The progenitors of the triple axe attack. If you like Mike Olivieri’s voice you have to give the Soul sign album “Life in the dark’ a listen, cause he provides the vocals on that. Carey and him are still a helluva pair of axe-slayers.

I met their vocalist, Michael, today while I was in work. Absolutely top man whom was out with his family in the horrible Irish weather. I said I would look them up and after doing so, I have concluded that their music is great :-) plenty of depth to it which you dont get with a lot of today's music.

+rbagel55 The original soul and spirit of Metal is what is missing from today's Metal. A lot of it just seems very manufactured and contrived, which too much emphasis placed on being more detuned, distorted, heavier, faster etc. Where are the great soaring passionate melodies and tasty overdriven tube amp guitar sounds? Also it is not a crime to have some tasteful and clever keyboard parts woven into Metal music. What passes for melody these days is too simplistic and dull.
EgoShredder You are so right my brother. Frontiers Records resurrects bands and signs bands trying to evoke that special sound and all is so artificial. You cannot reproduce an age, a zeitgeist that was a period of inspiration devoid of self- pity and crappy modern drugs. I didn't worry about anything other than partying, chasing women, getting high, and just having a great time. So, enjoy the best music by buying the stuff from the eighties and early nineties !!!🎸
One really great band from the early 1990s onwards was Talisman, who were fronted by the amazing singer Jeff Scott Soto of Yngwie Malmsteen Rising Force fame. Check out their albums from the first one onwards. The later ones were not as good in my opinion, but the early ones had that 80s sound and spirit to a large degree.
Leatherwolf has been my favorite band since back in the 80s when I first heard them. My favorite song is Thunder. It has some wierd-ass lyrics! This band is awesome!!
So good to hear Hard Rock still being delivered in a traditional, but fresh style. Dig the tune very much. Be looking forward to the album, & stoked to hear Mike Drive's voice belting out the goods. Always been one of my favourite vocalists🤘
As A Music Developer this song got me into playing guitar and made me become a professional Electric Guitarist today. Here's me trying to track down vinal and cassette tapes like an privet investigator and you ancient one's had this type of music on the daily radio, im 92 born by the way, you oldies had it good with music.
Signed bands in the 80s and early 90s had to deal with terrible record company’s that would just put them on a shelf and use them for tax write offs and ruin their careers. They would put you on bad tours and not promote your records then drop you from the label a couple years later claiming you didn’t sell enough records. People think that once you got signed you were “on your way” but the truth is, that’s when the true struggle would start.
Fortunately this was my hometown band and I got to see so many shows from backyard parties to opening for Queensryche at Irvine Meadows. What incredible talent these guys are still to this day.
I'm also from Westminster and Fountain Valley, HB living in Arizona, first seen them live at Mile Square Park battle of the bands, was blown away. So I'm all excited to watch an awesome Leatherwolf video and before it starts I have to watch some crap pop/rap whatever music ad. Kinda ticks me off but I shrug it off. After the ad I'm all pumped listening to this great song and then I look over to the side and I see an ad for Justin Beiber and some other lady. Not only does it ruin the song but probably my whole day. I wish RUclips would have ads that relate to the video that is being watched and not not all the mainstream popular crap.
In 1 week, the Missouri River Expo takes place in Bismarck, ND. How appropriate, that I get the chance to visit this song/video, at this very time - as it was the Missouri River Expo back in the late 80's/early 90's, when the carny controlling the *THUNDER BOLT* ride, played this very track. Being a little kid then, didn't think much of it. But being an adult now, every time I hear this song (or watch this vid), it takes meback to that moment in my youth - riding the *THUNDER BOLT* at the Missouri River Expo, back then. Thank you to *Leatherwolf* , and thank you to that carny who played this.. as it's stuck in my mind for so long, until I finally found the band/song/video. \m/

Killer band outta SoCal that can STILL rattle the foundations of ANY arena!! Been a Leatherwolf fan since 86' I got to see them with STRYPER at the Universal Amphitheater back in the day....I wish they would make it to TN. now, I wouldn't miss it!!
The hair the guitars the chorus the melody its all in one potent mixture of a good rock music that last a life time..not a bearded tattoo fat guys in bald head that sings growl and emos in a clown clothings and gimmicks..
Awesome tune! I saw a vid of these guys from Rocklohoma a few years ago and they were on the side stage in the middle of the day and there weren't many people. It was a shame. They are very good.
I agree it's a shame, but remember, they're still able to play for people who actually care about their music, when's the last time you saw wham? or boy george or the po(Ifuckinghateyou)lice, etc., actually able to tour where anyone really gave a fuck? Just remember that.
One of the BEST UNDER rated heavy metal bands to ever come out of the 80's.......PERIOD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One of my 2 favorite bands of all time \m/
My 5 year old daughter and I are rocking out to leatherwolf! let the head banging commence!!
Vinyl Puppy Power!!! Holly Crap!!! Just went through an old, rediscovered, "memories box" with a ton of LeatherWolf stuff. Flyers from keg'r party days to a print for the Queensryche Mindcrime show @ LBArena...Couple of shirts, some stickers, stacks o' pics of shows & parties... few choice poloroids :-P... "F" free love SanFran 60's... I'll take a replay of SDR&R OC/LA 80's Debauchery Anyday... I felt lucky to be alive for it, & grateful to have lived throught it.
This band is awesome.
leather wolf kicks ass one of the great metal bands of the late 80s
No your wrong, actually they suck ass. "And you know this man"
terry mcclure they were really good .underrated at that time .

Never heard of this band before. When was this video released? Looks like late 80's early 90's era.

great bad ass rock track.

One of the very best metal albums and bands of the era they were completely underrated and absolutely fucking phenomenal.
