This is a great video. A lot of adjustment videos don't tell you what points you are connecting and not connecting. Thanks for this!
Thank you so much ,no one showed that extra for the side dart .They usually just draw it in .
This has helped me to understand how to account for the longer length of the front bodice by using the side dart to take up that extra length to match the shorter back length at the side seams. And you get extra shaping where you need it! Thank you for demonstrating on both the waist length bodice as well as the hip length one. For a beginner to pattern drafting, you have helped greatly!
Best tutorial on the bust dart. ❤🧡💯💯
God bless you MA, today I have learn something that has been taking me time to. God bless you
Thank you. The tutorial was clear and straightforward, easy to understand.
Thank you!!!! Finally someone answers my questions!
Thank you....it's clear and easy to understand 😘 Love from Sri Lanka 🇱🇰
I always wondered how the bust dart was created or how to get gathers to the front of the neckline..busted my brain trying to figure it now.
Now I know.
Thank you
Thanks, Francisca. You're the best.
Thank you Cisca

You are simply amazing, you just made it so easy
I tried the side dart. Loving it!
U tried this exact method?
WHAT ABOUT THE CENTER FRONT LENGTH IT WILL BE 1INCH LONG IF YOU ADD THE ALLOWANCE ALL THE WAY ACROSS
thank you so much. Nice job. explain very well 👍
You are a wonderful instructor
Thank you Cisca I needed this and you made it so easy
Thanks for this video, pls is it that 1" for side bust dart we are going to use for bust 40 upward?
Thanks for the simple illustration
Thank you for the tutorial,Won't your half length be longer at the CF after increasing it by 1 inch? (the part on fold)
Yes it will...but that won't be an issue.
Yes i thought so too. I guess you need to temper it to zero at the CF.
Thanks for the tutorial.
@@tobim4ever possible to the apex point. Good observation.
Thank you! Very good and simple way of explaining.
Thanks..I really needed this.May God you
Wow very understandable
Thanks you so much this was very helpful
While trying to make the sides balanced, the middle section has become longer
Thank you so much for this video. But please I have a question . When doing this side dart, do I need to slant the side end of the bodice length?
This was so very helpful and very well explained! Great job and thank you!!!
This was incredibly helpful, thank you!

Thank you❤
Show cutting and sewing pls
Thank you very much
Very good video! Question: what if you want to alter a pattern that has no darts; for example, a top or blouse. You want to add only a horizontal side bust dart.
The question is; how do you determine the depth of the dart? Is there a standard amount for B cup, C cup, etc.?
Also: what do you do about the length of the top or blouse? Add about 1 inch to the front and back just as you showed in this video?
I love side bust darts because they enhance the fit of garment. Without darts, a garment has ugly folds of excess fabric from the bust point and going down to the waist area.
Thank you for this. But won't the length of the centre frot be more than the side since the dart is different?
I have the same question
I really needed this.thank you beautiful 💕
Hi Cisca. Very helpful.Am wondering, since the side/bust dart is added at the bottom of bodice to replace the side that will be folded by dart ..What happens to the 1"extra inch on the CF side of bodice without dart along the hemline?Wont it be 1 inch longer?Do I need to cut it out or it's ok to just leave it.Thanks..
I was wondering the same thing, not to mention if the the fabric is pulled what is the result to the center front seam? Will it be too tight at the front waist and what about the extra on the sides? Although the side seam can be adjusted a lot easier being there is more fabric. Happy Sewing! Thanks
@@michiganmike5761the best way to replace it
Is to come out from de armhole
I don’t no how to explain it
Thank you
Thank you,it was helpful
How did you get the 1.5 side dart
I just love your way of explanation. Nice teaching. Thanks. I've watched it again and felt I should say thank you for making it very simple to understand.
This helps when you are copying the pattern of a ready made top that has a bust dart.
Thanks so much
How do you determine where you mark ur side dart, eg, you use ur niple to niple to determine ur waist right?
Yes l have
Thanks. How do we achieve the down part of that dress
If there is a side dart in front bodice how to make adjustment to the back bodice
The length can be made to meet the front. The back doesn't need side dart.
Thank you Cisca Stitches.
Thanks dearest sis, it was very helpful, can you do other dart manipulation when chanced? Thanks 🤗
Yes of course!
I like you india
I just don't get it who put unlike on others video😓
