Why use the cone if you’re wrapping it?????
To make a sturdy tree!
Just what I thought. You could probably achieve sturdiness by using thick cardboard alone. It only has to hold itself up after all, it's not like anyone's gonna lean on a piece of decoration.
Great dupe with the traffic cone..I would wrap with material
I’d say for extra durability it should also help with it standing upright but I’m sure you could do it either way

I have to wonder about some of these if you can buy a bottlebrush tree for a dollar at dollar tree which you can why would you want to make one for more than a dollar? Sometimes I feel the crafts for reaching a little bit just to be creative.

May I ask why you used two different types of Mod Podge on the ornaments with tissue paper?
Love the pinecone wreath....so simple and easy. Never heard of buying pinecones though as they're laying in the ground for free (many places, not all).
I've been making tagboard cone trees for years--just a tip--you can totally save yourself the $2.50 and just use the tagboard. Those plastic cones are not necessary! Mine have lasted for several years.
I've been making the paint pour ornaments for a few years now as gifts and decorations. I mix school glue and little bit of water together and then mix into each color of paint to thin it..not too much though. Sooo much cheaper than buying the actual mediums and works just the same. 😉
The paint pour technique she does is not correct... its short term... and I say that because I do paint pouring...
It looks good but doesn't last or hold up
@jenniferalphin1653 do you use a resin sealant because I have been and works great. I made some for kiddos last year, but used modge podge as sealant because they're kids, and so far so good. I just won't give them out without sealing them.
The second project used only one item from the dollar tree. The rest of the items were from other stores and would cost over $20. It's a cute project, but I feel like the charm/necessity of making DT crafts usually comes from crafters trying to decorate on a budget. It would even be nice to offer a cost-effective solution such as going outdoors and finding pine cones and offering tips on how to clean the cones, etc.

I love your show but I don't like those cone trees they look cheap and homemade just a piece of cardboard with a ribbon around it I love more elaborate things that look high end

Love them all( DOLLAR TREE ) . Just a hint next time place your pinecones in the oven to get bugs off. I place mine on 200 for 7 to 10 mins just don't brown too much. HI FROM LUTZ FLORIDA USA

My favorite project was the mirror. I was looking for that style of art in prints this for Christmas and I used to do calligraphy pen art on glass in the mid 70s. Old art crafts are new again.❤❤

I've made paint pour ornaments, but pour the paint inside so they aren't toxic to little people or pets.
I let them drip upside down on a cooling rack over an old box or foil cookie sheet.
I am picking 2.. and 5, 6, and 8. That’s my final answer! And, oh yeah, 4…

I like the pine one wreath the best. :) On the bottle trees - is there a reason why you used plaster of Paris (is that the right word?) rather than paint? Just curious :)

Can I be nit-picky?… it’s a meat or bamboo skewer. There is no such thing as a paint skewer.
I’ve noticed you use way more Flotrol in your paint pours than others do, even the professionals.
My favorite is the trees on the mirror. I have an old mirror that I want to use the technique on. Hope I can make it look as good as yours.
