- Hollywood is in mourning following the tragic death of Chadwick Boseman, a silver screen superhero and real-life hero to many. The "Black Panther" star passed away at home surrounded by his wife and family following a private, four-year colon cancer battle. There was just something...different about Chadwick. He had this air about him, like he knew a secret he wasn't sharing and smiling as he watched everyone around him try to figure it out. This type of grace and presence that's beyond words. To know that he had been battling with cancer while providing us with some amazing performances, incredible. The avengers need to come to life, and rewind the clock. Such a beautiful human lost.
Whilst battling cancer, he was not only creating movies. He was also supporting children, and a strong advocate labelled a king across not only the African American community, but the entire world.
Even when people spoke ill of him for how much weight he had lost.. he remained humble, and followed his dreams. It goes to show that you never really know what’s going on in somebody’s life.
He spoke with great respect, elegance, and humbled power. We can all learn many valuable and powerful lessons from this mans existence. To stay humble, and love.

i'm sadden to hear of this great actor's passing. he was great in 'black panther'. its one of my favorite films. i just find it hard to believe that the colon cancer started at stage 3 and they weren't able to do surgery to remove it. i should know, in 2006 i was diagnosed with stage 3 colon. they were able to remove the infected colon from my body. i'm thankful to have survived my close call with cancer. RIP chadwick boseman.

Crazy, I have cancer, am 43 and was diagnosed 6 years ago. Started at stage 3 and went to stage 4. Brutal surgeries and lots of chemo. Same as him. Tons of respect for him to be able to do what he did while dealing with a horrible disease. It's not just the surgeries or chemo. Cancer does lots of weird things to the human body. It's hard mentally, spiritually and physically and he didn't give up. Not a fan of super hero movies but this man was a super hero for those fighting cancer.

Trust me when I say this about some people living with Cancer privately even to family members. Its kept Private out of sentiment fear of being treated differently including denied privileges, job promotions, others who's healthcare providers deny coverage to pre-existing condition clients. Sure there are people who are opened about it but at the same time there are people who live in fear to tell and worse people who refuse to see a doctor and just let it be until they die.
