Very nice presentation. People with neurodevelopmental disorder marginalized and also often misdiagnosed. Many end up in Forensic system and their life gets changed for ever. Thank you for your work.

My whole family is autistic, I am too... but they all have a severe personality disorder, ranging from histrionic to BPD to psychopathy and even schizophrenia and as i have observed my family for 48 years, i realize that autism is the starting point for all those conditions. Autism, personality disorders and schizophrenia are linked and that's why they all share the same characteristics. Those with personality disorders all have some form of delusions, they will ostracized a family member projecting their evil side onto them. That's why there is always a scapegoat in those dysfonctional families.
    AUTISM/PERSONALITY DISORDERS/SCHIZOPHRENIA
    Same neuro-developmental condition
Same enlarge lateral ventricule and 3rd ventricule
    Same serotonine/Dopamine dysfonctions
Same "psychosis" form at different levels
    Empathy problems
Same executive/organisation dysfonctions (some dont) but overall it's a lot of common problems.
Autism is the starting point, but I think we've misinterpreted the data and that, in fact, personality disorders are a milder form of schizophrenia. We say of a narcissist that his eyes turned black when he was angry, it means that he has a transient psychosis, he reinvents the situation, he makes things up, exactly like a schizophrenic, this can't be a coincidence... it's a mild form of schizophrenia.
Not all autistic will be schizophrenic but all schizophrenic are autistic. And everyone with personality disorders are autistic too

RE: Challenges faced when trying to access care, please note that it's essentially impossible to find evaluation and treatment for young children. I can't find anything for my 10-year-old and we're in desperate need.

COVID could hypothetically cause psychosis, it's been known to cause other neurological symptoms like seizures. Plus being extremely febrile could cause delirium. I do agree something like that would only occur in an extreme case. But COVID is not "just the flu", it kills waaay more people than the flu and leaves about 20% of the people who *don't* die with serious complications.

What do you mean? Covid has been shown to contribute to causing psychosis. A number of viral infections can cause psychosis as an inflammatory response of the brain… this isn’t a new revelation, this is OLD news ….
