I don’t think we’re supposed to take that literally. I think it’s a way of Claudia trying to control her life at that time she wanted to be referred to as “sister”. Jacob has said in recent interviews for s2 that Louis sees Claudia as his daughter. I think it’s going to be addressed in s2. Even in s1, Louis calls her his daughter in Dubai present day scenes.
Yeahhh I kinda agree, didn't watch this show at all bc I've read all the books about 100× and this ain't it. Too much was changed for ridiculously stupid reasons. Wish they'd have stayed true to the novels.
