it should, its a 3 inch vband with a 3 to 4 adapter coming off of it.
3" downpipe is all anyone would ever need.
gained 40 wheel on the top going 3 to 4.
What turbski you rocking?
I think he's rocking a Vortex xl
Dyno results?
Will likely being doing a new dyno test on it soon. He has been sorting out a small boost leak!
is this mated to stock catback?
It is not. He has been through 3 exhausts since this video LOL
What alloy wheels are they?
Those are Neuspeed Wheels
8:30 🤣obviously

I can do that!
Bigger isn’t always better you know
In this case it is. The nice thing about this downpipe is that it is tapered down to a 3 inch opening so you can slip it onto any aftermarket 3 inch.
