      The progenitors of the triple axe attack. If you like Mike Olivieri’s voice you have to give the Soul sign album “Life in the dark’ a listen, cause he provides the vocals on that. Carey and him are still a helluva pair of axe-slayers.

    I met their vocalist, Michael, today while I was in work. Absolutely top man whom was out with his family in the horrible Irish weather. I said I would look them up and after doing so, I have concluded that their music is great :-) plenty of depth to it which you dont get with a lot of today's music.

    You may think and be jealous that you were not born in the past to hear great heavy metal like this, but I find it better being really young and discovering the past, where music like this hit big and the hair was bigger. For those who have not discovered yet, I hope you will someday. Someday, you will hear your "calling" and there's nowhere to run.

      A.O.R THE ARMY OF ROCK Today's "Metal" is to dark and angry sounding to me. And what is up with that screaming
      or growling shit-is that supposed to be musical? not in my book, can't even understand what the fuck they are saying.
      Worse Yet-Hardcore Gansta Rap-The person/ people who came up with that SHIT, should be executed at next

      muthafuckas. And it is the shit garbage noise that is partially the reason why there are so many fucked idiots in todays society. Fuck Rap, and fuck you. Get the fuck out of here if you want to speak of rap

    • @EgoShredder
      @EgoShredder 8 лет назад +3

      +rbagel55 The original soul and spirit of Metal is what is missing from today's Metal. A lot of it just seems very manufactured and contrived, which too much emphasis placed on being more detuned, distorted, heavier, faster etc. Where are the great soaring passionate melodies and tasty overdriven tube amp guitar sounds? Also it is not a crime to have some tasteful and clever keyboard parts woven into Metal music. What passes for melody these days is too simplistic and dull.

    • @johnbradleyheck8058
      @johnbradleyheck8058 7 лет назад +3

      EgoShredder You are so right my brother. Frontiers Records resurrects bands and signs bands trying to evoke that special sound and all is so artificial. You cannot reproduce an age, a zeitgeist that was a period of inspiration devoid of self- pity and crappy modern drugs. I didn't worry about anything other than partying, chasing women, getting high, and just having a great time. So, enjoy the best music by buying the stuff from the eighties and early nineties !!!🎸

    • @EgoShredder
      @EgoShredder 7 лет назад +2

      One really great band from the early 1990s onwards was Talisman, who were fronted by the amazing singer Jeff Scott Soto of Yngwie Malmsteen Rising Force fame. Check out their albums from the first one onwards. The later ones were not as good in my opinion, but the early ones had that 80s sound and spirit to a large degree.

    Signed bands in the 80s and early 90s had to deal with terrible record company’s that would just put them on a shelf and use them for tax write offs and ruin their careers. They would put you on bad tours and not promote your records then drop you from the label a couple years later claiming you didn’t sell enough records. People think that once you got signed you were “on your way” but the truth is, that’s when the true struggle would start.

      I still prefer Iron Maiden with 2 guitarists, Janick Gers doesn't add anything to the band in my opinion.

    I agree with all who say this is real metal; unlike that garbage they try to pass off as metal today. I was in my 20s in the 80s and had the opportunity to see many live metal acts. Glad to see there are so many of you out there who think for themselves are don't buy into what record executives say we should like today. Maybe with enough of us out there, this type of great music will return.

    This is awesome! Frickin' Paul used to HOOK ME UP with my drum sound at the Troub. (Back when i was with Lucky 13) People thought I was GOD cuz his drum mix was so damn good. Thanks for the GREAT sounds Paul!

    Crazy!. At shows, Rockers, Phx AZ around 87. Halford there and he jumped up on stage with them. Being a guitar player, jammed out in the parking lot acoustically and singing along with many who weren't ready to end the night after shows. Did that many times and it was an incredible time and place. Phenomenal bands, partying, beautiful girls. Just awesome! Man, I'd give anything to relive those nights.

    Пусть говорят, что глэм-рок это попса в рок-музыке... Не соглашусь: такие группы смогли вывести металл из андеграунда в массы, вдобавок сделать из этого шоу, на которое люди стремились попасть и платили за это деньги. Я считаю, что любая работа должна быть оплачена, а если это хорошая работа, то хорошо оплачена. Я прекрасно понимаю, что глэм-рок, чисто коммерческая музыка, но.... здесь люди платят не за внешние данные, а именно за "продукт": шикарные, запоминающиеся мелодии, шикарный звук, отличное шоу+хореография+многоголосье у исполнителей!!! Поэтому эту музыку хочется слушать и платить за неё

    So I'm all excited to watch an awesome Leatherwolf video and before it starts I have to watch some crap pop/rap whatever music ad. Kinda ticks me off but I shrug it off. After the ad I'm all pumped listening to this great song and then I look over to the side and I see an ad for Justin Beiber and some other lady. Not only does it ruin the song but probably my whole day. I wish RUclips would have ads that relate to the video that is being watched and not not all the mainstream popular crap.

    In 1 week, the Missouri River Expo takes place in Bismarck, ND.
    How appropriate, that I get the chance to visit this song/video, at this very time - as it was the Missouri River Expo back in the late 80's/early 90's, when the carny controlling the *THUNDER BOLT* ride, played this very track. Being a little kid then, didn't think much of it.
    But being an adult now, every time I hear this song (or watch this vid), it takes meback to that moment in my youth - riding the *THUNDER BOLT* at the Missouri River Expo, back then.
    Thank you to *Leatherwolf* , and thank you to that carny who played this.. as it's stuck in my mind for so long, until I finally found the band/song/video. \m/

      I agree it's a shame, but remember, they're still able to play for people who actually care about their music, when's the last time you saw wham? or boy george or the po(Ifuckinghateyou)lice, etc., actually able to tour where anyone really gave a fuck? Just remember that.
