But that's not the efficiency of the motor itself. The fact that you don't know basic electrical concepts such as copper loss (I squared R) should tell you that you're out of your depth on this argument.

There's I think a growing segment of anti-Tesla EV fans or just dont want to buy them for a number of reasons, whether that's vehicle design decisions, hatred of Elon, cars on the road (and lack of ability to stand out), the way Tesla runs their company, or whatever and visa versa on "legacy" auto that even on Korean brands turn a lot of buyers off. Cost obviously matters, but there's so much more especially in the so called performance segments.

I very well remember the podcast with johnny and matt farah couple years back, where johnny was advocating for Tesla saying they sell more cars than audi merc and bmw combined etc. etc. all the fan stuff that people bring up and needed to get a reality check on the numbers. People constantly describe tesla as the best brand out there meanwhile they sold what? 6 mil cars in their whole lifetime? Volkswagen AG alone sells 10mil cars a YEAR, When does this fanboy behavior stop with all the false claims and bullshitting about tesla? They promised Robotaxis for NEXT year a whole DECADE long and not too long ago elon said it again. When are u guys waking up and realize that they are a absolute horrible company?
