    When traveling to Banjul, the capital of The Gambia, it's essential to engage with the locals. Their warmth and straightforwardness leave an indelible mark on any visitor.
    This video showcases the vibrant streets of Banjul, offering glimpses into the city's daily life and activities. Banjul may not have many tourist attractions, but it offers a lot of meaningful experiences.
    At the 2:10 mark, you'll see a massive boat flying a Turkish flag. This vessel is the power station that supplies electricity to The Gambia, and it's quite impressive!

      How safe is this place to travel especially for an senior woman ?

    • @felipeangel3267
      @felipeangel3267 3 года назад +2

      @@bernadette2722 It depends on where are you from. If you live in a first world country, probably travel alone to a third world country will always be unsafe because you wont take the precautions we third worlders do. Somehow, we are always at risk: in empty places, at late hours of the night, at crowded places...
      But if you happen to meet some locals you can trust you should be fine because you will know when to be aware, which places to avoid, etc

      Hi. I also think that traveling with friends is the best there is. But it is often not easy. There must be a very positive group spirit and each trip must have a leader. This based on my experience :-)

    • @SweetSourTravel
      @SweetSourTravel  5 лет назад +6

      I've been in Banjul for about a year now and I consider the city safe and friendly. The city is small and the visitor sees everything without needing a car. But to get out of the city you have to find a car and a driver, the traffic is chaotic ... Thank you for visiting our channel.
