This home is darling. The 14 feet in width really makes a difference. The bump outs are cleverly placed as are the doors and windows. She made it work perfectly for her and her family. That is what it’s all about. ❤
I always played in the woods as a little girl. My dad had been raised by the Chilean Indians in South America and taught me so much. My dream has always been to go back to the woods! I’ll be 72 this year. But I won’t give up on my dream…….you’re so inspiring and I bet joyful…..

This is a gorgeous cottage which will be even better when you have a water source that allows to have water inside and outside for the shower you plan to add. Having an outdoor bathtub in a bathhouse with large windows that either could open with screens or picture type so you can enjoy the view and feel like being outside, but without having to deal with bugs or the difficulty of keeping it clean of debris from the trees and wildlife. A small heater would not only prevent frozen or burst water lines, but an amazing bathing experience year round. A candle lit bubble bath with snow or falling snow outside the windows world be heavenly and romantic especially with a soaking tub large enough for 2. The place where my husband and I stayed for our honeymoon had a similar setup except it was inside of the cottage roughly 10 feet away from the very large stone fireplace. The cottage had a working water wheel on the outside on the wall behind the headboard. 50 feet away down a slight slope was a nice sized pond which would have been great for ice skating. We got married just days before Christmas and the small resort was in the BlueRidge Mountains just off the parkway. We had an amazing snow storm that unfortunately started with an ice storm that covered the snow already on the ground and was hidden underneath the new layer of snow making it a bit dangerous to walk around let alone drive on. We actually lost power due to the ice and then the heavy wet snow on top. Thankfully we had brought in a lot of firewood before the storm hit because you needed an axe or pick to break apart the wood left outside. We had also brought food that didn't need cooking which was a huge blessing. Our car was under the cottage in the garage that didn't have a separate door that would allow you access to the inside that would allow you to open the garage door to allow you to get your car out. Which was a big concern since we were hosting our first annual New Year's Eve party which was a huge deal for us since we had met each other the previous New Year's Eve when mutual friends had set us up on a blind date and we had gotten married 8 days before our 1 year anniversary of our first date. We have been together for 33 years as of September2023.

@@jennyboguhn9453 I'm originally from Massachusetts and remember those New England winters! Even after living in Tahoe for years, I'm likely too much of a wimp for Maine! I do think of moving there, however. It's beautiful.

Beautiful cozy home! You did an incredible job with the floor plan and decorating! Great price too! I would put two white curtains at the bed entrance. It will hide the bed a bit and make it look more cozy and inviting! Love your gorgeous treehouse!

Wowsa! What a gorgeous build and the area it was placed in is just as beautiful! I'm thrilled for Jenny that her dream came true, and she was able to get her tree house! Having it placed on the rock feels so special. Like connected even more so to the earth. The only thing that I'd change is the bathroom door. A pocket door or farm style door would have been my choice to keep it unobtrusive looking while still offering privacy. I'd be just about be living on that deck if it were my home. What a dream!

OH My this is right up my alley it is gorgeouse how comfy cozy it is . Spectacular build Spectacular views off that deck . Jenny sure new what she was doing and what she wanted nice build . The only thing i would have changed is i wouldnt want a bed in my kitchen due to cooking smells id have it in the loft, and pocket door for privicy for bathroom. But it is still cute and happy Jenny got her tree house.

That's amazing, I don't think I have ever had a dream to make come true. But having a tiny home would be awesome. I love all of the open space of this build. I can see why she was able to bring her dream into a reality as she knew exactly what she wanted and had it all planned out before she ever started the build. I'm sure she has been successful in most things she has set out to do in her life because of her organizational foresight.

Beautiful house and especially the location : 10 out of 10. However that bathroom / composting toilet next to the kitchen with a shower curtain was a total let down. 1 out 10. Install a 2x4 to screw in along the two ceiling joints and install a beam like a grid. It will cover all the joints.

Anyone who has ever used a tablesaw needs to pause the video @11:41 and look at the Amish tablesaw on the right in the frame. I have never seen anything like it.

A lot of the equipment used by the Amish will be like that... They don't believe in being reliant on a grid, etc. So most of their power needs are provided by off-grid methods. It's not that they're against electricity, just the reliance on it and services that requires others to provide it. So you'll see a lot of pneumatic tools, gas motors used to power equipment, windmills and other off-grid methods of generating mechanical power, etc.
Some they created but there's actually a long history of such tools. They were just more common before battery powered tools took over...

I think the prospects of showing outside in Maine are daunting.
Otherwise, it is a beautiful house.
We have a removable ladder we use when we have guest.
