Atiyah A she is still under SM. After she posted her frustrations about SM on instagram last year, she got into trouble. They agreed to disagree and she got clearance to put out this mixtape. The music and videos are all Amber and her friends hard work and free-time. SM didn't put any money or resources to this. If you listen to Amber's track 'Get Over It' it's about the SM situation from last year. She and Luna had an SM Station release in January called 'Lower' and Amber performed at SMTown in Dubai earlier this month. I hope this helps.

When I first started to listen to kpop I stumbled on a video of amber. I saw her and I was like there is something about her. I didn't know what it was. Just something about her called my attention. It turns out that she had this beautiful voice and this beautiful heart.

I truly believe Amber could make it in America with her voice and her music style.
Also, I'm sure Amber is not doing this to be recognized. She does this because she has the opportunity to get her "voice" out there and "help/support" people she does not know, but she does care about.
She probably doesn't even know how big of a difference she is making but just look at the views, look at the sells, and look at the comments/post that her fans make. That's were she can see the difference in what she is making on her fans and even people who just love one or two of her songs.
Personally, I am proud of Amber for showing herself to us and show people like me that they are not alone in this big world that can make you feel so tiny.
Amber works hard. Her Fans keep her going. Her Family keeps her loving. Her Friends keep her strong. She doesn't have pretend to be perfect or pretend to be someone she is not. I know she is amazing as she is.

SM spends A LOT of money on the MVs so to see an MV that probably cost a lot less, that can be considered on par with SM's MVs, this is waaaaaaay better quality. Can you imagine how good the quality if she had the same budget as most of SM's MVs?
