Hi Alba love the vlog and Manny is getting so big. I did the Henna too for a while but it only deposited color on the gray hair and the rest I was only able to see the difference in the sun. I stopped using it because I felt that my curls were getting too soft like it was loosing the curl pattern a bit. I wish you a merry Christmas to you and family.
Alba can you please tell me which water filter you guys use for your shower and for your consumption... I know you have mentioned it before but I don't remember! Thank you!!
Henna works really well for dying the hair over time, doing a weekly or bi-weekly treatment will redden it over time (it will show in the sun) and it will strengthen your hair and make it grow in the meantime !!
You apply it on clean hair. You have to take hot water and mix it with the henna, cover it, and leave it sitting overnight or all day (12 hours) to activate all the active parts of the henna. Then, you would apply it like you would a deep conditioner and let me warn you that it runs, stains and is extremely messy so I would do it overnight and I would make the mixture as thick as possible. Also I would strain the mixture because I have really really curly hair and I'm getting pieces of henna out of my hair like a week later so I would strain it. And once it's done I would do a moisturizing deep conditioner to add some moisture back in. It sounds like a lot and like a hassle but it's well worth it when it comes to how well it strengthens the hair.
Also, you will be washing it out for a while. It's really coats the hair so it takes some scrubbing to get it out. You can just rinse it all out and wash your hair as normal.
Henna takes a few applications for it's true color to show Alba. Even then, you'd only be able to fully see it in the sun. I dyed mine with a burgundy in mind but still looks black. But in the sun, it looks beautiful! It's like a mysterious Burgundy that matches my eyes in a weird way LOL #Love it. FYI: OIL treatments is a must the 3 first weeks; otherwise your hair gets dry and breaks due to the intense protein from Henna. Learned that the hard way.
I also dyed my virgin hair with henna. Give it two days to settle in and you should see a difference in the sun. Also the more frequently you use it the more the color is imparted and you will see a little more color. It's not a drastic difference but the reddish glow will/should be more noticeable. Miss the vlogs by the way but it's understandable no need to explain.
He knows some basic things like numbers and greetings but we do not enforce it because our focus is not to teach him another language right now until he is more comfortable communicating verbally in the language he already knows. we fear another language may add more pressure on him and delay his speech more so we speak it to him without pressure to learn it unless he shows interest or ask about what I'm saying you know...

Hi Alba! Since I'm in the beginning of my hair journey, finger curling eventually leaves my hair straight and the curl completely loses shape (when dry it looks like a deadlock). Are you against slicking hair back in the very beginning in a bun for example until you get new growth? Not sure if I should let the hair breathe on its own, but I also don't know how to make it look presentable. Thank you!

-_- LOL! Your hair didn't hold the color because it's very dark, it might give you a highlight in the sun but that's it. The color you were pointing at was what it would have turned out like if you had blonde or bleached hair prior to dying it. ...You could also try pure henna powder to see if that sticks more of the hue your wanting. It's got A LOT more staining power then the Surya hair dyes. I've been using it for a couple years & it's awesome! I would recommend trying either The Henna Guys powder, or Henna Maiden powders by Henna King
Use Yemeni henna, trust me u will get the burgundy/red hair colour. Basically its a powder u mix it will water. Then u keep it on for 3 hours depending on how red u want it. Hope this helps. I have tired it and it came out beautiful, also its NATURAL.
be careful with henna!!!!! it damages some people's curls , 😰, my sister used it and it made her hair super soft but after a while of using it her curls got looser and got damaged. hopefully it agrees with your hair/ everyone's diff. good luck 👍🏽

what a coincidence. i just hennaed my (virgin) hair on sunday. i use the jamila brand of henna. you can order it off amazon or get it from a southeast asian grocery store. idk how long you left it on your hair, but i left it on my hair for 5 hours and the color took
What do you use in Manny's hair? His hair is very similar to my nephew's and when I try to use my Shea moisture products in his hair it weighs it down and makes it greasy.

hello sunkiss alba i wanted to tell you that if you wanna get the red tint color from using henna you must use the real green henna poweder you mix it with olive oil and water leave it closed with a cloth on top of the container that the henna is in... then put it on ur hair till morning and wash it next day .. try this every week once and ull get results in a week and it will make ur hair extremly healthy like u never seen ut before

You should try the natural hair dye by Lush,
Make sure to get body quality henna. Those other hennas have metallic salts in it and can react badly with any other dye you try in the future
