For anyone confused, this is what the song is about from my perspective. So obviously she kills someone, hence she is holding their heart. But she is having anxiety (for some odd reason) and is stumbling. She holds the mans heart close to her hiding it, to trick people. They all run into a safe room, so the killer is not going to find them. But since she is hiding that she is the killer, they let her in because they don't know that it's her.
So this is how I see this song and music video: The girl is basically the walking version of anxiety and the panic room is basically the human brain. Half the people in the room are trying to keep the girl out and the other half are doubting the group and wanting to let her in. Eventually they let the girl in, meaning they let the bad, anxious thoughts in so now theyre all gonna pay dearly for it. I mean that's pretty much what anxiety feels like for me, a constant battle between the logical side of my brain and the instrusive thoughts that my emotional side keeps believing and letting in.
Lyrics: Hell raising, hair raising.. I'm ready for the worst.. So frightening, face whitening.. Fear that you can't reverse.. My phone has no signal.. It's making my skin crawl.. The silence is so loud.. The lights spark and flicker.. With monsters much bigger than I can control now.. Welcome to the panic room Where all your darkest fears are gonna come for you, come for you Welcome to the panic room You'll know I wasn't joking when you see them too, see them too Welcome to the panic room.. Still waiting.. Hands shaking.. Maybe the coast will clear.. But these voices.. These strange noises.. They followed me in here.. My phone has no signal.. It's making my skin crawl.. Welcome to the panic room Where all your darkest fears are gonna come for you, come for you Welcome to the panic room You'll know I wasn't joking when you see them too, see them too Welcome to the panic room.. There's no crying wolves now.. Cause the truth has settled in.. Hiding under goose down.. For the nightmare to begin.. There's no crying wolves now.. Cause the truth has settled in.. Hiding under goose down.. For the nightmare to begin.. Welcome to the panic room Where all your darkest fears are gonna come for you, come for you Welcome to the panic room You'll know I wasn't joking when you see them too, see them too Hell raising, hair raising.. this music this video the (semi obvious but still awesome) twist in the video the fact that this video matches the lyrics but the lyrics are still extremely flexible It's perfection

Thank you. Living on a ledge with voices telling you to jump or you will burn alive is hard. Sometimes it feels as if jumping is the only thing that sounds right even though I'm not on fire. I don't want to jump but I'm afraid there could be a fire if I don't. Im in a constant state of confusion and fear. Panic sets in for me daily and I fear that one day I may be deceived into jumping to get away from a fire that never existed. I wish people understood what this feels like and how close that edge is for some. I'm embarrassed that people see me hysterical about something that doesn't exist and sometimes that embarrassment pushes me closer too. A fragile state of mind is a lonely and deadly state of mind. It literally feels like someone is behind me watching and waiting to push me off the ledge but if I chose to jump at least I made that choice. Its a scary state of confusion.
@@yameii3065 the brain is too powerful to control. Its like trying to tell your brain to stop your heartbeat, you cannot. The brain is too powerful to be persuaded and anxiety and depression is a heartbeat. You can't stop it.
For me, this song is about the journey of acceptance of negatively hued emotions and thoughts and how the state of mind can be at times like a panic room. However, by welcoming the negative thoughts and emotions to our awareness with acceptance is where the light of recovery pierces through the darkest moments.
Prisoners of our own mind. And yet while this song is bringing our worst anxiety into a 3D form it's comforting knowing you're not the only one held captive..

