Oh thank god, I was worried the card might be underperforming
Urabrask always underperforms hehehehe
Like this comment to feed Alex more guacamole
But... I want to go first occasionally!
I love how guacamole has become a Spikefeeder thing
The G is silent but that Gee fortunately is not!
THANK YOU FOR FINALLY DOING URABRASK!!!!! SPIKES YOU'RE THE BEST!!!
Jan made a pretty good go of it eh? Glad you liked it!
What surprises me the most about Nadu is the fact that above all those things that happened in this game, he is 3 mana 3/4 flyer. He could be a 0/1 ground creature with defender and this would still be as broken as it is now, but in case you mess up somehow, here is a reasonable attacker and good blocker. It's so pushed it's kinda funny.
"Well you see, they didn't have time to test him after they changed him. Oopsie doopsie, we promise to not do it again (for the 7th time in 3 years)." - WotC
@nathanwiens108 they make mistakes and that's fine, what bothers me is I assumed this was a pushed and highly tweaked card to see modern play. It's a 3/4 to avoid bolt has a 2 times clause not a one the lands come into play untapped. Then they tell us no it's just thrown togeather on some recomendation of casual play with the original version being a boring but ok commander.
I think Aaron could have even targeted Dryad Arbor with that Sylvan Paradise and had an even bigger Turn 2, it all feels so gross
Love to see Aaron in videos again. He’s the man!
Aaron is THE anti-hero amongst the Spikefeeders for me.
Aaron has a nice, subtle sense of humor
i think the urabrask should have use its remaining red mana to flip urabrask while he is nearing the end of his storm then targeted the nadu player to deal 3 damage to the player and all its creatures just to slow the nadu down, when urabrask flips alex couldnt targeted urabrask with winds of abandon coz urabrask is an enchantment, returning to the urabrask player giving him treasures. could have been a greater game i guess, but any way great video. more power
If Alex would have overloaded the winds of abandon at 14:52, instead of only hitting urabrask, I think this game becomes significantly more interesting.
Agree
Bill showing his age referring to it as LAYERED combos 😂
Like this comment to employ the doohickey
The postgame wrap is incredible. I love burrito splendido
Cant believe Jan completed the comeback. What a finish
What did magus of the blood moon ever do to you guys? He's just a little guy.
😂
postgame wrap is soooooo clever omg
Jan, that Nadu flip was tough in response to the Magus was tough. You hate to see it.
That Urabrask deck looked sick, though. I might have to investigate further.
That was an honest man's Guttersnipe
Postgame burrito wrap-up! Hell yeah
Love all the set focused stuff but I miss the cedh stuff as well. I only play casual edh but cedh is a lot of fun to watch!
... have people in this pod never played against Nadu before?
Jan fizzled and the likelihood of him somehow clawing back was very, very low. meanwhile, leaving Seeker ... well, you saw what happened.
I love Alex's shirt! A part of me imagines that he wear like business clothes in his everyday but gets to buck wild playing commander
I started the video, paused as soon as I saw Alex's shirt and made a very similar comment. Hell yeah
Anyone else notice when Aaron said not to flip urabrask?? The flipside would have destroyed Aaron's board...
Completely irrelevant to the gameplay, but I love Alex and Jan's shirts
I love the art on these old cards like Sea King's Blessing and Sylvan Paradise 👌
If I ever go to Winnipeg, I will be sure to stop by Burrito Splendido and tell them Spike sent me.
24:50 I haven't seen Alex's list yet but collector ouphe would've shut down shuko and any other artifact targeting stuffs since equips are activated abilities of artifacts
The list is posted in the description, and he does run Ouphe so I was also surprised to see him get revoker. Another option would have been an anti-etb card like doorkeeper to stop thoracle or the scute triggers. But I think Ouphe would be the safest
@@AnticlimacticPangolin Maybe it didn't cross his mind at the moment when he was tutoring or he needed the colorless pips from his sol ring since he was stuck on like 3 lands the entire game and didn't wanna shut himself out of the extra mana? Only Alex knows but tbh I feel bad for him and Bill since they really didn't get to do a whole lot
He definitely runs ouphe but i think the plan was phyrexian revoker naming seeker of skybreak as it was the only nadu enabler on board when he tutored. It’s also flexible enough to stop shuko if necessary
Aaron, love the double earrings, not sure about the bird though. ❤
that mindbreak trap though
Burrito splendid is, in fact, really good
Post game WRAP?! Amazing. I am feeling very much like those Gamegenic bastions after that game, SOLID AS A ROCK!
Urabrask is my favorite deck. I would have flipped him to wipe Nadu, but my build is designed to flip aggressively and proliferate to flip back
Also, Jan is my favorite. Please keep playing stormy, spellslingery decks :D You are amazing
18:12 well given the title I'm pretty sure Jan is not winning this one
Like this comment to enable more burritos to be fed to the crew.
