i would certainly be requesting a new speed controller, i suspected originally one had a less powerful or more cheaply manufactured motor but that's clearly not the case, could always try swapping out for an after market controller ( as long as there very similar dimensions should fit fine there clearly some wiggle room in there for the current one ) there relatively cheap tbh, they can give a big old jump in power and speed, my friend swapped out his one a cyrusher mountain bike style ( cant remember exact model he has ) but he got a big jump in over all power output effectively allowing full use of the power the motor has to offer, as it was defiantly holding back he now pulls along a little bicycle camper trailer which he built him self with some box steel and plywood and some poor mans fibreglass ( paint and cloth dust sheets ) which has a solar panel for like £100 on top and a battery bank inside so he can go on little weekend fishing tips and keep the bike charging up while hes fishing away ect something he brought the bike for in the first place but it just didn't have enough grunt and on paper it should have ... swapped the controller and it pulls it all easily, food for thought
The blue on the brake caliper bolts is "Loctite" (or equivalent) an absolute must on anything brake related ... highly recommend applying it to ALL the bolts and changing any nuts to "Nylock" ... number of videos I have watched where nuts and bolts vibrate loose
New sub. You make geat videos for guys that like to customize and trail ride their ebike! 😎👍I was impressed with your speed on the trail! Glad to see you're ok after the crash and can still make videos. Disappointed with the Cyrusher fork cracking so easy at low speed?! It must be a generic shock? Btw, lower tire pressure will help give better traction in the dirt, but lower your speed a bit. Seeing the R/C planes above you head tells me you know a lot more than you let on. Ive built R/C cars back in the day, and had a few escooters, so have seen how the speed controller can make a HUGE difference in the performance! Not just the higher wattage of the motor. I think a higher amp speed controllers helps with the torque output too? In a video ebike hill climb test I saw, the reviewer mentioned the 750watt motor of the Letric performed poorly like a 500watt motor (based on torque or speed control?). So maybe a lower watt motor can hill climb with a better speed controller than a higher watt motor with a lesser one? It be very interesting see this test done! 🤔
Hi Joe I'm glad you're ok now and got your teeth sorted out and the bike was easy to do and didn't cost too much.. as I said before my kommoda bike tipped up on the side stand does 32 mph I think the labels they used printed are the same and I think the controllers might be slightly different inside depending when the components are available and when they put them together 6 to 9 months difference. not too sure myself but I always wondered if you could put another controller on that 750 w motor a different make what a different company makes. long as the connections are the same. always nice watching your channel you take care regards Dave
I've got the blue Kommoda i'm getting around 31 to 33 mph without me on the bike. With me on the bike on a stretch of the road in the very early hours of the morning with no traffic I got around 28 to 29 mph
@@TheGimpGamer Curious how much do you weigh as that will affect your top speed? Also, do you live in the US? Different variations in US maybe? Thanks
Schönes Video! 👍 Schlimmer unfall, hoffentlich mittlerweile wieder alles gut.
Hi Jo. I'm in the market for new e-Bike and your Cyrusher seems to be a great all rounder. Loving the videos. Very informative. Did you manage to resolve the controller/speed difference issue ? (also: Very glad to see you seem to have recovered from what looked like a very nasty accident)
Hi Robert. Thanks for watching. Yes, I’m fully recovered now. just got to see if my teeth will settle. wont know for a few months if they’re okay or not. The Kommada is a good all rounder. The main thing to consider is the weight of it. Of course, it’s not really an issue when you’re riding it as you’ve got all, that power. However, storage and moving it around isn’t easy. In the end I contacted Cyrusher and requested a new speed controller and immediately said they would send me one. i’m currently waiting for it to arrive. itll be interesting to see how it performs.
Are you able to review & compare the motor controller settings for each controller? I suspect the motor controllers are identical and only the settings are different. (If Cyrusher didn't provide you a user's guide for the controller, you should be able to find one on a Chinese supplier's website now that you know the full model number of the controller). By the way it looks like you should rotate the brake levers to more ergonomic positions. Your on on the left side looks particularly un-ergonomic positioned like that below the grip.
Hi. Thanks for watching and your comment. The available settings for the controllers are identical. Cyrusher provide instructions for the settings that are available through the computer. There is no specific info about this controller on line. There will be a way of accessing the firmware in the controller but that info simply isn’t available anywhere. The brake handles are positioned to my liking.
Hi i have an orange kommoda and mine does around 25 - 26 mph with no rider and about 21 - 22 mph with me on it so i think mine is a more restricted bike similar to your grey bike
Looking at the controller spec, the current is rated at 22 amp + - 1 amp. So perhaps one controller is running at 20 amps and the other 22 amps, but would a 2 amp difference make such a difference in speed? There is a 10% increase in power if that is the case.
To be honest, Im bit of a noob myself. I think you may get more power, however you may need to change the controller as well. its probably not worth it.
@@Everything_E-Bike back to full power and speed then? How are you finding the battery? The bang average capacity (for the price) seems the only chink in the armour of an otherwise remarkable ebike. I hope you are over your injuries now, you took it on the chin more bravely than I would (literally and metaphorically!)
thank you for your sharing, I love my white kommoda as well.

Good job Joe. Very interesting video. Have you done a speed test using the control panel speed changer to see if it makes any difference ?

I think I can change the controller. I had a look and there are adapter plugs on line. I think id need a new computer too match the controller.
@@Everything_E-Bike Yes you would need to install a new display if changing controller - a display that's compatible with it.

Im not sure. Im convinced its to do with the way its programmed.
Have Cyrusher altered/slowed the controller in some way and not letting on!

hi how do you change km to miles on this bike. thanks
It’s not faulty. It’s restricted. You can easily find how to sort it
No, it was faulty. Cyrusher have since sent a replacement that works. 👍🏻