so, i’m someone with anxiety and some times panic/anxiety attacks, and this song just pulled out the definition of anxiety. It’s a battle between reality and the fiction of reality. I remember in middle school i had all these panic attacks on my appearance, stories, and just my big imagination. This song kind of just brought me to the real world. (and basically what’s happening is that she is like, THE anxiety and everyone else is trying to keep her away. and then once they let her in that’s when the “panic room” or the room they were locked in BECOMES a panic room. and that is kind of what the human brain does. Reality is locked away and the stories and anxiety enters and everyone and the brain just freaks out.)
For the people who dont understand It: There's An alarm Going cause there's a murderer in the house. So all the people are Going to the panic room and let Jamie in, not knowing she's the murderer. But she has the Heart from the person who she killed in her hands *and let me add something because of the replies* and she didnt know she was Going crazy in her head, that's what she said in the lyrics, till the moment her eyes glow red, and at the end you here An cut-off scream, that's when the people in the panic room realize she is the murderer Edit: holy cow i Just came back to this comment to see that it had 1.2k likes, thank you! @@astra0.0 Didnt you see her lifting her hands from her chest for a moment and looking at the heart that shes holding? and right after you see a guy lying dead on the ground
Lily Lionheart yes I did see it. Think about where she’s holding it. She’s holding at the place her heart would be. I just believe that it’s her heart that she’s holding. Also, people kept pushing her as if they didn’t see her and when she was let in, everyone was confused as if there was nothing there, but one person (the guy who opened the door) saw her.
“Panic room” is probably the darkest song yet. It’s about anxiety - something I feel like not a lot of songs talk about, although so many people feel it everyday. The song, to it’s very core, is about battling self doubt and fear, and how sometimes you can be your own biggest enemy. The phrase ‘panic room’ ties into the song by highlighting that when fear consumes you, you are automatically transplanted into a panicked head space. It’s kind of ironic because usually panic rooms are places people go to when a catastrophe has happened - but in this case it’s a promise of fake security- • • • This is a 𝐶𝑜𝑝𝑦 and 𝑃𝑎𝑠𝑡𝑒 off 𝑔𝑜𝑜𝑔𝑙𝑒 of HER 𝑟𝑒𝑣𝑖𝑒𝑤 so please stop coming at me with hate ones who have I was just trying to show the meaning for some that misunderstood some stuff. For those who are confused about the video, there's something attacking the hospital. Everyone is running away, and she trying to catch up, but it's hard cause she's a patient. Everyone gets to a safe room but her, and when she does get there, they're hesitant to let her in, cause their worried that whatever is trying to get them will follow her. However, the part where she stares at the screen at the end and her eyes go red implies that she is the thing that attacked, disguised as a helpless bleeding little girl. The way that the camera shoots off to the side at the end implies that she then ate everyone there. Lol. I saw her limping while everyone else ran away and instantly knew she was the demon, 😂 Edit: also, for those in the replies, I know the song is about anxiety. The video is something else entirely, like a lot of music videos.

As someone who suffers from generalised and social anxiety disorders, this song captures how the bad thoughts and emotions manage to slip through, they make you feel trapped and distress. They always manage to find their way in eventually tho
I never tire of this song, and the accompanying video is sheer brilliance! I've ready been inspired by this piece, and those who know will spot it right away in my writings. So perfect!
One of the best things about music, especially music like this, is that it can seem to have many different meanings. Like not only does it relate to my anxiety, but my love for horror.
This would be an AWSOME movie like if u agree Edit:OMG thx I've never have this many likes before the history iv ever gotten was 2 likes but thanks so much
When i was doing my bachelor i accidently deleted 1 month of work. At that time i did not know most things can be recovered. Oh the agony.... Yes i cried ;)
Ye she killed the guy at the beginning and they're fearing the killer but they don't know it is her. Also this wants to show that we are our own monsters and we don't know, because she looks frightened too. But also that we can't trust anyone. This song is deep If you stay a bit to think.
Tomy Brave wow.....I’v......I’v never really thought of that. Thx. I think you would be a great person to help people to realize things like this. I think what you said is amazing. And it REALLY like...... made me realize things. Thx
One of the darkest and harrowing vocal performances I've heard in a long time. Every version of it I love so much. The tone is amazing but the lyrics are just perfect and real. Especially relatable as I write a ton of music during panic attacks. Hope we can do a few songs together one day, hopefully without the panic attack though lol.
This song kept me from sinking into a deep dark place. Now I'm still stressed but it's a good stress. This song scratches my brain in all the right ways! Thank you Au/Ra
As a person whose suffered from anxiety since 1st grade, I can say this song accurately represents anxiety and depression and it’s been a struggle to cope with it and I had a lot of trouble with school work but I’ve learned how to cope with it and I’m doing much better even I have have panic attacks over some small things like a can’t find my other pair of shoe, or a missing shirt but if your struggling, make sure you know that your worth it and MANY people love and care about you in every way possible ❤️😊
um u dont have anxiety "till fist grade" its something ur born with. but good luck i hope u find a good coping method and also a real panic attack makes u go to the emergency room
I’ve had anxiety since the second grade and I’m now in 5th almost 6th and my anxiety has gotten really bad and I can barley go anywhere cause my anxiety makes me get sick even going into the car makes me feel really anxious and I can’t even go to school without get sick and I now go to therapy to help with it and I can relate to this song a lot having anxiety is like being in a panick room and I hate having anxiety and wish I could go places without feeling anxious and geting sick but if u have anxiety just know that your not alone
"my phone has no signal it's making my skin crawl" When you actually hear the lyrics you realize she probably needs her phone to listen to music so she can distract herself from all of the anxiety she is feeling.

