I keep asking myself how a mind of an immigration officer works to say that he is not convinced that the person will leave Canada in the end of her study permit, like... he is speaking about something the literally you have no way to PROVE, you can give your travel history, an impeccable travel history where you obey by the rules in every trip you have made, you can even prove you have money enough to sustain your stay in Canadá for the period of 2 year even without working, you can explain your intentions with your study plan... and still they come up with this: I am not convinced. So what can convince him/her? It makes no sense... the person is applying for a study permit, it is that simple, she has proven A to Z her intentions and still refused?! The refusal letter should come with the explanation of why he is not convinced, how she didn’t manage to convince, state the reasons, otherwise to me it just shows that the officer didn’t do his job properly. It’s what we used to say back home, there are employees and employees, some are bad and some are good irrespective from where they work.

My young brother he applied 2 twice and got rejected for the following reason:
      1. they think he is not genuine student
      2. Not enough home ties.
For the 1 reason all his life he was studying only completed his Olevel, As level and Alevel. After completing A level he applied for the program in canada. There is no study gap even. Thus I dont know what is in going in VO officer mind saying not genuine student
For the 2 reason we have showed our business documents, country land, and our real estate. Seriously what else can I show in home ties. This are very stupid reason they mentioned.

Ya immigration has become a well established business...they want money at every single step for instance if someone gets refusal... Caips note has to be applied by them which also cost some money and moreover turn around time for notes are too much in this case what students will do... along with this IELTS also comes with validity which is expiring...☹️

Hi, Rachel. Thanks for these kinds of videos; these segments make your channel different from other channels of the same content. Keep going! Anyway, I’d like to ask for your opinion about my situation: I’ll be resigning from my current post in our University to pursue a Masters of Education degree program in Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, which is a DLI. I’m planning to take the DIY route since services from agencies are really pricey. Going back, since I’ll be resigning from work, it won’t be possible for me to get an employment letter; thus, making it hard for me to prove my ties in my home country. This is what bothers me now. Could you advise any other alternatives that I could submit to prove ties?

Congrats on furthering your career with TRU. I heard great things about that university. You are taking the first step in improving yourself through your education and eventually your career. That is awesome!!😁
I am not a lawyer and I can not provide you with legal advice.
Besides employment, there are other ways to prove that you have ties to your home country. Such as family, business, home, or other investments.
It is always helpful to prove your ties with documentation.

hello Rachel, greetings from Dubai, I hope you had a fantastic new year! I really like your content and editing skills, it keeps me interested because I am also applying for a study permit. I've LOA but the pressure is now on when I found out that my 2 kids also would need a study permit. Apparently, the school district at Victoria, can't provide LOA if I can't provide my study permit. I am in a ping-pong situation. I really don't want to separate our applications because I don't want to leave them here or apply for permits one after another because my husband would also join us later. It might just complicate things...do you have any advice or anyone who went through the same type of application?

In your opinion, could this document qualify also as a "Home tie"? the loan is under my name, and of course I have to come back to pay it. In addition I have two j1 visas from the US which I respected, and a valid C1 visa which allows me to go back as a crew member for Carnival Cruise Lines. I feel I stand strong with these documents. Hi there! ✨ Is there a specific permit where you opt for permanent residence but want to pursue a study in canada to also aim for the PGWP? So that if ever I apply for a permit in the Canadian embassy, they won’t question me if I would ever go back to my home country since I aim to study there and aim for PR.

One way to immigration is through Study-PGWP-PR Pathway 😊👍
But take note, when you make an application to come to Canada- your priority is to do just that. So if you apply for a SP, your main goal is to study..but PR can be an option afterwards if eligible.

It basically depends on the visa officer's mood. Also why they care if the applicant would return back to home country ? As long as they don't intend to stay in Canada. I know someone who lives in China but originally is from India. His wife is Chinese and he has a house and a business in China. He has no intentions to come back to India where he owns nothing and knows nobody. He's been living in China for 16 years. One agency told him if he writes the truth and says he will go back to China his SP could be refused. Also in China his property is in his wife's name. In this particular case the "red flags" make it impossible for him to go Canada unless he fabricates information.

    Good day!
Paano if nag plano mag student sa canada, let say tuition is 12500 cad a year then plus 10,000 cad for student plus 4,000 cad para sa partner (common law partner) for cost of living.
Sabihin na natin 1.5M pesos lahat po yung peso equivalent ng required proof of fund.
Let say nabayaran ko na yung 1st sem or 1 year tuition fee so magkakaroon ako ng resibo for the payment I made, yung resibo na bana iyon is pwedeng maging proof of fund as part ng 1.5 m na required? Oh yung 1.5 m is dapat cash in bank lang talaga?
Hindi po ba pwedeng yung 1.5 M is in the form of the following:
1.share of stock investment for showmoney(readily convertible into cash naman agad) worth 500k (nakapanganlan sa common law partner)
2.affidavit of support na may 2 sponsor na may 3M in total ( both sponsor is kapatid ng common law partner ko na nasa USA)
    3. Land or Condo tittle worth 3 M (nakapangalan sa common law partner) and this is the condo na tinitirahan namin.
    4.Life insurance with investment.

      Hi Alcatraz,
It didnt mention in this case. But, that is the likely scenario. The applicant did not have an approved visa to enter Canada and her sponsor or friend in Canada must have contacted an immigration lawyer on her behalf. FYI, a significantly high percentage of Canadian immigration lawyers are based in Canada.

For example, if you’re looking to go to BC - you can search Law Society in British Columbia on google and in their website you will find a directory of lawyers. I was refused a tourist visa in 2019 even though my documents were complete, i.e. I had CAD $15k funds proof, invitation letter, documents proving my home ties, itinerary, my travel history to countries that also required tourist Visa like US/Canada/Australia/Europe (yes, I like to travel), and proof of approved vacation from my workplace. This was the very first time I got refused a tourist visa, so I was so shocked. The refusal reason was that I won't return to the Philippines after my intended travel because I didn't have enough home ties. I did some research and found out that the best way to ensure you will get your Visa is through a Canadian Immigration Lawyer. I have suspicions that this is Canada's way to promote more work for their Immigration lawyers.

HOLY, I have mad respect for you! I thought that by living here a couple years now i’ve developed the same thick skin that most Canadians have but I still have a long way to go 😜😂 I’m okay being weak but cozy in my marshmallow puffers for now 😜
Take care also buddy! Hope all is well on your side 💛😊

these officers should mind their business tbh.

Huhuhu it’s their business tho to mind applications but you’re right that sometimes visa officers can be unreasonable with rejecting applicants. They’re human too, I guess. 😅😊

You are spreading more negativity... Really making the aspirats more frightened... Please show the positive side of the too...

If I spread false positivity, it’s a disservice to my viewers bc immigration is not easy. I need to give a balanced view that way people can learn from other cases that are REAL. I myself made mistakes and I don’t want others to struggle in their journey.
Also if you finished the video, the case had a happy ending. So it’a actually spreading more positivity if anything.☺️
