For the ones that dont know. This engine design started in 1964 . It is the only piston engine design ever to run a sub 4 second run in the 1320.
It has been and always will be the king of the 1320. Long live live the Chrysler Hemi.

I think you meant the first sub 4 second run in the 1000 feet. The quickest quarter mile/1320 run was a 4.4 something by Tony Schumacher, I think, at Pomona. No piston powered car has ever gone into the 3s in the full quarter mile. While the modern 426 Race Hemi made its debut in 1964, the first Hemi was 331 cubes in 1951. The reason no other manufacturer has built a true Hemi is that Chrysler wisely patented the design in 1951.

I noticed the lettering on the driver side rear that said Hi Level Plymouth Homestead PA: that's where I'm from and currently live!!! My brother bought a brand new '67 barracuda fastback from that dealership.

That is pretty cool. I bought my used 67' fastback in 75' and STILL currently own it.
