    That jet that day passed right in fromt of me while on final. Looked so clean and new. Very excited for the rest to start arriving.

    According to the above descript the AF intends to use the F-15EX with a single pilot. Why burden the pilot when they could have a 2nd pilot aboard to operate the many systems for fighting?
    Otherwise, a beautiful aircraft.

      Just my guess -- the Oregon ANG has an intercept air defense mission that can be handled by a single pilot. If air-to-ground and other advanced targeting options are used later, I bet they will go to a 2-person crew.

      Pretty much all of the first batch of EXs are going to ANG units to replace F-15Cs. Rumors are that down the line F-15Es from the active side will get replaced by EXs for the 2 person crew multirole mission.
