Story of an applicant that got his STUDY PERMIT REFUSED. Today's video features the REAL LIFE story of an applicant from India who had their study permit refused twice, even with the help of an immigration lawyer. WHAT? He had a strong Statement of Purpose Letter and even promised to pay if he does not leave Canada at the end of his stay. HINT: If first you don’t succeed, get an immigration lawyer.

I only have two points to add in - GCMS can only be obtained by a resident of Canada, so they may need to use a third party to request for it and give them a consent because of personal info act in Canada. Yes you are right - using a Lawyer really don’t guarantee an approval! Same with consultant - it will only lower the risk , pag nag offer si lawyer at consultant ng guarantee then it’s a scam! :D pero for consultant - I dont think they charge u per application - they have a retainer contract as far as I know, so depends on their agreement with clients din. I think that’s part of their code of ethics or regulation. Kaya bago ppirma basahin mabuti ang agreement mga 10x :D
Omg! Thanks for adding that very useful info! You’re absolutely right, GCMS notes can also be requested by Canadian citizens, permanent residents and people currently residing in Canada.
It’s true that nothing is guaranteed, but risk can be lowered with the help of an immigration lawyer or consultant. Choosing between the two depends on the severity or complexity of the person’s case. So it’s up to that person to assess which one will fit their needs! 😜✨

This case was just absurd, the visa officer was absolutely unreasonable here. I'm glad that the applicant won :D

I could not agree with you more. Good thing the applicant challenged this decision at the federal court otherwise he would just have another refusal on record (makes it harder for approval if reapplied the 3rd time).
Quick question i just wanted to know what do you mean by one of the reasons in his GCMS was because he didn't provide an IELTS result? did you mean that the school he enrolled in required IELTS and that he took an IELTS exam but didn't submit his results or he really didn't take an IETLS exam? sorry for the question.
I have a doubt, if I want to come to Canada to study for a 2 year masters and then apply for a PR, wont that mean that I intend to stay in Canada. Won't my study permit then get refused since the officer will believe that I will not leave Canada after my studies?

In short, that shouldn’t be a problem especially if you meet eligibility requirements for EE. But it is in the discretion of the officer on how they view your intentions in coming to canada.

I did mine DIY and just got a refusal last night. I'm still waiting for my GCMS notes though for the specifics. Then general reasons mostly point to my POF (which is more than enough of what is required for and my family. With solid assets and stock investments). Which is why I'm expecting unreasonable refusal points on my GCMS, hence thinking of appealing right away
Hi! I have a doubt.. I got refusal for fall 2020. According to Gcms report they mentioned that my course is not reasonable and not seems as a genuine student. Now I m going to apply for may 2020 as I m biology student completed my high school and got LOA in fitness and health promotion. The immigration officer was so wrong
And this law that you will not leave canada should be addressed
They should deposit some amount from student if they suspect that the student wouldn't leave and keep the amount if the person broke the law and stay illegally
Canada is highly advanced they can track if person is illegally staying they should deport those rather then cancelling student visa on suspicious

Hi Jasmine, you would need to calculate your CRS score to see the full picture of where you stand in terms of getting an invitation for PR. You must also meet the min requirements for Express Entry to submit a profile.
And if your score is close to the recent round of invitations. Then it’s possible 👍😊

Check first if Your school requires you to take an Academic IELTS exam or if they accept General test as well. Those are two different types of IELTS exam.
Academic is usually taken when applying to study in Canada
General is usually taken when planning to immigrate in Canada

Hello, Study permit was refused twice in my case, indicating 1, Will not leave Canada at the end of stay 2, The program is not related to my previous studies and experience.
I took GCMS not and then I changed program, University and Province. And do you think are they help me to get SP?
That’s really difficult to say for a youtuber like me. 😂 That’s why, if you notice in my video - I highly suggest to first seek a lawyer to do a complete assessment on your application and refusal. The lawyer will then advise you on things to change in your new application that may give you a higher chance of being approved. 😊👍 if you’re uncertain on how to go about it, I think that’s a sign to seek legal help 😊 I just can’t give you advice bc I’m not authorized 😊❤️

Ohh it really depends on the complexity of your application. But it starts at $1,500
*However, lawyers charge crazy expensive fees I believe!*
Yes they do, but it's better to entrust your imm application that may change your life than entrust it to someone not authorized to handle your application... OR there's always the option to DIY too :)