I literally cried (I don't know why really, I just felt like crying). This song described what I am feeling every single time. For years I keep having nightmares (sleep paralysis included) sometimes I hurt myself (punching my legs and scratching my fingers (it bleeds btw)) when something triggers me to do that but sometimes there's just no reason I just felt uncomfortable, unsettled and I felt like crying for no reason at all. It just felt terrible and I can't breath. The people around me especially my mom and brother is really worried about me because literally every night I will suddenly wake up (from a deep sleep and suddenly my brain will just wake me up by showing that my love ones are not breathing) and wake them up because of fear of losing them and to make sure that they are breathing (in panic mode, I will shake them hysterically to wake them up and when I am sure that they are alive I'll go back to sleep (sometimes I unconsciously do that and go back to sleep like nothing happens, they tell that to me when I wake up)) and hell, how it feel so terrible to always have this kind of nightmare and even when I am wide awake it happens. The fear and sadness just won't leave me alone to the point that I questioned myself If I was truly happy (even once). I have not told this before not even a soul (What I felt and what I am feeling since my younger brother is experiencing much worse than me, he's literally blacking out and calling for help, he only has me to lean on and tell what he is feeling, hence I could not say it but they know about my nightmares). This became much worse when my older brother died last year and it won't let us sleep peacefully (both me and my younger brother).
I have PTSD and tried emdt.. didn't help but my therapist claimed I was the only one not cured that I must have walls up and couldn't be helped crazy . I gave up on "help" of that kind and turned to spiritual journey. fuck PTSD
I used to feel like you, when I was much younger. My biggest fear was losing my Dad. I cried a lot even before he ever died many years before that. By the time he died, I was numb. The fear was no longer there, i didn't even cry until way after and then i never cried again. What you described sounds like fear of security, like losing someone who protects you, and then them not being there so you live that fear because your subconscious mind is telling you that what will you do or how will you survive if the person that is able to support and be there for you or care about you, is gone? Its lack of trust in others and also lack of experience or life in general to know, you're more than perfectly capable of surviving alone. But that aloneness or solitude will not come until you have experienced being alone without the dad figure. It also disappears when you're loved a lot too. Like if someone else loves you and you know it or are sure of it, then the believe in itself is enough to put all those fears away. Like I said, I felt the same way... But by the time he had died, I had already been prepared for it, i outgrown it.
I have schizophrenia and I relate to this song, idk if it’s about that, but rn I feel depressed and that usually is what the beginning or psychosis looks like. I wanna quit all my meds but the monsters will come back. So will the voices. Welcome to the panic room
@Alexandra Glover When you have schizophrenia you hear voices or see things like people that aren't real, but they seem to be. A good friend of me is schizophrenic and he often talks about this voice who is telling him that he should harm or kill himself, or he sees cameras who are watching him and so on.
I saw a quote the other day that said: 'How are teenagers supposed to heal in a culture that glorifies self hate?' and I thought it fit in with the theme of this song so :) To anyone who needs to hear this today, it WILL get better, I promise. Stay safe, I love you xxx

Ok so the story goes like this: A murder occurred in a hospital, so the people in it went inside a safe room because they think the murderer is still in the hospital. When they see a girl at the door, they all agreed to let her in but there was one guy who didn't agree. Since all of the people in the room agreed but him, he had to agree too so he finally decided to let the girl in. Turns out, the girl was actually the murderer.
- HeatlessBlood7 - nah bc he didn’t want to let anyone but the original three in, and that’s why he was getting pushed around. He was really the only smart one, as they didn’t know who the murderer was lmao.

I'm ready for the worst..
So frightening, face whitening..
Fear that you can't reverse..
My phone has no signal..
It's making my skin crawl..

The lights spark and flicker..
With monsters much bigger than I can control now..
Welcome to the panic room
Where all your darkest fears are gonna come for you, come for you
Welcome to the panic room
You'll know I wasn't joking when you see them too, see them too
Welcome to the panic room..
Still waiting..
Hands shaking..
Maybe the coast will clear..
But these voices..
These strange noises..
They followed me in here..
My phone has no signal..
It's making my skin crawl..
The silence is so loud..
The lights spark and flicker..
With monsters much bigger than I can control now..
Welcome to the panic room
Where all your darkest fears are gonna come for you, come for you

Thank you for adressing this
I have anxiety..It’s hard to control..No matter how hard I try..

