I like the idea of pretending not to speak English, but pretending not to understand German unless it was perfect / pretending not to understand ANY english at all really is a shit move. Especially since German grammar is hard to get "perfect" when you're a native English speaker. We have so much useless bullshit in our language it's not even funny
