People either love it or hate it! Everyone is different but we feel it’s a cool option to have.

SaltwaterAquarium yeah I could see that. Would be maybe cool to mix black and white so it will become black and purple. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I was worried the back sponges on my rock was a bad thing, glad it’s ok

I wouldn't be too fussed about the colour if you are having to be careful with cost. The colour will likely change as the tank matures. At some point you are likely to get something called coralline algae which will cover the rock with a purple colour, unless it's covered with coral anyway. The role of the rock is important here and I would prefer to get the "balance" right rather than aesthetics regarding colour.

I use branch and tonga against the back wall of tank. two of thme are holding up and arch rock that i can place corals on. Being I dont have a par meter I wonder if you can use tonga place vertically against back wall for corals. I was thinking of using those for zoas and mushrooms. What is ur take on that? Not to brag but my rockscape is gorgeous using this and I got it dirk cheap from a private person that literally lived about 2 miles away with a brute trash can 50 lbs live for 30 bucks full of bacteria balls as well!! They in a sump for 20 more!

Hi there. What is your oppion about adding fish before light? I still cant decide. I use dry rock and marine pure blocks and spheres to help the bactieria

Fish don’t need light to survive, but we need light to see them.

@@Saltwateraquariumdotcom thank you, that gives me time to wait for the new coralcare 2020 lights and still build on the aquarium with fish load

I mix both dry and love rock in about a 70 to 30 ratio.
