Great project. I will use CA glue with accelerator in addition to white glue to ensure my wooden pieces for the tree stick together. Thanks for sharing and giving the measurements.

I know this video is from a year ago but I just watched it for the 1st time. In the video you glued the end grain of the candle holder to the trees side grain. You'll get a better and stronger joint paying attention to grain direction (side grain to side grain). The screws may not be needed anymore if glued properly, but screws will always grip better into side grain than end grain. The black tree was done correctly, the others were not.

for the weight and purpose of the tree they work fine. the candle holders have very little weight. I agree to watch the grains.

I would have used or will use a drill and drill a hole about a 1/4" deep where the candle sits just big enough to fit the candle.

I have multiple size candle holders and would need a larger forstner bit to do that but it definitely can be done. Thanks for watching.

Did you finish them after staining at all? With lacquer or oil or anything? Or is the project complete after the stain is dry?

What kind of wood are you using? I used fence boards and they warped badly

For Christmas Trees I just used pine. Some of my other projects that use fence boards I do get some that warp but most are at least 15 years old and nailed to boards limits some warping.
