I had one of those. My wife stole it for sitting down to fold laundry in the basement. Then she said I could have it back and my son stole it and has it in his bedroom.
You could probably take the old seat cushion to an upholstery guy and have him repad it for you. I bet it would feel great with some of that CLC foam, like you have on your knee pad, in the seat cushion.
Can you adjust (decrease) the spring on this? I see a pin on the bottom, so thinking I could remove it and maybe...turn back a spring? Thoughts? (The goal is to be able to lower it without sitting on it).

hahah its nice rolling chair. When used on flat somewhat smooth surface. not grate on a rough driveway

The clc foam would make a good cushion for this seat. Yet for 20 bucks this chairs ok factory. Hard to buy 5 caster alone for 20
