He ain’t lying! I can only find neutral if I’m rolling up to a stop. If I’m already stopped and want to find neutral, it’s not happening. I’ve rented a bunch of street glides and same story with all of them and they had over 10k miles. My bonneville, no problems.
My slim does the same thing. I've heard if you adjust the rod it will fix it. I just pop it in neutral as I'm still rolling right before I stop. Works every time
Been riding for 25 yrs +. Mostly sport bikes both for the street and track. Even had the racing reverse clutch on the track/race bike. Never in my life did I struggle to find neutral in all that time. Fast forward to last summer, bought a 2021 Heritage Classic. First Harley and first cruiser in my life. From the moment I left the HD dealership I have struggled to find friggin neutral. This is ridiculous. WTF was HD thinking? I have seriously pondered selling it and going back to a Japanese cruiser or Sport Tourer. It has taken the joy/drive out of me to even fire the thing up on weekends.
check your primary chain tension, adjust your clutch at the clutch hub, lube the clutch cable and make the final adjustment at the grip and use amziol in the primary and the gearbox. I just put amzoil gearlube in my 2002 bmw gs gearbox and now its shifts as good as a japanese bike!
08 heritage classic, neutral its there, but shift like soft or half a shift very sensitive for sure. I have owned this ride since about 2018. I have a veteren harley friend he says first thing he does to ALL his harleys is swap transmission to a Baker trans..$$$$$$$$
Its all about the pressure of your foot and rocking a little. I don’t use neutral rarely but ride safe. If you understand transmissions you could make it go in easier but thats a whole different story…
Seems to be an issue across the board. I have to rev the shit out of mine to get it into neutral. Or if I'm feeling lazy I just turn it off in first gear and then switch to neutral. Pain in the ass.
The street bob 114 different story cannot find 2nd gear lol. It wants to go from 1st to neutral. I found a trick with mine is to go 17mph instead or the recommended 15mph to shift to 2nd
Lots of bikes do this. Especially older models. Any bike where it's hard to find neutral all y'all gotta do is just rock the bike forward n back just a lil bit... If the KLR guys can figure that out I'm sure Harley guys can too 🤣
Same problem with my brand new heritage. I’ve had it to Harley twice thinking something was wrong with the bike. Glad to know I’m not alone!
I agree. I got 2023 Breakout 117, the same problem . Very rare that I can get it in neutral.
A brother of mine had the same problem so he just went and got a new bike 🤣🤣🤣🤣😂

It's all about pressure on the gears...move the bike forward and back a lil... it will slide right in
Try Redline with Shockproof. The smoothest shifts I’ve had on an HD.

I hear you!!! Just shut it off & put it in neutral..

Heel shift works for me every time. From Arizona ✌🏼
They shift just fine if the clutch is adjusted properly.

I have the same issue with my '09 fatboy
Get a forward control. It helped me

Rented a 2022 Harley road glide for 10 days. It was extremely difficult to find neutral on that bike. It's not just you.

My Fxdwg (Wide Glide) does the same thing. The shifter has to be positioned just right then tightened down. I hope that helps us both President 🫡🪶
I have a 2000 ultra with the same issue...I'm thinking mine is just age though
