    Fascinating! We had a tank years ago with a large lump of live rock. I loved hunting for all the little creatures living in the rock. We had tiny shrimps, bristle worms and sea snails.

      Thanks for watching the video! It is crazy, all the little creatures that are hidden amongst the rocks. It is like a tiny ecosystem :)

    very cool, i use live rock and had no idea these could be living in them. I'm not sure I could live with a bristle worm though, maybe it it would look normal enough to deal with after a long time but I'm not sure.

      Thanks for the comment! Yeah, i agree the bristle worms are very ugly looking! I get the big ones out, when i spot them.

      Hello Jim!
      I am glad that you enjoyed the video :) - I have shared a couple of updates on my clownfish aquarium since this video, I have not touched much more on the hitchhikers though, I must admit!
      Here is the latest: ruclips.net/video/yrrqdLxHOIM/видео.html
      As a general update the brittle stars are still going strong and so are the copepods and stamatella snails! The bristle worms have declined considerably, by natural lack of available foods and my intervention by removing the big ones with tweezers! I probably spot one once every few weeks!

    I could handle with most hitch hikers, but bristle worms are a big no for me, so creepy.

    You still have them in your tank?

    • @BigFishLittleFishAquatics
      @BigFishLittleFishAquatics  4 года назад

      @GhostCrisp86 Hello! Yes I do! I only remove the larger bristle worms when i spot them, completely harmless. Just make sure they are ID'd correctly as some worms that may look similar to common bristle worm at first glance are dangerous to your fish or even molluscs.
      Thanks for watching the vid.

    A pressure cooker on three minutes would have cleansed these rocks.

      True, but it would have also killed all the good stuff too, I am perfectly fine with the hitchhikers :)