Oof, Jan casting Mana Vault with his floating red mana, while having an untapped Mana Crypt in play. Otherwise great showing!
Good to have Aaron back!
26:28 don't give me that look NADU player...
;)
That mind break trap was most unfortunate for Jan 😂
Hell yeah, Alex's shirt absolutely rips
I don’t think I’ve ever seen an episode where aaron isn’t sitting where alex is seated. Its jarring.
Was Aaron locked in Jim's attic or Bill's basement?
Good to see Aaron again!
I am getting back into CEDH after a pretty long hiatus I'm glad I don't have to deal with Nadu in modern but I don't know if I'm looking forward to it in EDH
Would like to see a bria riptide rogue deck with otters, even though she’s probably better with more cantrips than otters.
There was 0 chance for three of these decks imo. Great folks and fun watch regardless!
I disagree completely I think the spikes just played horribly. The threat assessment was just very off. The urabrask player somehow discards gamble to faithless looting instead of casting it and finding an underworld breach to spin infinite wheels. The jetmir player somehow does not overload his winds of abandon when it literally was the perfect time would've completely hosed every other deck at the table and puts him so far ahead tempo-wise. I think if they played better it could've been a much more fair fight and interesting game.
nadu could havae gone of much earlier with the sylvan safekeeper
Anyone else get thrown for a loop when Dryad arbor goes from the land line to the creature line about 8 min in?
i would like to see Aaron pilot Tymna/Jeska
Can I please request Jim play his Aetherlich deck again sometime soon. That deck was incredible to see played.
Aaron's face at 14:43 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Fun video, great edits!
Commenting before the end of the video, but I have a feeling not flipping Urabrask at 13:20 will be a mistake
EDIT: Yup haha
Fun game. Very good decks
Me and all my homies simp for Aaron
Powerful game 👌🏼
Why do you search the lands from outside the decks?
We don't -- we just cut out all of the searching and shuffling.
Didnt expect Nadu to win... sigh
This title is so funny oml
Targeting Urabrask was bad move. Nadu should be bullied to be unable to cast
love that infect/poison counter hat. can I get that on a t-shirt?
Thanks Nadu
jan got mindbreaked 😭
I'd like to put "weeping for Jan in the comments" on the stack....😢
@Jan ❤
I've heard that the original templating of Nadu had the Nadu trigger if an opponent targeted a creature you control and gave your permanents Flash. They revised the card to what we know and love today because they thought Flash was too much!
I played too much Modern to enjoy this game. Not because of the company, but because of the bird.
Holy hell I can see why they banned it in certain formats 😂
I see Nadu, I click the video, I comment that I am turning the video off because I absolutely dislike to see Nadu in any games and then turn the video off. Love for you anyways, chill dudes. Beep-
Do more cedh content!
nadu aka gods mistake
Nadu says is only triggers twice but he drew 3 cards... Am I missing something?
Nadu gives the targeting ability to each creature Aaron has, not just Nadu. So each creature can be targeted twice per turn to get stuff off the top of the library and since he'd targeted 3 creatures at once he got 3 triggers
Nadu give each creature the ability, so each creature can be triggered twice per turn.
Nadu is a soft twice per turn, aka twice per creature.
skipped to the end, no surprises. Why?
Finally?
Today, on RUclips: this person learns what a joke is.
@@CrownlessStudios that's good for you.
@@TheSpiritombsableye oh, no, did you think YOU were making a joke? Pointing out someone else's punchline is not a joke. It's just mindless chatter.
I got to the point where i just automatically concede to nadu on arena brawl. Its approx 50% of commanders since its release, and is incredibly boring to play vs with each deck being basically identical. It's not particularly good, just very boring and insanely slow. Needs to be banned in brawl also.
"it's not very good..." It's a Tier 1 cEDH deck with the best conversion rate in the whole game. Doesnt get much better than this.
@@avall0nNn1992 brawl is not the same as cedh. In brawl nadu is just ok.
Zzzzzzzz Nadu is so damn boring to play against
It isnt a nadu trigger its the creatures own trigger
Nadu doesn’t trigger, but it’s still a “Nadu trigger”, as in shorthand for triggering the ability that Nadu gives. That is clear to all players at the table.
DestroyerofFunAtParties
Yes, that is why disabling Nadu wasn't even considered.
What was allowing Aaron to continue Targeting his creatures? The shuko?
Shuko has an equip cost of 0. Equip targets, so it can activate Nadu as much as you want (limit 2/creature, landfall makes a mockery of that already pathetic restriction).
@@Sheer_Falacy gotcha. Guess I could've googled it lol. I just wasn't sure I spelled Shuko right.