What?
For me, this song is about the journey of acceptance of negatively hued emotions and thoughts and how the state of mind can be at times like a panic room. However, by welcoming the negative thoughts and emotions to our awareness with acceptance is where the light of recovery pierces through the darkest moments.
Prisoners of our own mind.
And yet while this song is bringing our worst anxiety into a 3D form
it's comforting knowing you're not the only one held captive..

so, i’m someone with anxiety and some times panic/anxiety attacks, and this song just pulled out the definition of anxiety.
For the people who dont understand It:
There's An alarm Going cause there's a murderer in the house. So all the people are Going to the panic room and let Jamie in, not knowing she's the murderer. But she has the Heart from the person who she killed in her hands *and let me add something because of the replies* and she didnt know she was Going crazy in her head, that's what she said in the lyrics, till the moment her eyes glow red, and at the end you here An cut-off scream, that's when the people in the panic room realize she is the murderer
Edit: holy cow i Just came back to this comment to see that it had 1.2k likes, thank you!
Edit 2: how did this get 3k likes woot

It’s kind of ironic because usually panic rooms are places people go to when a catastrophe has happened - but in this case it’s a promise of fake security-

Lol. I saw her limping while everyone else ran away and instantly knew she was the demon, 😂
Edit: also, for those in the replies, I know the song is about anxiety. The video is something else entirely, like a lot of music videos.

@Gacha Adri lollll hate facing people
I literally cried (I don't know why really, I just felt like crying).
I'm so sorry you're going through this, hope you get a good night's rest soon. I relate to this song as well.
Reach out to The Creator. He's the only place to find peace and protection.

I have schizophrenia and I relate to this song, idk if it’s about that, but rn I feel depressed and that usually is what the beginning or psychosis looks like. I wanna quit all my meds but the monsters will come back. So will the voices. Welcome to the panic room
I don't take meds...but the voices do come back every now and then
You'll be OK, I promise. I'm here if you need to talk 💓
@Alexandra Glover When you have schizophrenia you hear voices or see things like people that aren't real, but they seem to be. A good friend of me is schizophrenic and he often talks about this voice who is telling him that he should harm or kill himself, or he sees cameras who are watching him and so on.
Hope you're okay . . . I'm here for you 🤗
Sorry, what the hell is that pfp?
I hope you get the right things to help you❤
I wasn’t feeling this till she said “welcome to the panic room” and now I can’t stop listening

It's about anxiety and being trapped in your own head. We know that bro@@rws0010
True I can relate to this
I saw a quote the other day that said: 'How are teenagers supposed to heal in a culture that glorifies self hate?' and I thought it fit in with the theme of this song so :)
To anyone who needs to hear this today, it WILL get better, I promise. Stay safe, I love you xxx

The lyrics:
Hell raising, hair raising
I'm ready for the worst
So frightening, face whitening
Fear that you can't reverse
My phone has no signal
It's making my skin crawl
The silence is so loud
The lights spark and flicker
With monsters much bigger
Than I can control now
Welcome to the panic room
Where all your darkest fears are gonna
Come for you, come for you
Welcome to the panic room
You'll know I wasn't joking
When you see them too, see them too
Welcome to the panic room
Still waiting, hands shaking
Maybe the coast will clear
But these voices, these strange noises
They followed me in here
My phone has no signal
It's making my skin crawl
The silence is so loud
The lights spark and flicker
With monsters much bigger
Than I can control now
Welcome to the panic room
Where all your darkest fears are gonna
Come for you, come for you,
Welcome to the panic room
You'll know I wasn't joking
When you see them too, see them too
Welcome to the panic room
There's no crying wolves now
'Cause the truth has settled in
Hiding under goose down
For your nightmare to begin
There's no crying wolves now
'Cause the truth has settled in
Hiding under goose down
For your nightmare to begin
Welcome to the panic room
Where all your darkest fears are gonna
Come for you, come for you
Welcome to the panic room
You'll know I wasn't joking
When you see them too, see them too
Hell raising, hair raising
I'm ready for the worst

Lyrics are already in the comments but thanks :)
Ok so the story goes like this:
A murder occurred in a hospital, so the people in it went inside a safe room because they think the murderer is still in the hospital. When they see a girl at the door, they all agreed to let her in but there was one guy who didn't agree. Since all of the people in the room agreed but him, he had to agree too so he finally decided to let the girl in. Turns out, the girl was actually the murderer.
which one doesn't agree, because I missed that
No. He was the only one who would let her in but the rest didn't want her to come in I believe.
@@amybramhall3960 oh is that so?
- HeatlessBlood7 - nah bc he didn’t want to let anyone but the original three in, and that’s why he was getting pushed around. He was really the only smart one, as they didn’t know who the murderer was lmao.
